JD Pardo is underrated. So intellectually sound and descriptive when discussing the character of Ezekiel.
The whole cast did a wonderful job. The only thing I wish could have happen was that EZ, Angel, and Miguel could have acknowledged that they were brothers. I thought it was going to happen at the Father's funeral. Great show. Thank you for this piece of art.
I agree the ending was great, wish it lasted longer. But the killing of his pregnant girlfriend was soo unnecessary and I really hoped that the brothers were aware at the end and saw something between the 3 of them.
In a small way by Angel seen that pic that Muguel was carrying at the funeral was sort of an acknowledgement.

The one ending that should've been shown was that one, knowing they were brothers at least. Or very very least have Emily discover the letters. If they had let Sofia go, EZs newborn would've had 2 older brothers.
Yea I'm surprised they never definitively showed that they found out they were all brothers.
I’ve been saying all series that Creeper was opie for the show but the truth is Angel was. He lost everything for Santa Padre. His mom, dad, his lady, and his brother. Glad he made it out and found peace for him and maverick

Ezekiel went from making Mark Antony's speech in Julius Caesar to being stabbed to death like Caesar. Consequences are inevitable but dang Rome fell too fast!
Big respect to JD Pardo for playing Ez. Very good actor and did well with what he had to work with in the end. Proud of all the actors that work on this show. Thank you for the ride.

That last scene was insane. I was literally covering my eyes and screaming because I didn’t want Angel to have to kill his brother. It was so heartbreaking. Pretty much gave me flashbacks to when Opie died. Such a great show , wish it could of went on for more seasons !!!
Opie's death was brutal, he was not killed at the hands of a "brother".

Acting is about taking on a role. That isn't you. James Gandolfini did it the best as Tony Soprano.
I didn't like Angel when the season started but he turned it around for me around season 3. He became the only character i wanted to live and get out alive but the pain he endured was heartwrenching
Totally agree! I low-key cried at the end when he and Maverick were finally able to start their new lives lol
Angel became more like his mother. Everyone thought EZ would be more like his mother but, he turned out like his father

He was the only Character with a moral compass and while he never always followed it. He knew the club was not about brotherhood anymore.

The last 20 minutes of this season was more exciting than all the seasons combined.
So what was the point of Miguel being EZ and Angel’s brother if they were never going to learn the truth? Also found Emily to be one of the most pointless main characters ever created.

I do t think it’s the real ending . I do believe we should have seen Miguel and Reyes brothers come to terms after finding out they are blood related .
I was so disgusted to see them force angel to kill his brother, but then very happy when the feds came in and gunned them all down. Season 5 was bad but the final was amazing
We don’t know fully if the Fed’s gunned them all down. The ending could be a great beginner for a spin-off

Wish Leti would have had a better ending. Sad seeing Angel with Mayans tat blacked out. EZ sounded like Gemma when Jax was going to kill her and she is telling him it's ok.

Gives me real comfort when the actor breaks down the character to understand the situation that happens in a show, wish it was a diffrent path for ez and the mayans

The only part about the ending that I absolutely hated was sophia being killed, I thought that was completely fucked up especially after her finding a reason to live and the fact it happened right in front of the dog ☹️

When Jax's Ex runs into EZ she says this same thing, the girls pay the price for what their men do. They knew what they signed up for.
Ez didn't deserve that. Even worse the way they killed his girlfriend was so sad.
He most definitely deserved it. Weasled his way into being President. Killed Canche behind the club's back. Set up Creeper to be killed in prison. What do you mean he didn't deserve it? Angel being forced to kill him, maybe that was fucked up, but they knew what they signed up for "patch over everything".

@__aaron__9739 what about Gilly giving information to Adelita in season 1 and he held EZ as they took his life. Angel was also in that and coco. Taza killing Riz,Guero killing a president and bishop killing the other one. Remember the casino scene where Angel was trying to sell the bricks that were stolen from Galindo? Each president has done things that they should of died for. But yet EZ is the only one from SP to meet that faith. Even when the Mayans went to war with each other and Bjshop froze up EZ went outside ready to die while bishop hid inside. Alvarez had to come back to save SP from dying.
@@runaway_36 that's the reality of real MCs. I think that was my issue with SOA - they made it look too romantic. In no real outlaw MC, would they ever allow one emotional president to be making calls behind the club's back, find out, then help him clean up the messes he caused. They would have kicked him out in bad standings at the very least. Mayans MC was more realistic (way worse writing and story telling - but more realistic to real club life). Dark, savage and brutal.

