It's too bad that EZ & Angel never found out that Miguel was their brother. Also wanted Angel to know that Adelita didn't just leave him.
Dude I know! I don’t really know what there would be to say about it but the fact that he died with that secret?! Dammit!
Angel did see the photos in Miguel's hand so I think he wondered a little about Miguel being there and what he may have wanted to say if EZ hadn't told him that he didn't belong there.

She did tho. She kept playing wit the cartel then decided to go to the group who she started with and forgot they know who works for cartels.
@davidgator2540 Yeah, but she didn't just abandon him. Yes, she should've told him something, at least just in case. In his eyes, she just up & walked out on her family. He literally says he can't believe that she just left. She was on her last debt to the cartel. I'm sure she knew there was a chance she'd be killed but certainly didn't know for sure, & esp not by Minnie nonetheless.
Alvarez said last season “ I’m glad I won’t be around to watch it burn” looks like he knew they would all meet their demise
I guess that was the Foreshadowing.

As much as it pissed me off that EZ usurped Marcus's spot at the table, it ironically saved his life at the end of the story.
I thought he was going back to the club but he chooses his family. 👍👏

I think she was killed so there were no potential witnesses. Angel is just as guilty so he's not telling anything.
The fact she was pregnant and couldn't wait to tell him the news made it all the harder.

The worst thng about Bottles killing Sophia is that HE was basically the only one who knew--or suspected, at least--that she was pregnant.
Then based on the sounds it appears he met his demise shortly after. Karma..for him.

@@jaybrewer3990 oh I'm aware, I just meant the entire series, he came close many times. And it's common for someone close to the main character to die. These last few episodes he was cutting it close as well.
Did he do something right? Or was it because he had a kid? Was he the son, everyone thought EZ was supposed to be? Or was that just the way a TV show ended?

So all they had to do to win the war was rush in with baseball bats and shoot a few times , very anti-climactic ending. What happend to Terry? He just came in to the mayans club and thats it we never see what happend after. Sons were supposedly to be a big club yet no1 ever done anything to avenger Happy's death who was an OG member and sgt at arms of the mother charter? Why they killed off Ez's gf but let Angel go , makes absolutely no sense. Galindo never telling Ez or Angel hes their bro. Letty wanting to kill mayans so badly and then just took off with the dog to the biker chicks? Also what was the point of all the bs stories with Hank and his mother and Nails , nothing ever came out of it. I knew this is gonna be rushed and disappointing but holy crap , this was the next biggest disappointment of a finale just after Dexters new blood finale.
They spent season 5 on these stupid side plots for nothing. Isaac was supposed to be the crazy bad ass who dies in a fukkin ally begging like a bitch. Elgin probably knew this season was shit and said fuck it let's just end it. Worst fukkin garbage ending ever.
Absolutely agree. They killed off Isaac way too early in the episode. What was the point of meeting that guy in the karate gui who owned the pipeline if he was going to be in literally one scene only? Wtf happened with Soledad? Why not show the club getting blown away by the ATF agents instead of being left to wonder if anyone and who survived? This whole season was a mess. Where the fuck was Tig and Chibs? They were just never mentioned again. And it's not even apparent if the Sons Of Anarchy were actually all destroyed or just a few charters....

For a club at war. SAMDINO picked a horrible time to relax all of the sudden. No lockdown. No armed guards at the entrance like the many times before. Hell, with the truce to not involve charters beyond SoCal, after Happy's death, over. They could have even called in Tacoma (their biggest charter) like SAMCRO always did. Naw, they just partied because why worry. It's not like they just killed the father of Mayans MC Pres .

