The "sticking to favorite fashion decade" is an especially dangerous one and can happen at any age in my opinion. You're posting so many videos, I had no idea you would be so active when I subscribed. I can only enjoy
Bonjour Alice, thank you for the video, I really enjoyed it. I would love for you to Produce a more in depth video on French hairstyles For all ages merci💕 maybe??
I know this video is one year old, but it's timeless, just like your advice. You are so cool Alice...much appreciation for you . I'm a very young 61 yrs, have lived all around the world with much global/cultural influence in my style, and thanks to you refreshed 90% of my wardrobe this autumn. The compliments by strangers are constant lately. Merci Beaucoup Alice 🌹
Can’t agree more! I think I went through making each one of that mistakes and finally learned to do it right, but it took a while 🤣 I wish I watched this video 20 years ago!
Thank you, Alice! Another nice and informative video! Although not related to this subject, I’ve loved the perfume videos you have on your channel and would love to see how you display your perfume collection. Love seeing a young lady with class and knowledge!
I love your hair. ❤ The color that looks a tiny bit ombré. The long blunt. It is exactly what I want. It is amazing. And your makeup always look happy. Some people’s makeup look sad. I need to find a way to make my makeup look happy. I am super dark skin, so I have no idea how to make my makeup look happy. It upgrades everything. Nothing looks crass with that haircut and smooth happy makeup.
Thank you Michelle this is my naturel hair color kind of noisette with some warm tone. Brunette. Will make a video about how to look more expensive and polished. I l believe some make up colors suit better darker skin tone. Also look up or for your undertone (neutral, warm or cool) More fashion is coming...
@@AliceinparisofficialI love your hair color. It’s not just one stiff block of one color and tone. Makes it sexy. It’s a little lighter towards the middle end. I would probably have to get mine just slightly ombré or very minimum highlights to look like that. I would show your photo to the hair dresser. A long blunt like yours. It’s classy/sexy. Not too short. I am very dark with cool undertones. Very confusing because it’s not covered much in makeup. If I ever would come to Paris, I would love to have a live consultation with you: I put this on my dream list.
Alice - Great video! I enjoy the content of your videos, and your advice for women over 40 - 50 is precious. How can I avoid unfitted blouses or boxy outfits if I am not slim? My weight is not ideal, and I have volume around my waist, so fitted outfits make me look fat. What do you suggest? I don't wear dresses that much. Thank you!
Something straight slightly loose but not oversized. A fluid straight blouse, a long flare large pant with straight blouse or shirt. loose but not oversized
Every time I watch you videos, I am amazed at your skin. It is perfection! I would love to know what products you use on your face. Maybe a video? Merci!
Love this! I love your honesty!! Would love to see a video on classy summer outfits for a hot summer (in Australia here). It gets so hot, jeans are not an option, and short shorts in your mid 30s not as classy 😂
No tunics/long shirts and no capri pants! I see so many women my age wearing these and they’re so aging and frumpy. I’ve never been a fan of cardigans, either, but I do like cropped ones much better.
I agree, I’m 68 years old and I live in a warm desert area and I see women my age with the Capri pants in the tunics. I have never worn that look I think it’s ugly.
I'm 75 years old and have never cared for capris, tunic tops or cardigans either that of which I think I can count only on one hand when I have worn them as made me feel 'frumpy', whereas I have used a long shirt as an open overlay. (FTR I am 5' 5½" and have a slender frame.)
Great video...definitely video your closet declutter 😊 OBTW Fragrancenet USA is having a clearance sale on all Chopard fragrances. I'm considering blind buying Felicia Roses...have you smelled that? Be very safe Miss Alice.
This is great, Alice. I agree with all 10. I never wear anything oversized or shapeless. I keep my weight in check and I have a waist, so I like to show that by wearing things that are fitted. I do like fit and flare dresses, but I am best in a bodycon or column dress, a pencil skirt, fitted trousers, etc. The tip about capri pants is brilliant. I have never looked good in them, and you showed that wearing cropped at the ankle pants is far more flattering. As for hair styles, I know women who wear what they wore in secondary school for the rest of their lives -- so aging. And so is gray hair on women over 40, it just is. Thank you!
Parisian wear cropped. In fact I never saw a Parisian wearing capri pant... remind me of my "nounou" when I was a child.... capri pant with wedge mule and a pixie volume hair cut. She was cute though but looked way more older than her real age!
Disagree 100% about clearing out your wardrobe each season - that is environmentally and socially damaging. Buy good quality clothes that will last for decades - and if they need altering as your body shape changes, then take them to a tailor. In the 80's I got a linen single breasted jacket from a charity shop, which I wore with a beige and white linen waistcoat and skirt - and if I wore that combination today it would look so 1980s. So i wear the waistcoat with a cream silk shirt and brown tailored trousers - and if cold I put on the blazer - and it looks fresh. It's how you style your clothes that can make them look fresh.
You make me laugh w/ your honesty, love it!! I am a child of the 70s, so I am probably closer to your parents' age than yours, but take pride in my individual sense of style. Having lived through the '70s, I have a love/hate relationship w/ Sezane. I often find their designs nothing but a cheap imitation (not talking about their prices) of the actual '70s. Many of their designs and prints make younger people look so much older and are beyond granny (i.e. woven shoes); hence, I am really careful what I order from them. Great video ❤🙏.
I save my shapeless, linen-knit dresses and Birkies for hot summer days at home. I’m often alone during the day, so I only care about comfort, but for going out, or when people come over, I want to show my shape and wear a bit of a heel. At least the blue and white print dress you showed as worn with a belt, it’s better than nothing.
You did us dirty with the Seattle Seahawks shirt. Seahawks is like religion for us Washingtonians and specially if you live in Seattle. No one cares about the fit of the shirt, it’s the team spirit that matters.
What??? Not ALL women. Ciara definitely always looked crisp and pretty in her Seahawks gear. Lots of Seahawk women look like well-groomed cheerleaders in their Seahawks paraphernalia. Remember: The spiffy women fans matter, too.
LOL. I'm a former ICU nurse with a bad back....shoes are an issue. I love my Birkenstock Madrid big buckle slides. Love you videos and suggestions.

Definitely agree! Especially about the cardigans; they’re super tricky so I tend to go for blazers way more than a cardi🩷
These are all great tips and ones I strive to abide by. Cardigans are tricky, that's a tough one to get right! Thanks Alice!

Do you have a video on how to tie a silky scarf like you are wearing it?
No, need to make one
I would love that video!

You say to buy classics so why do you need to purge your closet so often? Classics should stand the test of time.

Hello Alice, please make a video on accesorizing! Thank you
Lol, I'm from Washington State and when I saw the Seattle Seahawks t-shirt, I had to laugh. I mean really, it's ok to look frumpy for the Seahawks!!
Stunning Ciara tucked her T shirt, and her hair and makeup were stunning when she was at the game for ❤Russell.

Cardigan from Rouje are great because they are kind of cropped.

Hi Alice some of those colors are still too much too colorful for us older ladies.
The Capri pant..ugh. The most unflattering style ever and hideous on anyone 😂
Working in a conservative office, no jeans allowed, is difficult to not look a little serious and sometimes grrr dated.

Hi Alice. Those ladies with makeup looked a bit scary get a different older model seriously
This could be useful if it was more relatable.
This is just styling advice for slim people.