LOVE this! Amazing character and actor who portrayed him. I will always remember this show, thank you for the story.
Im really happy for JD Pardo. This show has done wonders for him. Im seeing him in a lot of different projects. He was in a movie with Chris Pine, he was in one of the Fast films, he did a badass series with Chris Pratt, he was recently in a movie with Ben Affleck, and hes currently doing a film with Jake Gyllenhaal. I hope theres more to come.

I applaud the season finale. It's never easy closing out a series. You can't please each viewer but I'm at peace with their work here.
Rough ending, I wasn’t expecting that. I also wasn’t expecting for the pregnant gf to be killed too after everything she has been through for EZ. Thank you for a great season.
Holyyyyy SHIT!!!!! What a dark DARK season finale, there were some story plots that I never understood but cool
I may be in the minority but EZ was never a rat on the MC. All he did was provide info on Galindo. Everything he did he did out of loyalty to the club. He could have easily had his life back in season 1 yet decided to stay with the Mayans and showed his loyalty numerous times. The writers did EZ dirty. RIP to the true King of the Mayans who was the reason they won the war.
The code is deeply flawed but a code none the less. EZ’s desire for meaning crippled the club’s Ascension. He built it like a house of cards. If one card faltered it would all come down. He didnt care which is why he welcomed death in the end its not only what he wanted but what needed to happen so Angel could run away. The fall on the club actually falls on Ibaras son.

What a incredible ride it was, I'm sure gonna miss the series. JD Pardo and actually all actors did such an amazing job, such believable performances. Sons and Mayans are definitely done but there still could be a upcoming spin-off? .........."Grim Bastards" perhaps?

That would be nice see them coming up as a more serious biker club now with the alliance of the mayans and them feuding with soa since soa has always been a white club even tho Jax patched in one of the guys from the bastards as them trying to have new races in their club. Montez also

But ever since s4 of Sons I became more intrigued with his character and Mayans MC delivered him perfectly. It took about 4years between end of SoA to get to MMC so maybe in 4 years it might still be possible to see a spin-off either way?
Nah. The next one would be about Broken Saints.
It would be about how the all women club takes on the businesses and turf of the now exterminated SAMDINO, Santo Padre, and Galindo Cartel.
They will run things down South. And then eventually they will spread more North as their recruit numbers go up. They will clash with Mayans mother chapter in Oakland and SAMCRO. Because the North is unfamiliar territory, they make a deal with Grim Bastards to take on the Sons and Mayans up there. And since the Grim Bastards are simps, they agree to help the Broken Saints. Once they manage to kill most of SAMCRO, they use their sweet lady charm and tricks Tig into killing Chib. Once Chib is dead, he says F it he doesn't even want to be on this show anymore and leaves.
Then Tig becomes President of SAMCRO and makes one of the Broken Saint members his old lady and Vice President. They rebranded themselves as the Daughters of Monarchy, with the Broken Saint President as the Eternal Queen. Tig then kills the Grim Bastards president and installs a puppet president into the Bastards (the same guy that got patch into SoA at the end of SoA). The Grim was rebranded as Simp Bastards.
Then they focus on Mayans, since Tig is BFF with Alvarez. He manages to convince Alvarez to just sue all the Mayans for infringement and copyright (because he's the Founding father of that organization). With it, the Mayans go broke and eventually bankrupt. And every Mayans that still remains, gets absorbed into the Broken organization and rebranded as the Talocans.
Watching how the Saints fastly grew, Potter comes back and tries to take them all down. Potter hires Kody and the racist skinhead from SOA season 2 that escaped to come back and get rid of the Broken problem. The racist dude have no idea who Potter is or what he's is talking about. But since Potter graduated from Hogwarts, he's smart and has magic. That's why he survives for so long.
Realizing that he have no choice, he hangs up and said F it.
At the end, it turned out the Eternal Queen of the Broken Saints and her puppy clubs, Simp Bastards, Daughters of Monarchy, and Talocans, is none other than Emily.
After Emily killed Galindo in the last episode of Mayans, she ran off and found refuge with the Broken Saints. Because she was manipulative and annoying, she was able to work her way up and became the President, and now the Eternal Queen of Broken Saints.
Anyways, Emily didn't like Letty, and had Letty sent away back to Hector and his 18 Honda civics engine.
But Emily would eventually trick and Aveda Kedevra Potter into the abyss. That was the final end of Potter.
With Potter gone, the Broken Saints, Simp Bastards, Daughters of Monarchy, and Talocans, under the leadership of the Eternal Queen Emily and her daughter Cristaba takes all of California.
Great show very entreating Santo went out like some outlaws! special shout out to the writers the producers everybody who worked on the show and especially the actors you guys did a phenomenal job Mayans M.C. forever!
The season could've have been significantly better, but EZ's story was phenomenal.
In the last season of SOA, Jax's story was compared to Hamlet, and it was parallel to Hamlet in that regard.
In the last season of Mayans, EZ's story can be compared to Macbeth, and it is simmilar in that regard.
We all knew it was guna end bloody. Thanks for a great show!! Guna miss it !

