Everyone this season was warned by someone at some point to move on or face the inevitable. The only survivors are ones that took the advice. Kinda poetic.
It just didn't feel cohesive from start to finish. The beginning was much more entertaining. All the Cartel melowdrama was the worst aspect of it. I'm trying to watch a show called Mayan MC. Not a Day in the life of the Gullendo (doubt I spelled it right) cartel. The ending has grown on me since the first time I watched it, but it also felt like they really didn't have a game plan for how the show was supposed to go. Like they had a start point and an ending in mind but no real idea on how to get from A to B. The whole Mayan Civil War thing wasn't great. It didn't feel like a natural build up. It felt like they just woke up on the wrong side of the bed one day and chose violence. Killing off Coco was a huge mistake. Putting him through all that suffering in the season before just to end it so abruptly. And the abruptness wouldn't bother me if it wasn't for them spending a lot of time with that character. And yeah he's not a good guy. Normal people don't get ceremonial deaths. It just happens. But it felt like a waste. These are just my opinions though. And I did like the show overall. It's just the middle part that has me asking if they had any idea what they were doing. Maybe it was the transition from Sutter to the other guy ( can't think of his name but he does deserve respect) that made things seem disjointed.
They dont even let him explain or have any concrete proof he ratted on anybody. Bishop wanted to take the throne back now that EZ put in all the work to put them on top and win the war. Who really betrayed who ? Creeper was a liability for sleeping with a fed and pillowtalking.
And furthermore, the club didn’t know Creeper was sleeping with a fed. For them he is still a brother. Maybe bishop knew after Kody told him the truth but he probably just wanted to get back to the throne, so he set up this execution
In a overall disappointing finale. Angel getting out and away before this happened was actually satisfying presuming of course Santo Padre and its members are dead like they want you to believe. Can't believe they let Kody live. I get it with Potter, but she deserved it the most. She's the reason Creeper got locked up in the first place, but somehow wanted to fight for him after he was gone. Then in the final episode she lets Bishop know, knowing full well they were going to raid and kill them in the end anyways.
She fell in love with Creeper and that blinded her career objectives. Her hate was set on EZ but she killed 2 birds with 1 stone taking the club down with him.
@marvinhamilton6637-you do realize that the Mayans were pieces of shit, right? She was an undercover trying to bust guys who ran heroin and worked w drug cartels. Why would SHE deserve to die more than them?
Love how Hank always has the same facial expression. You couldn't tell if he went out for a slurpee or helped brutally stab to death their fallen President......Classic Hank....
It's crazy how the Mayans were on top for like 5 minutes and then they get hit with the RICO raids. With all the stuff Cielo witnessed, multiple charters are going to get hit. Then with Storm 88 not getting their re-up, they won't get that prison protection and end up getting killed off like Creeper. I wonder if Santo Padre let the other charters know about EZ being a rat so the other charters wouldn't be caught off guard about the hit. I really hope we get another spin-off showing a different club like the Grim Bastards or even the SOA, and that we could see the aftermath of all of this.
Wish we could've seen Chibbs or Tig one more time but besides that I think it was great on the writers part for not giving us what we wanted, which was someone finally taking out Potter.
Still cant believe after everything that happened, Potter lives. I am actually really glad they didnt kill off Marcus Alvarez. His story as a Mayan has ended. Now hes a family man like Angel now. One out good(He had his club ink) one out bad (Angels top and bottom rocker tats are blacked out.)
After rewatching the entire series after this finale, I must now say that I have to agree with Ramos and Canche: Santo Padre really was the cancer of the club that needed to be cut out. Quinn from the Sons pointed it out to Alvarez that the Mayans kill each other more than the Sons ever did. And Bishop was the definitely the most deserving of being taken out. Not just for EZ and Sofia (which was cold blooded). He was the biggest, jealous hater EZ ever had ever since Alvarez stripped Bish of his flash and gave it to EZ. He never backed him up when it counted. Earlier in the series, you could tell he could never want to live with the whole Three Kings rule. He wanted to be the only king. Not to mention that EZ took the club to heights Bish never even dreamed of. That had to sting. His life was destroyed as it was and the club was all he had left and he'd be damned if EZ take that from him too, especially knowing that EZ had Creeper killed. Bishop got the one thing he wanted since Season 4, to be atop of the Mayans mountain again. Only to have it taken away minutes later. EZ ain't totally blameless either. He did foul shit to the club in order to further his interests. He did murder two out of three kings. And EZ did have Creeper killed to protect his secret, which came out anyway. I got why Hank showed no emotion. He was just numb and disappointed from all the loss. He and Creeper were very close and he loved EZ, but the club came first. And he was just done. Bottles only got patched in because he murdered a pregnant woman (Sofia). That's just evil. But yes, I understand the point of that was under Bish's orders to kill EZ and anyone connected to him that could point the finger at the Mayans for the murder. Either way, he had to go. Nestor wanted to kill EZ from the jump under Miguel's orders, but Alvarez nullified that. Once EZ became President, it started to change as he showed Nestor kindness and treated him as a brother. You can tell he felt terrible about all of it. Guero was taken under EZ's wing upon his arrival at Santo Padre and treated as a younger brother as well. He was the most broken up about having to murder EZ. Aside from Gilly. And poor Gilly. He loved EZ and Angel both and the thought of having to murder his president for being the one responsible for Creeper's death as well as being an informant was too much for him. You can tell he didn't even want to do that, but he had to prove his loyalty to the club. The SP charter did all of this to themselves. SOA and the Feds didn't help the cause. It's almost poetic justice that Potter would survive his machinations against the club and be the one that essentially wiped out an entire charter. At the end of the day like Kurt Sutter said: none of these guys were good people. And to be fair, Potter was owed a win after the Sons outwitted that RICO scheme in Season 4
Minor disagreement: Potter wasn't owed shit. When the Sons beat RICO, Potter took one look at the deal and decided to cut himself in. Yet somehow, he ran that into the ground in the first few seasons, and him wiping out the Club was little more than him covering his ass. I'm annoyed he survived, after getting fellow agents murdered for basically nothing. Other than that, yeah. Screw Bishop, and TS anyone dumb enough to stick with him.