Oh my God in my opinion though it was not so Hollywood and yes that makes TV shows a lot more interesting it was a lot more realistic yeah the way they ran up in San Bernardino's clubhouse after that charter had been falling apart is about realistic and the pipeline guy might have only been in one scene but that meeting kick-off more than one event some of this stuff I think you actually have to be from that side of the tracks to see hell no they didn't wipe out all the sons we're talking about 22 charters in other countries not counting the US no they did not wipe that out by taking out San Bernardino and obviously chibs and Tig as I could probably see myself thinking in that did not want there to be Sam Dino charter anymore and what we know about samcro is in the original sons of anarchy and this is pretty much true a Mexican biker gang we'll take ourselves out eventually and let them take out samdino and Isaac in the process because they're just as much of a mess and are already warring with each other now I know the Hollywood enthusiasts wanted to see a bunch of action and redwood originals show up and back up their flunkies but that's not how real life works
I DONT know man this is very dark finale, Mayans looked wayyyyyy more savage than Samcro. And the story telling felt incomplete it actually felt like the producers where trying to shove everything down to end the show.
Quinn was right, they killed more of themselves than SAMCRO did.

Yea I was a little confused on that too, its been years since I've seen season 1 so my memories a little off. But EZ never really "ratted" if im correct on the club or Galindo?? And correct me if im wrong, but wasnt it Taza the one who started both damn wars in the first place?? The civil war he caused advertently and the one with the SOA inadvertently because he or Palo (cant remember for sure which) dumped Montez's body in that barrel to be found later by Jess who just so happened to be a spy for SOA out of nowwhere?? And when he was discovered by Bishop, Bishop just lets him go free with out any consequences??

I agree. Well we got a rushed season and last episode. We needed a season 6 but it's a let down. I really wanted EZ and Angel to find out Miguel was his Brother such a buildup to that story and nothing came out of it.
It was clear luisa wasnt gonna do anything after her storyline was abandoned after season 1. With all that, her death was symbolic in how she went from adelita to the diablo so mouse killed her because she had become the monster she taught mouse to fight
The moral of this ending was that actual family is the most important thing. Angel left for his son, Alvarez stayed alive because he chose family over the club. The government and the police win at the end of the day
I wish they wouldn’t have abandoned EZ’s flashbacks and photographic memory. Could’ve been cool during his death scene. 😢
How do you kill EZ off the show and let the worst one in the show called Potter live. This dude gets away with everything and there's no retribution? This ending was not what I expected.

I think that was the point….In real life, the REAL “bad guys” (corrupt law enforcement agents, politicians who benefit from the drug trade and gun lobbyists while pretending they GAF) but the gangsters never escape consequences…

I knew she was planning something when that scene was going on. Especially when she gave the bodyguard a look after he told her that he took care of Galindo's mess when he had one.
EZ’s best hope was leaving the club and moving away with his girlfriend when she left for nursing school. Instead he kills her the next season and truly lost his soul.
He was gonna leave but his Dad told Gabby to leave him So EZ chose the club over family because his dad broke his heart when he did that . After that Ez wasn’t the same

@@alb.4089 I like the fact that somethings never got wrapped up. There are mysteries in real life, right? People go missing, secrets are kept. Taza was spared because Bishop wanted a reason to go to war with that gang ( I forgot their name) and Riz was dying anyway. Ez killed a brother who was doing time for the club and EZ was a rat. Just like in SOA criminals say the live by a code, but how can you trust a criminal to follow rules to the letter?
@@derrick-uw2pi I agree. Sometimes things are best kept as a mystery for the viewers to wonder and imagine even after the series is over that's why they call it cliffhanges. Like people will wonder about Angel and his son and hope they have a great life. Even myself hopes that Potter doesn't catch Angel even though the show is over. And criminals are criminals there's no good in them no matter how hard they try to redeem themselves.
The sons of anarchy member that Alvarez was talking to was right. The Mayans kill each other more than the SOA does. In this last episode prove that. Nobody survived Santo Padre. And they had all their other chapters damn near destroyed.

