I bought my father's best friend, who was our dentist, a 1979 Cartier MV. I kept that car until I moved from NY to CA. These cars are amazingly built and beautiful . I love the Givenchy blue. This car is perfect. WOW.
Normally, I am no fan of gray cars since that [and white] are basically the only color options today, but on this Mark V it looks spectacular and keeps its looks up to date for today. Also, the Givenchy roof treatment looks very cool.
The Givenchys in 79 all had "Crystal Blue Moondust Metallic" paint. It can look gray but in the sun it's a beautiful blue. I own one of these and get compliments on the color almost every time I take it out!
Shoot. Wish that you would have put it up for auction, I would of liked to have a shot at it. If he ever wants to sell let me know. Hard to find a Givenchy with a sunroof and that low of miles!
Hello! My website is Compcarsmb.com however I only market the classics through UA-cam and sell them on Bring a Trailer auction website. You are always welcome to call for updates as well!! Thanks! Bill 843 294 7777
Hello Bill did this Mark v come out of NY.?? I believe this is the car I made an offer on. When did it go to auction? Bill my friend Givency since it is Italian we pronounce e's as i's when you pronounce the name I said wait sounds like Mozzarella we pronounce it moozarella it sounds butcherd LOL . I am not correcting you just giving you a little tip😬
Lol! I got it out of Florida but it certainly could have come from up North! And it didn't quite make it to auction, I had a good customer make a quick deal before hand. Sorry you missed it. And I get the Italian slang!! Haha
Nice car. Give your detailer a raise because the pride in work is obvious.
He does a great job for sure! I certainly take care of him!
Agree!

I would agree, but the video does not do the car justice! It has more blue and lavender I'd say! Thanks!!
@@CHANNEL__9 Yes, and don't you see a hint of lavender??
Actually, this car is purple. A light lavender high gloss metallic
@@CHANNEL__9 Actually, the car looks purple. Ford just couldn’t call it purple, but it was.
Simply a work of art belonging to a museum.
Yes! It is going to a collector in Vegas who I KNOW will absolutely take amazing care of this!!
I owned one of these and the color is Amethyst. I owned 5 Mark series cars total and I miss them dearly.
Nice, I appreciate that info!
That color! So elegant. May have to pick this one over the Bill Blass...
Funny thing, the client that bought this also went ahead and bought my Bill Blass!! Lol!
You should see the 1979 Emilio Pucci Mark V…Stunning!
@@steves.7099 I want to buy one of those!!
I never saw a vinyl roof in that configuration…beautiful car!
On the Givenchy, they had that reverse vinyl roof!
Very nice and rare example of a vinyl less rear roof
Thank you!
AMAZING 👏
Thanks!
Stunning vehicle
Thank you!!
These automobiles are total time capsules. I just LOVE seeing older vehicles like this. They just don't make them, like this anymore... 👍👍👍
Thanks!
I'd put on my Mink coat to drive this one .... SWEET !
Heck yeah! Through a little Givenchy Cologne on!!
I would buy this car in a heartbeat very sharp in color and detail my kinda car it has class..
And the condition is unreal!

Just like new. Happy and lucky buyer your friend...! 🙂
LOVE finding stuff like this!
absolutely beautiful
Thanks!
This is a great color combination for this car.
Pretty rare too!!
Very lovely ❤️ Mark 5 The 1 thing that I would love to have would be having the double padded seats I guess it’s called pillow seats?😊
Yes, you mostly saw those in the GM cars, but some Lincoln's too!
Out of the Mark 3, 4 or 5, I can never decide which body I like best.
I personally think the 5 is the best one.
Nice
Thank you!

Sure thing!! Sorry you missed it!
Nice car
Thanks!
You couldn't get the 460 any more in 1979, right?
Correct, just the 400 V8!
Is this going to that expensive auction or is it for sale?
Sorry but this one I sold privately to a good customer of mine!
What is your website? Would love to take a look

Gotta love a car with big enough doors to drive a VW rabbit through. And that's with the front seats up! LMSFAO!
HAHA! Big is an understatement!!
