Hello Cristian !! That painting shines so much, that you see yourself reflected in it! 😳😀...
We spent some time paint correcting it! Thanks!
Wow that was like showing an imperial cruiser fly by. Looong.
It's a big car!
@@christianbugatticg I could hear the "imperial march" as you walked the length of that car.
@@user-yc2oz8kc5k lol
Beautiful...:)
Thanks!
The condition is incredible, and I am completely sure that that car was not used on rainy days ⛈️
Yes, no sign of road use in the rain
Wow!
Thanks!
I once had a 1994 Escort station wagon. It never stranded me and the only things I did besides brakes, tires, and a battery in 100,000 miles was a transmission line coming out of the radiator due to a pinhole leak. Sold it to a young lady with 206K and she drove it at least another six years.
Oh very nice! This one is going to a Ford dealer who is also a collector.
That emblem is actually from a Mark VII Bill Blass dash.
Ahhhh ok! It actually would make a nice lapel pin! lol
Parents but a tan 1980 Volare. Must’ve been the first year for the square headlights
Oh nice!!
The person that owned it truly loved it. He could've donated it years ago or sold it cheap to it end up in a derby. Instead it looks like he ziploc - bagged it and it is in excellent condition. Not appreciated in its day, this is a true rarity today. A great buy for a true Chrysler collector.
Yes, I agree with that! Thanks!
I always liked the curvier Mk IV over the sharper cut MK V.
Thanks! Yes, everyone has their preferences. I think the Mark V's actually tend to bring more money.
I wanted that car so bad but my parents decided that I needed a four door so I ended up getting a Lincoln Versailles! Big mistake lol I wound up getting spoiled rotten 😂 It’s still a beautiful car to me after all this time but it wasn’t a Thunderbird ❤👍😁
Oh man, I would actually love to come across a very low mile Versailles! They are valuable too!
Bill. We lost the Dr on Thursday. Septic.
NO WAY?? So sorry to hear that. Please send info so I can send flowers. Thanks for letting me know.
I believe his wife will being reaching out. He had a check. I would imagine she'll buy it if still available. There's nothing else for the principal.@@christianbugatticg
I had that exact car brand new in 1978. It was a lemon, The carburetor was bad and the dealer couldn't find a new one, had to put in another type of carburetor that never worked well, and then the transmission went out, same story they couldn't get the parts. I did however enjoy driving it.
Well I suppose you can get a bad anything from time to time
Never would have believed that an Escort would be saved as a collector car. I can't even remember the last one I saw
Lucky find I suppose
I had a 1993 ford escort wagon as my first car almost a decade ago. Same color as this one too! Despite the age of the car it was a beast! I grew up with my parents driving a 1993 escort as well! Except they had the 2 door hatchback. They bought it used in 1995. They were great! Unfortunately with my parents escort. My dad hit a deer on the highway on his way to work and totaled it in 2014. He had to junk it. My escort wagon. Bought it dirt cheap in 2015. Got into an accident with it in winter of 2017. Still drove it for a few months after my dad jury rigged it and sold it for parts. Man I miss those cars! Very reliable! If I had the money and the room for it l’d buy that escort in a heartbeat!
Oh wow, thanks for sharing the story
@@christianbugatticg thank you for posting this video and sharing it with us! What a gem!
Beautiful Bill just beautiful, y'all really have it looking right!
Thanks! I think it turned out nice!
Bill, This is another great example of you showing us classic automobiles that are time capsules. It is gorgeous! I long to go back to an era when cars were cars. Back then, we could identify the brand by its appearance. Well done!
Thank you so much!
Thanks for the trip down memory lane. My dad had this car when I was in grade school. It was a tank.
No problem! More cool stuff to come!
Windshield washer system doesn't work?
Yes it works, did you see me turn them on?
@@christianbugatticgYes, I saw the wipers working but not the windshield washer.
@@aleksinfroid4644 Oh, why spot up the windshield??
Beautiful 😮
Thank you!
I had a 1974 Continental 490 c.i. a dream to drive fast and comfy.
YES!!
So ahead of its time killer car! Lucky owner
I do agree!
That is a real nice Newport, brings back memories of the 75 I owned, obviouosly this one is in much better condition than mine. Big car that drove quite well for its size, unique with the center glovebox. Those things were tanks and could fit 6 big dudes easily !
Thanks!!!
She looks even better out in the sun! Thanks for the ride 😁👍 ❤
Thanks! The paint is popping!
Yes cars are evolving in to garbage, the new BMW line up is appalling.
I agree to some extent. We do sell BMW's to our local clientele because used ones are A LOT of car for the money!
Nice run in the 1975 Chrysler Newport.
Why thank you !
I wonder what axle ratio is in the back? I bet like a 2.73. Which is not great for takeoff, but would keep the rpms down around 16 or 1700 rpm at like 65 with what I assume is a 727 torqueflite. Back in 75 gas mileage was a major consideration with these heavy cars. Using highway gears and small - primary 4 barell carbs and new ideas like egr valves ,etc in " theory" helped keep these big cars on the road. The introduction of the catylytic converter/mandatory in 75 in all passenger cars - minus heavy duty police / heavy duty trucks was marketed as an efficiency pollution item. I know that is not true, when thise primitive technology cats were introduced they were not designed with the fact that most people were still using some leading fuel. It was a disaster. Actually a properly tuned car would be more efficient than all that nonsense they threw on these engines. Sometimes, but not all of course the emmision systems would malfunction and then nobody was really smart enough/ educated enough to deal with the weirdness of each system. It was a a good idea in theory, but misunderstood by the public. I'm sorry to rant about this, but my mom got into a car accident as I was a little kid in 85 over a clogged catylytic converter.