I think that was Quinn. His kutte did say "Redwood Original" I'm guessing that Alvarez drove all the way up to Charming to confront him and walk out alive? Well Quinn didn't see a point in doing so.
I hope they continue this at some point so we can see kodi’s response when she finds out they killed EZ’s pregnant girlfriend. She wanted EZ dead but didn’t think of the blow back that could occur by attempting to avenge creeper. She wasn’t woman enough to seek revenge herself, she let the club do it. She reminds me of agent stahl and I hated agent stahl lol

At the beginning of this season, I wanted nothing more than for Angel, Hank, Gilly, and Bottles to come out unscathed. After what that latter three put Angel through in the show's last few moments, I'm only sorry I didn't get to watch them getting shot to pieces by the ATF. To hell with the Santo Padre chapter.
It was a dead giveaway that EZ was going to die, when his girl told him "I'll tell you tonight."
Ez could have been one of the greatest characters ever written. I think then rushing and putting to many plots that lead to nothing messed this season and series up.

Ez was still one of the greatest characters ever on screen. But Mayans could've been one of the greatest shows ever, with a better season 5 and potential season 6. Sad to see it end
I really liked the ending. It’s not the way I wanted things to play out but that’s how life is. At least Angel got away with his son.

Bishop thought killing EZ was a good opportunity for him to become the mc president again, so after they killed EZ he felt like he was on top, only for the ATF to come & raid their clubhouse & kill most of the Mayans & arrest them. Killing EZ & his baby mama was pointless because bishop & the other Mayans that took part in their death was killed by the ATF the same night & those that wasn’t killed were arrested & put away in jail for life 😂 I was happy for bishop & the Mayans downfall that took part in EZ murder.
Killing he's girl was the saddest part was gutted they killed EZ and her never thought I'd be rooting for the mayans to be killed but after what they did kinda made me feel a bit better when the ATF turned up guns blazing
The fist 3 seasons were brilliant. The last two seasons were so rushed. But I have to admit the last episode was one of the most heartbreaking episodes of television I have ever seen. This show needed a sixth season to wrap up. This season was rushed.
well they shouldn't have spent the first 2 seasons showing the cartel family half the time. They shouldn't have created dozens of side plots that dragged though the seasons and went no where. 5 seasons was plenty to tell the story they wanted to tell. It was just poorly done.

I don’t even think ez ever found out angel burn the warehouse. The rat shit is the worse. Cause he never even ratted on the club. All he had to do was just explain what happen. Letty was a waste of a character to get so much screen time. It was terribly written.
@@dariussmith5748 Letty got screen time because she's a girl, plain and simple. Adelita's revolution storyline was fun in the first season or two (can't remember), but when they brought it back in this final season and it didn't amount to anything other than getting Adelita killed... what? As for Angel, he saw the pictures so he might've suspected something (but still, it never concluded and there's no reason to believe they got to speak to each other), and as far as burning the warehouse goes Sophia told Ez about her conversation with Angel so he'd probably added up the rest.
People keep saying the show needed more time, but what it needed is more focused writers and simply better people doing this job. The writing after Sutter left was GoT-season-8 level of terrible.
It definitely needed 13 episodes for last season but overall really good can fill in the missing information yourself

You guys remember SOA? How invested we were in Jax, Tara, the entire club, the legacy behind John Teller and the First 9?
You know what I think? We’re missing Kurt Sutter. That’s why I think the show was as doomed as the club. After the ball got rolling, he got fired.

There is some good news to this story. Disney is wanting to sell off fx to someone. So I have a feeling Sutter will be back to make the shows he's wanted . The first 9 show or a show about Jax sons after his death. So we might have more soa stuff in the future.
I was invested in Jax. He was a shitty character who they tried to make bulletproof. Opie was way better. Jax went out like a sale out. He didn't face the reaper like a man and would have said the same thing if it was someone else who did what he did.

That ending as cold asf. The way ez met his demise really bothered me. That was a slow and brutal death for him.
Yeah didn't expect that. They took turns stabbing him that was messed up. Only thing that disappointed me was when the feds arrived and they didn't show the shootout which was pointless.