Need to know wtf the writers thought this season the Sons vs Mayans war was weak af considering all the filler the real ending should have been Samcro pulling up at the end and shoot the clubhouse up as retaliation for happy

I read almost all the comments. I love them all. It means that this show was awesome. It made us get invested and got to be apart of it. I love this show. I was mad that it had to end but was also happy that it ended this way. On top.

That rat story line and taza killing riz bishop didn’t even kill riz and JD pardo a good dude he just had some bad writers around him way too many fillers maybe the sag strike that started player a role too and we just are seeing the strike now but yeah sad it’s gone we should have gotten 7 seasons EZ didn’t deserve to die without telling the MC he protected his own club and didn’t put anyone in prison so idk why the rat story line needed to come in we could have had 1000 different things
Let's not forget, this series was about an outlaw biker gang. The featuring of bike scenes was a rarity throughout the series. I believe the Broken Saints spent more time on their bikes the last few episodes than the Mayans did.. Even Jax Teller died on his bike.
I would say it’s more realistic
With soa they are at war and still on their bikes just riding around.
But in real life when there’s war it ain’t much of riding for those clubs that are at war.

These shows, while great for tv, are FAR from reality, it's tv, they have to be overly dramatic to keep people coming back.

It was a very good show. I loved watching every episode.
I'm glad he mentioned the life goes on aspect because I think a lot of people missed that being the point of what happened as opposed to a super dramatic, Hollywood, typical epic, explosive battle. Like Potter said, the birds will keep chirping, no matter how important we think we are. It made everything very real and as if I heard of this on the news, as opposed to a show or movie. I'm still thinking of the characters as if I knew them, now. Can't say many people are able to pull that off. I wouldn't want it to have ended any other way, now.

JD is a great actor, I have liked him since I saw him in resolution. Phenomenal, I was super shocked they shot the girlfriend, I thought they shot Sally I was super happy to see she didn't get killed
I’m really exited to see what’s next for the SOA/Mayans universe, and I really hope Kurt Sutter is apart of it. He needs to be.
Oh but there is . All the questionable unanswered questions will follow up in the next stories . It’s gonna happen .
Kurt got fired by Fox years ago. Doubt he is coming back.
And then Fox got bought out by Disney.
So it's technically Disney's fault for this shows horrible ending.

We got to see 3 really solid endings. Jax giving his life because he saw he lost his way. EZ being a rat and seeing the consequences of every action he’s made lead up to his ultimate demise. Angel choosing to live and walk away from the life for his sons sake, being the only smart man of the 3, and blacking out his ink was truly an ending worth seeing and it makes you realize that kids gonna grow up with a father who’s seen and done a whole lot of poetic shit. sole survivor of the Mayans MC besides Alvarez.

