I like the Arsenic and Old Lace episode and the Andy Saves Barney's Morale episode where the town laughs at Barney for trying to arrest the Bank President. I like the Goodbye Sheriff Taylor episode where Barney jails the entire town while Andy is gone for the day. The Fun Girl episodes were also my favorites along with the "Barney and Thelma Lou...Pfsst episode and the Goober and the Art of Love episode. Another favorite of mine was one of the later years episodes where Howard Sprague's mother gets married and moves away with her new husband. Howard decides to redecorate the house into a 60's bachelor pad (pillows on the floor, etc) and he throws a party but only Andy, Helen, Goober and an uninvited Emmett show up! 🤣
In the nightclub scene when the fun girls are seen laughing with Gomer and Goober, Goober has just done his “Judy, Judy,Judy” bit for the hundredth time.
I like the one where the fun girls meet Aunt Bea and Opie. Daphne asks Opie if he's gonna be a Sheriff when he grows up and Skippy says "no Daph, you know how that works...the son of a cop is usually a gangster!"

They would have needed to come up with a different reason for them to come to Mayberry. Maybe dating Goober and Gomer again. A 4th episode with Helen and Thelma getting mad wouldn't have been fun no matter how it was written.
Big fan. Hated Helen's response, though, which made a bad character (hers) even worse. Loved Jean Carson. Both actresses were incredibly smart, by the way.
Every time I go thrifting and see some gaudy piece of mid century furniture or especially a loudly designed lamp from the 50s or 60s I like to think how Jean Carson's character from The Twilight Zone would have thought it was "real ritzy" so she as a great character actress stayed with me! Haha!
Those 3 "Fun Girls" episodes are high up there on my favorites list. Wish they developed a "spin off" series for them. The way "Green Acres" was spun off of "Petticoat Junction". In fact, "The Andy Griffith Show" was a spin off of "The Danny Thomas Show" after only ONE episode.
Jean Carson can be seen in the June 22,1949 CBS Studio One television production of "June Moon". It featured a 24 year old then unknown in the lead named Jack Lemmon. The co-star was another then unknown 24 year old actress named Eva Marie Saint. It can be found on You Tube with a simple search.

Growing up in Mayberry my parents preferred Thelma Lou or Miss Crump for my lifetime squeeze. I had to overrule them and fling with "The Fun girls" for almost 60 years and counting.
If you would have scrolled the bottom faster, we couldn't read any of the words. As slow as you scrolled it, I could read anywhere from 2-3 words. Also 'helped' that some of what you read was being scrolled at the bottom. Ingenious.
How two of the Mount Pilots naughtiest Fun Girls... could have only 3 episodes...yet...so much impact on the program...is mind boggling. A Fun Girls spin-off could have really rocked the TV world.