Brah any 1 gonna mention Taza? Wtf was the pt of him coming back for a cameo and that too before the finale. I already knew this shit was gonna be garbage bc they absolutely wasted so many episodes this season but how they managed to come up with this shit of a finale is mind blowing. Isaac getting smoked by breaking his leg like an 80 yr old osteoporosis patient after rolling down the stairs was the biggest indicator of what was to come. All that build up for a high school fight scene and shot to the face lol jesus. How bout the raiding the soa clubhouse with bats to pull out 9mms to shoot at like the most random time in the fight sequence I couldn't stop laughing and why not just roll up guns blazing. Emily smoking both Galindo and his bodyguard was so predictable yet it was still so cringe. Damn man if they didn't waste time with all these storylines the finale would have been easier to digest.

Thats fair. I think we all hoped the finale would be amazing and reconcile some things that it didnt. The show definitely was entertaining throughout the years. Its just that soa was so much better

The logic is simple the old lady is always a threat to snitch after killing her old man… can take a chance same way they killed all the other girls for snitching or possibly snitching… plus for all they knew she knew EZ was a snitch too even thO she didn’t
They ended up getting raided and killed by the ATF because of the loose lips of a bargirl, but you somehow do not know why they would off Sophia, huh?

Yea Bishop shouldnt have let Taza live when he found out he was the real reason why all the wars started in the first place just to cover up him being gay.... And I didnt like how Bottles of all people killed Sofia. I think he shouldve let her go since he knew she was pregnant and he was kind of the goofy, empathetic one out of the club... Isaac's death was dumb. The whole club fighting with bats and pipes was just dumb.

In a disappointing finale like this you just gotta take what was good about it. Angel and Maverick survived and better yet he got outta there after Santo Padre were presumed killed by the ATF. I should have predicted that Potter would win in the very end. The smartest and #1 villain in this Universe hands down. It was overall a huge disappointment In totality but there was some satisfaction to come with it.
Did you expect all to ride off into the Sunet and live happily every after

Even if they had a 5 minute scene maybe corner EZ at some point for an explanation of everything that occured would have been nice. I understand that this Universe is not about fairy tale endings. Who I wanted to survive did. Problem like with most tv show finales is it's rushed and contradicted by not having characters available to give more satisfying end that were the maim reason what was happening was happening

I hope not. I would like to see there club in a spin-off, but not a whole show based around them. I was hoping they was gonna kill Letty since she betrayed them and Letty just became annoying as hell after Coco died. It was so obvious she was up to no good sneaking around, disapearing and reapearing out of nowhere but their dumb asses blamed EZ and the Mayans.
no Bishop isn’t going to be alive anymore. All the other chapters and left already. The only ones in the clubhouse were the members of Santo Padre. You don’t have two dozen FBI agents storm and then they just start shooting bullets in an empty clubhouse. If there was that many shots going off, that means they were shooting people they’re all dead.
The Mayans are done. They are presented as being relatively small compared to SOA. This was symbolized with Alvarez having a new son aka a new chance at life now that his creation was ruined by ez and potter

Bishop is truly hypocritical and envious. He allowed Che to go unpunished for killing Riz and kept it a secret from everyone. I understand that Ezekiel deserved his fate, but it seems like Bishop had been wanting this for a while. I don't care that Ezekiel was a traitor; he sacrifices a lot to end the war and restore the Mayans MC's reputation. I hope Potter succeeded in eliminating everyone in that room.