He tries to simp for Nails. But then got cucked by Angel. He went depress. Then has another chance with Nails but doesn't take it. Then he was trying to get at Kody. In that funeral scene, he creepily ask Bishop who Creepers lady is. I'm like this fool now wants to go bang her?
And Bishop, always so damn sour and emotional.
Glad both of them dies at the end with the rest of that F up charter. EZ really did bring down the whole club lol.

It's never fully explain why Angel did it. It's only assume Angel doesn't want to do heroin business and didn't like how his brother and the club has gone down that path.

I hope in the next series Potter meets a brutal ending! I’m over the white police man getting one over the outlaws when he’s as bad or even worse than the outlaws.
You can blame the weakness of women for Potter. Adelita was the only one that literally got the drop on him--and failed ot take him out. SHE is the reason Potter is still alive.
Potter got magic. He ain't dying.

I absolutely love the cast, but I wish this cast was on a better show. I actually look forward to following everyone’s careers going forward because I think the entire cast has the potential and the acting shops to be big stars. As an original fan of this universe going back to 2008 and as someone that thinks the cast is brilliant and wanted to love this show I just can’t say that I did after season one. I hung in there and I watched every episode, but it’s not the characters, it’s just the writing that I just thought it was terrible for the most part. But I am glad that I found a new group of actors that I am cheering for. I can see JD really doing big things. I want him to. I think he’s got a good 20 year run ahead of him as a leading man.
The ending really felt rushed. At least Angel got away with his kid from the madness.
Didn't like how they killed off EZ and his woman his unborn child could have went in many different directions

Episode 10 hands down redeemed the series. When they turned on EZ and Angel had to kill him was crazy! Didn't expect the Prospect to kill EZ's girlfriend either. The finale was a Masterpiece. Don't care what the critics say!

I was really bummed when I heard season 5 was the last, we as the audience gets so attached to the characters. I've enjoyed to series so thank you to all the cast and the crew.
JD Pardo's death scenes are effective. I still remember how he went out in F9. And then this happened.
I loved the show and in the beggining it was much much better
I cried like a f*cking baby at the end. I was inconsolable for hours!!
Easy went out like a champ smiling through the removal, he did more for the club than bishop or Alvarez, to me Easy was the best character.
The mayans ending was far better than the sons of anarchy ending. The unfortunate thing about this final season it was rushed. But EZ getting the Jon snow treatment was surprising
Totally agree that it felt a bit rushed by the end. If they gave us a couple more episodes to really flesh out and conclude all the different stories going on would have been great. Still, an awesome season and series.
He got the Julius Caesar treatment. It's disappointing to see so many people refer to Jon Snow instead of Julius Caesar. Especially when Bishop even says "You're not the only one who reads Shakespeare, motherfucker." before taking his turn at stabbing EZ.

The last episode was just so sad. They didn’t have to do that to EZ especially his girl???? All he did was bring them back he never snitched on them. Wtf!!! Ughhhhh I’m disappointed and sad 😔 but it was a great show. The acting was amazing I never wanted Angel to die and I am so happy that he made it out alive. He lost so much. He lost his girl his dad and his brother all in one week. Team Angel!!

Well you see EZ became a tad bit self destructive the last few seasons. Jax tried to tie up loose ends without anything happening to his club, but people around him cause more issues. EZ tied up loose ends aggressively which caused more problems and he knew this, that is why he did less smiling and was so tense during the final episodes.

Like the beating he took when he stepped up to fight the big guy all the killing. Either way it was so sad. They are AMAZING actors the way he kept telling Angel it’s ok do it go do it for your son and Angel looking at him saying no ugh I felt it. I said the same thing ez never told on nobody frfr he just made it seem like he would but kept his cousin on a string just long enough to kill em n not have to do anything for them but keep his freedom...smfh im upset. Im also upset ez couldnt keep his mouth shut for 2 secs miguel almost got to tell em. They at least gotta let angel know in a 1 shot or something damn 🤦♂️