I agree with you about Bishop, he was the true cancer of the club, he has made many bad decisions and has always been jealous of EZ. As for Santo Padre chapter, I can't really blame them. How this whole civil war started among the Mayans? With wiping out Vatos, even when all of the other Mayan chapters and SOA wanted them to make peace. Vatos entered to the territory of Mayans and was human trafficking. Of course Mayans could not let them just happen. Later on when Vatos ambushed them on neutral ground (which was a huge disrespect for all of the Mayan and SOA members too) and after Palo was still arrogant, of course they wanted revenge, You can't have bussines with someone who tried to stab you in the back on neutral territory and that was the thing what Canche and Ramos couldn't understand, they cared about just the weapon bussines.
EZ wins at the end of the day he goes down as a legend and no one will be ale to say otherwise. He did what he was set out to do i only wish they let Sophia live.

Putting aside that this last season felt like it all went too fast due to the fact that this wasn't supposed to be the final season...man, what a sad ending. In war, the soldiers never win. After a long war where they lost many comrades near and far, where they lost their founding Presidents, their brothers, their friends, their girlfriends, their lovers, where they were betrayed to each other, when it looked like they were going to try to get back to normal, like at the beginning of the series... along came the ATF. Death and jail is the destiny of choosing that life. Both came at the same time for everyone at that table. Decisions define our destiny, no matter how simple they may seem. Rest in Peace Mayans. A great show, with its ups and downs and highs, a hell of ride.
I didn’t expect everyone to go out like that I’m shocked. Santo Padre and Samdino are now history all because of Taza, Terry, and EZ all three doomed their own club’s and it should of been Samcro/Sons at the end to finish off SP not the ATF but whatever