Well seems as if you know your stuff!!! Not sure about the rear diff in this one
@@christianbugatticg I know a little. Lol
@@bighank796 You do indeed!
❤beautiful
Thanks!
I wonder bill what a car like this would bring in estimated value? I am going to guess mid to upper 20s? That is just a guess. I would not be suprised if it hit over 30 k though considering its condition and mileage in todays market even though it is not necessarily a " popular " model. If it was say like a 68 or 70 model would probably add about 4 to 6 k in my estimate. It is the quintessential- " find another one " like it kind of car. The 440 would add a small amount of value i guess, say like 2 g
You know I am thinking it "could" do $22500 but you know me, I am bringing it to sell!
Yeah, I mean how many examples of that model are in better shape than this one? Not many I bet. This is the kind of car you can cruise with the family in comfort and turn heads, even attend local car shows. It's not a muscle car persay, but something different that I would absolutely check out at a show. It runs excellent. The 400 chrysler is a good motor for this car. No. It's not a 440, in which I assume was available, but it is not really necessary either. Awesome car. Did they make a 2 door version? Either way the 4 door version is ok with me. Actually being that big, a 4 door body probably is more appealing to most people
Thanks! Not 100% sure about a 2 door but this one works!
Your attention to detail is a credit to you Bill. Most dealers give the car a wash and that is it, if you want it brought up to this standard you have to pay a detailer. Hope it does well for you in the auction.
Oh yeah, I can't stand to see dirt, grime or corrosion! Drives me nuts!
I would have much rather it be a Crown Vic. Well it is low mile car. Best of Luck to the new owner.
Thanks!
Wow! Every aspect of this Newport is fantastic. You guys are awesome!
I tried to make it as nice as we possibly could!
1:23 The highlight of any old Chrysler video! Glovebox in the middle of the dash - that's an interesting feature.
It makes sense!
Im so glad you got the Car!!!! I can tell you more about it that you will love. It truly is a beauty and Avandra was a very amazing lady. She had many great cars.
Oh nice!! Hopefully you can see the difference we made on the engine bay, undercarriage and actually the paint too!!
It sure is a beauty with the lighter blue vinyl top over the darker blue paint, as well as the blue interior. As I mentioned previously, the car looks great without the fender skirts. The wheels are great, and the center glove box is as well. Bill, I am curious what the small white car, with the Rolls-Royce type of radiator shell/grille, is. I assume it is a British car. Thanks!
Thanks! Soooo the little s**t box car, as it was nicknamed when it came in!! Lol! It is a right. hand drive Mazda with a Rolls Royce "looking" front end. I bought it for fun!
@@christianbugatticg Haha! I would never have guessed it was a Mazda. I'm sure it's a great conversation piece at Competition Cars 😂
@@citibear57 It is! Lol lol!! It is technically called a Marphy!!!
Having had a number of Escort estates over the years as company cars they are a good reliable workhorse, which despite the large numbers made very few have survived and certainly not at this milage or condition. If you don't have room for an 1970's land yacht, buy this one.
That's true, doesn't take up much real estate!
A nice car for someone that can't reach the prices that Lincolns go for but wants a piece of 70's americana that they can drive and enjoy. Good luck to the winning bidder.
This is why I bought it!
Do quick driving video of 1979 Lincoln Mark V.
I am sure Bill will do one, i am also a Mk V fan.
I will be she is covered up for the weekend!
Mourning , wow. Fla Ted
Hey there Ted from Fla!
This Bill Blass edition is in my opinion one of the best looks. So splashy, tasteful it epitome of the 70s opulence
Yes indeed and thanks!
Now that's always my sweet spot. I love those full size Oldsmobiles. I had quite a few 98 & 88s over the years. Never had a complaint. You can't go wrong with an Oldsmobile! Thanks Bill!
Thank you!!
The quality of the leather and carpets are not available in cars made today.
Now that is true!
Sadly, they didn’t duplicate the unique pinstripe the Blass model was known for
Ahhhh I do believe there is a guy out West that can recreate these
Oh. My. God. That is too beautiful.
Thanks! It will be up for auction very soon!
I can't get over how stunning the car looks. That two-tone theme is out of this world. A real head-turner, unmatched by anything on the roads today.
That is why these are so desirable!
@@christianbugatticg I know! I've always wanted one.
90% came with the convertible look top
That is probably about right
I owned the exact same car........ ..in 1987 ...as a 27 year old in the BRONX...I was told only 5000 were built...only 200 with white leather interior...the Bill Blass was a $2700. Dollar option...beautiful American luxury automobile.
Nice! I do know the white leather is more rare!
Absolutely beautiful ! BILL amazing Mark !
This is as close as You can get to new 99.9 perfect I love the white seats with the blue strip and 10 , 000 miles I wish I owned this one seriously brother!!
You are correct!!!