I thought the ending was "perfect". This show was never about a group of men making bad decisions as part of a motorcycle club/gang. This show was about life decisions/consequences. No matter who was still standing, nobody won. There's a price to pay being associated with that type of culture. Each character on the show had opportunity to make different decisions. Sophia knew what being there would lead to and she made the choice to be with EZ. Everybody feels the loss - even us the audience - it was hard to watch.
You're right, in the sense that you have to face the consequences of your actions, but we are talking about a TV series here.
Mayans was obviously a badly written show, with many plot holes, meaningless characters and poor resolutions. That's not the proper way to tell a story.
@@alanpassos468 I respectfully disagree. There were certainly moments during the five seasons where the arch may have widened too far (the South American relations specifically). Of course we would want to know details on the purpose of certain plots, yet I'm not certain that was the overall intention. From where the main character (EZ) started and where he ended it was all a kaleidoscope of decisions and how everyone around you is touched in some way by those decisions. It wasn't a perfect show but I was satisfied with the ending - even if it did leave room for a potential expansion.
@@kingofpunks2698 Never said they were. That's the point. In real life "good" people get caught up in the consequences of what "bad" decision makers decide to do. It started with EZ's mom, she did nothing but love their father (a former cartel member) and the worst example was Gabby - but his father warned her over and over not to be involved with EZ. They only took her hostage because of her relationship with them not because she saw their faces.
You're entitled to your opinion, and I respect that, but that's a badly written show and here's some of the reasons why:
- Riz being killed by Taza was never brought to the table, and therefore he never faced consequences. It only made him go on a sidetrack and that in itself had added nothing to the main plot.
- The fact that they kept teasing this war with SOA, since Montez's cousin was shot dead.
- Montez, a member of the mother charter, being killed by Mayans, and SAMCRO, aware of that, decided not to interfere in the war.
- If killing Montez wasn't enough, Mayans killed Happy, with no build up whatsoever (besides, it's not like they didn't have the perfect opportunity to do so a few seasons back), and still SAMCRO wouldn't do anything about it...
- Emily having no impact on the protagonist, despite her being shown almost every episode.
- From the start Coco, Gilly, Angel and EZ were working with Los Olvidados and Adelita behind the club's back, and there were never any repercussions to that.
- Most of the main members of Mayans had no impact on the main plot.
- Potter getting away after everything he did.
- The show had a whole side story involving Felipe Reyes and Dita Galindo to find out that Miguel was Felipe's son, and nothing ever came out of it.
- Broken Saints spent more time riding bikes than the Mayans in the last season, but we got to see Angel play with his son a lot, I guess that's why people tune in to watch right?
- Letty coming back to the Broken Saints like nothing ever happened.
- EZ's rise to power was not developed enough.
- Hank's side story didn't amount to anything.
- Apparently SOA San Dino are so careless that, in the middle of a war with the Mayans, they thought it was a good idea to go party, with no weapons, no guards, and got taken out with men armed with baseball bats. That's completely inconsistent with what was established in the SOA universe.
- What happened to Soledad?
- Why haven't the cops gone after Angel? He was just as involved in the war as anyone else.
That's just off the top of my head, I'm sure that if I rewatch the series I can come up with more plot holes, inconsistencies and so on.
@@alanpassos468 I TOTALLY get what you're saying and why. But that's the point I'm attempting to make from my observation. Using everything you stated is the evidence that the overall point wasn't about MC politics, it was about showing what happens in the real lives of these people and the internal battles they face having to choose who they want to be. We saw men (Felipe, Alvarez, Angel, Gilly, Miguel and Potter) deal with the pressure of fatherhood and each showed us a different perspective based on what their fears were. Yes the show could've been more detailed where the inner workings of the culture were concerned but I'm convinced they were always aiming to send another (deeper) more important message.
This scene made me cry for two days. Having a brother myself, and being so heavily invested in these characters. What a show!
I hated the series finale for the simple fact that angel didn't protect ez and the fact that he stabbed him along with the rest of the mayans at the end was truly disgusting and despicable.

Ez always felt guilty for letting Angel down when he went to the can. He knew the price to pay to redeem his brother’s life was his own life, and he planned all of that since the beginning. Now, Sophie didn’t have to be taken out like that! This episode reminded me of the ambush and gruesome slaughter of Starks´s family in Games of Throne!