Ikr ? So that’s why I think that with the death of EZ, we kinda got a happy ending because Angel had the chance to escape. If Creepers girlfriend hadn’t informed Bishop about EZ, they would all still be in the club, getting all killed, even Angel.
Sitting at the table they all felt the betrayal and the shit was gonna hit the fan on their club big time.Emily,Alvarez & Angel all saw the handwriting on the wall and said enough is enough. As for Potter ,he got what he wanted .
At the end , Maverick has a red shirt like his uncle Ezekiel. Angel also covered up Mayans and California on his back tat, signifying his departure from the Mayans while keeping the logo as always being apart of him.
Even if some of them somehow managed to stay alive and were taken in, they would be dead men walking anyways. The pipeline is gone, they'd be marked the second they got into the yard. And if anyone managed to escape, no other Mayan charter would help them. So the safe assumption is that they are all dead.
Pretty satisfying to see the Chapter that started all the shit get what was coming to them in the end. Never in my life was I ever happy to see the Feds kick down their door.

Man Bishop showed his true colors. He was envious of Ez who did everything he couldn't do and was no coward. Bishop folded under pressure in the Civil War and was just a mess. Theres a reason he didn't become the one king because nobody respected him after Alvarez left. EZ was a better leader.

Don’t you have any analytical skills ? These plots showed that all of them could of left the club to have a peaceful life with their loved once’s. Instead they choose the club and met their demise
Everyone deserved it, even Hank, I don't know why I never liked him, neither did Gilli, much less Bishop's sucker, Coco was the only good one, it's a shame he got addicted, Riz was cool anyway
Anyone think this would have been a better ending if it was Samcro attacking the clubhouse instead? The show ends with a nice little shootout between the 2 main charters of both shows and there would be a long-lasting debate as to whether Samcro or Santo Padre won the battle. Instead of Potter and Kate talking at the end it's Chibs and Tig or for an alternative if u couldn't get Tommy and Kim it couldbe Quinn on the phone with Chibs informing him that Happy is being avenged or something. I personally think that would have been a better ending.
True but I think the message from both shows were trynna say is these outlaw bikers gangs are full of shit in which they are. I have to wonder how the Mayans thought things would go without EZ, even without the ATF raid. If EZ dies, or disappears right after forming their alliances and agreements, the gangs wouldn't trust Mayans an inch. I mean, even criminal gangs need some continuity of leadership. Who would want to work with an unreliable partner like the Mayans? It's not like the Mayans can justify EZ's death to others as being a snitch, after all. The first thing other gangs would ask is 'If he's a snitch, doesn't that mean he gave them information on you?' So either they say nothing, or it looks like they can't protect their own damn prez.
The thing is tho is that Ez never followed through on his deal with the feds instead blackmailed potter to make him fuck off. Should’ve been Samcro instead. Huge missed opportunity. What was the point of even bringing Tig back last season With that whole conversation he had with Marcus it would’ve came into play right here.
Had to be law enforcement. The Mayans committed too many atrocities in broad daylight. In Sons, it was all about the cat and mouse game between Stahl/the ATF and SoA. Mayans' counterpoint to that is the notion that the feds don't show themselves until they know their case is bulletproof. Lucky from the Grim Bastards even said as much to EZ. The problem with SAMCRO sitting out the war is that they basically hung SAMDINO out to dry in a way that isn't really consistent with how SoA is portrayed in Sons. In the real world, that probably goes back to Tommy Flanigan refusing to be involved with the show after his appearance in season 2, but I think the intention within the story is that SAMDINO went rogue by installing Isaac as their new Pres and SAMCRO wanted no part of Isaac's actions.
@@Destined4Greatness.it would have been really fitting and satisfying to see SAMCRO lead by Tig with Quinn all creeping up with hoods on.. Silent weapons… And it ending that way with it fading out and nothing but guns going off And angel some how killing potter They really rushed this ending

SoA was the better show, but Mayans had the better ending. With The Mayans now basically instinct and wiped out, i don't know what other stories there is to tell in the Sons Universe. If they were to continue doing another show in this universe I'd want it to be about a new club we've never seen before or a spin off limited series about Angel.