SOOOOO, are we gonna ignore how far back Emily started planning this execution? Some episodes ago, when she told the camera installer to set the camera in a specific place, and he said that would create a blind spot.....Emily insisted. That was the biggest part of her plan. She even slowly somewhat befriended the bodyguard to get him to lower his guard. The shooting of both Galindo and his bodyguard by her was never caught on tape. She was off camera. We see that in the episode after the fact. Emily was extremely patient, cold and calculating. She understood the assignment and focused totally on getting it done.
We just didn't care. that whole side story was unnecessary and dumb

Well, the whole purpose of EZ Reyes in this last season was that he wanted to die. He had realized this after the death of Gaby (who was reminiscent of his mother’s soul), where he lost his soul, that Death (Mr. Mayhem) himself was going to come for him, but first, he was going to make sure that he killed one of Death’s most odious and sick (‘sick’ as in “sick in the head” of a person having abnormal or unnaturally tendencies; perverted and corrupt) agents, Isaac! EZ had accepted that fate because that was the only way he would be with his mother in Heaven.
EZ was likened to the benevolent god and/or King Osiris, whose club members had risen-up against him to stab him in the back in cahoots with their ringleader Set, a.k.a. Bishop, who just wanted to get back into his former seat-of-power, which he did not deserve because he was a shitty fuckin' leader who was a proverbial ‘blackhole’ with no real vision of how to obtain the ultimate power and control that he craved in order to fill the void inside him.
EZ only used his cousin in the DEA to get out of prison, 'cause he was framed for a murder that he didn’t commit. It was the only way out, and all EZ’s cousin wanted was info on the cartel that the Mayans whom enslaved to, made to kidnap and cut up people alive and shit, but neither the club nor Angel would’ve ever felt any blowback if his information lead to something though.
When the ATF rolled in there ‘hot’ and executed them, they got what they deserved!
Yeah, EZ isnt in heaven bro. He murdered people mercilessly and basically always put his ambitions over everyone else's. At least jax went out on his own terms and set the sons up for prosperity and some level of peace
We need a spin off to redeem this episode…Maverick grows up and kills Mouse, Angel finally gets closure and dies old and in his sleep, Sophia somehow survived, Emily finds out that Miguel was brothers with The Reyes, Potter dies violently😃👏🏾
The best ending would of been SOA charging into the Mayans led by Tig And Chibs, that would of been the perfect ending! Just my opinion killing all of Santo Padre members

So early in the Finale Alvarez confronts EZ and EZ kills him to keep his secret as his wife is going into labor and then everything that happened happens but in the ending with your SOA prediction they kill everyone and save EZ for last and then in walks JAX as a nonmember to kill the man who killed his man ALVAREZ & Bang! Kills him series over. Makes up for everything

That sounds like a far better ending. I enjoyed this show, but the last season watching EZ basically be Jax was kinda hard to watch. EZ was pretty brutal but man he don't compare to Jax motherfucking Teller.
I’m glad EZ got his end, but this finale is either trash or worse. At least Angel is free of the Mayans and Emily is free of Galindo

I was so upset that Sophie didnt have the chance to tell EZ about her being pregnant, the whole thing with Luisa and Angel not knowing the truth about her not coming back. I think they could've had a couple more episodes where things all happened in a different way and not just all in one episode. I really wish Potter was killed he was a dirty mf and poor creeper he was definitely a loyal brother who went out unfortunately by a agent that pretty much was hanging out with him getting info on the club. I am happy about Alvarez and his wife and family having a happy ending!❤

It felt like they definitely weren’t planning to end after 5 seasons, but had to find some way to wrap it up. While I love the show, it’s makes me sad that there wasn’t much resolution.
I agree. This finale was way too rushed, bad writing and editing. Bouncing all over the place with so many unanswered questions. I also hated that Letty went back to that stupid girl club. But I'm sure they did that for some kind of spin off.
I understand not dragging a show out but a 6th season would’ve made sense to let the honestly really well thought out characters breath a bit. By no means horrid but had a ton of potential.
SAMCRO not avenging Happy, SAMDINO going down so easily barely putting up a fight was so disappointing. There was so much more they could’ve done with Isaac’s character and him along with SAMDINO looked so weak. This last season and episode was just disappointing
Well presumably they would avenge happy but the last few episodes happened in a short period of time while EZ and SP had the element of surprise. They never got the chance obviously cuz ez is dead and angel ran