Each member of this charter was literally given second chances after second chances. Instead of accountability they chose condemnation.
Exactly they were all given an out and chose not to take it.
This show deserved so much better than it got
What do you mean?
It was bad writing after sutter left
They dont even let him explain or have any concrete proof he ratted on anybody. Bishop wanted to take the throne back now that EZ put in all the work to put them on top and win the war. Who really betrayed who ? Creeper was a liability for sleeping with a fed and pillowtalking.
All facts.
Bishop also let TAZA go namad after knowing about Riz! That should have gone to the table.
Once a deal is made for information and you take it , regardless if information is given, you are considered a rat in that life.
@marvinhamilton6637-you don’t have to be out bad to black out your ink.

It's not like the Mayans can justify EZ's death to others as being a snitch, after all. The first thing other gangs would ask is 'If he's a snitch, doesn't that mean he gave them information on you?'

And no pipeline so no one has power, money or leverage
@@nutricartel all of it was for nothing😤
@@JB98199 yea the cancer spread throughout the club
@@nutricartel sucks. Season 5 had so much potential and it grossly underperformed
They must have patched in Bottles. Prospects cant sit at the table. It makes sense if hes at the table hes fully patched.
Well done
R.I.P Santo Padre Chapter
SANTO PADRE was always meant to be wiped out. If not by the ATF, they’d be wiped out by SAMCRO or Cole and his mercenaries
Sorry mofo's got wat they deserved
Yeah once they killed EZ I was hoping they would get wiped out, thank goodness the didn’t get away.
Hell of a patch party.....
Ik everybody hates Bishop and stuff but I mean this is still the club we joined the ride for 5 seasons with. I wish they showed the shootout. Maybe Bottles was still on watch and let they guys know. Then they have this massive shootout and Santo Padre takes out like 15-20 guys before dying. Maybe Bishop or Gilly kills Potter. Unless of course they’re doing a spin-off which means Potter has to live. In which case by all means, proceed.
Also, damn look how small the Santo Padre table is? I mean what was the plan? Hank is Sgt and Gilly is VP or the other way around. Guero is Secretary, then maybe Nestor is the Road Captain? But if their rules is anything like Sons him and bottles gotta wait a whole year to hold office lol
"You mayans kill eachother more than we kill you."
Damn that's true, Santo Padre really was a cancer to the Mayan Nation in a sence.
Mayans in the SOA days seemed like a united front
Quinn made hella sense
Diaz was right after all. SP was a weed and now that they're gone the rest of the Mayans can recover.
@@kyleroberts3814 idk about recover, they gotta lick their wounds for awhile, they got hit with a federal indictment, that's no joke.
I predicted Bishop would be President again I just didn't know it was gonna be for 2 seconds
shortest reign ever!
It's what he deserved
Hey put some respect on the only 2x president these 2 shows ever had (ignore alvarez thats not fair)
Honestly none of these are good guys I get that. But at what point do any of them look around and say “You know what?? All this shit for a piece of leather ain’t worth it. There ain’t no true brotherhood here. I’m out”
I can't believe they let Bishop become president again.
Who else do you expect? He’s vice prez so it would only make sense for him to take the spot in line.
@@NeonKue Hank
This ending wouldve been way cooler with kurt sutter, i can just imagine a slow mo of the crew getting riddled with bullets and also i dont think sutter wouldve allowed potter to get away i was BEGGING for him to get his commuppance like agent stahl from SOA but for both potter and fucking taza who caused EVERYTHING to get away with it in the end is just unfair and i dont think sutter wouldve given us such a short ending like that
Should’ve been Samcro instead. Huge missed opportunity. What was the point of even bringing Tig back last season With that whole conversation he had with Marcus it would’ve came into play right here.
So how could they have made that happen? Both Tommy Flanagan & Kim Coates said they wouldn’t come back? Should the show have recast them?
It’s a Mayan show. That shit was never going to happen and anyone who thought/hoped it did was delusional
It should've been either SAMCRO or Cole's team, he did say if they couldn't deliver what the cartel could they would kill them
Had to be law enforcement.
Samcro consist of old dudes if they tried that shxt those old motherfuckers would’ve been put in the ground sooner than they expected
Once the bond breaks , the history don’t matter
Back to business.
The show ends with the ATF and potter winning.
Good cause Ez didn’t Deserve that shit
Killed Gaby, Killed Canche, Blew up the Yuma chapters club house with Canche’s kid inside, got Creeper killed. He definitely deserved that and more.
@@Destined4Greatness. if that’s the case then everyone got what they deserved
@@jeffcordova9633 The entire Santo Padre charter deserved to go out, I just wish it was SAMCRO that did it instead of ATF
@@Destined4Greatness.it would have been really fitting and satisfying to see SAMCRO lead by Tig with Quinn all creeping up with hoods on..
Silent weapons…
And it ending that way with it fading out and nothing but guns going off
And angel some how killing potter
They really rushed this ending
If Bishop had made it work with that one woman he cheated on, he probably wouldve lived
If Hank had been there more taking care of his mom than the club, he probably wouldve lived
If Gilly wouldve chose his son over the club, he probably wouldve lived
If Guerro never went to SP to avenge his dad, he probably wouldve lived
If Nestor stayed loyal to Alvarez and left with him, he probably wouldve lived
If Bottles never became a prospect, he wouldve lived
They all got what they deserved
@@dale444ify I'm just glad Angel and Alvarez survived for their new sons...wish Felipe had lived too
Would of, could of, should of
If Downer had simply said "Cielo, I'm not going to kill you, I want to help you escape." first instead of last, he would have lived. Everyone had a chance to take off their coldblooded armor and show their heart when it mattered. All refused. All paid the price.
I wonder after this ending if they went out fighting or were just brutally killed I mean Katie said she wanted EZ dead and potter can cover it up but by coincidence Bishop takes this hits but man Katie really destroyed everything
"What happens at the end of the day?"
"The bad guys lose."
And more bad guys born everyday it’s a pandemic that never ends!!!
Very disappointed how the final season was written and ended. I stick up for the Mayans as much as possible, being a Mexican American who served I really like this show, even if the are so many SOA fans talking trash. I feel like once coco died the show went down hill. Still will rewatch the first couple of seasons tho.
Yea most of us don't care about race we care about quality product.
I just finished it and the first 2 seasons are the best I noticed a down hill around the middle of season 3... season 4 feels like a blur
Last season really feels rushed but it is what it is... SOA is definitely better
I will say they all died in the templo shoot out with the ATF
SoA was the better show, but Mayans had the better ending. With The Mayans now basically instinct and wiped out, i don't know what other stories there is to tell in the Sons Universe.
If they were to continue doing another show in this universe I'd want it to be about a new club we've never seen before or a spin off limited series about Angel.
Angel lost everyone already tho !! And the crazy part he would never know that Miguel was his brother..
I’m pretty sure this scene was a hit from SAMCRO. I mean they’re already very familiar with potter and after they killed Happy, I’m sure chibs has a big role in this scene.
You can definitely see the pain they are all in because of what they had to do to EZ
EZ may have been a rat but he was always loyal to the club and everyone saw it including the time he was going to sacrifice himself to Canche
@@milandavis4825yeah that’s the tragedy behind it he did what he did to better things for his family but through that he found a new family in the club this dude took them to the top and it all just fell after he died makes you wonder what would have happened at that moment if EZ was alive and the feds got there
@milandavis4825 he just wasn't loyal to creeper. The brother he set up to be murdered in prison
@@Bassmaster-xd2pn if Creeper exposed him early on, they wouldn’t be at the top after destroying SOA San Bernardino
@milandavis4825 I don't really think they made it to the top. Did you watch the episode?
Crazy ending Ez finally became the 1 king and everyone killed him for being a rat like he was still working with the Feds (Didn't help that after everything that the Feds bust down the door) and breaking the rules while no one ever went to prison because of Ez and Ez was the one who won the war against the Sons cleaned up after all the Mayan brothers who broke the rules, Taza and Coco's mistakes on top of that he got them the California bottom rocker and put the Mayans on top. I think Ez had the death of a King betrayed by his own people and then they killed his queen and then the bloody crown on the bitter old man and it made it seem like he did it just for the throne and then the law came raining down and killed them all cause it was even said there well not be no arrest only funerals
