When forwarding your ports - set them for TCP & UDP. Thats what I had to do to get my server to show - it showed up immediately after doing this. Very simple.
It's easy to miss in the video, but make sure to PORT FORWARD on your ROUTER & Windows Firewall! I was stuck for an hour trying to figure out what I missed, then I did just that, and it worked just fine, and came up immediately! 🔥
@@martinwaes4093 There's no port forwarding on firewall. You can add exceptions for your firewall. Port forwarding is done through your router and ISP.
Thanks, everything worked and I can join on the server. But my friends and I have been playing for 7 hours now and want to "load" the map we played on onto the server, how do I do that? I have already transferred the savegames from my file to the sever. However, when I join it is a new map.
So when you buy enshrouded it actually comes with a dedicated server toolkit that will be in your library. You can install and use that instead. After port forwarding in my router and setting up the inbound and outbound ports in windows firewall it showed up in the server list in game. Hope this helps someone
I’m able to see my server, but my friends are not. They’ve searched in game and via the Steam Game Server page. My router and firewall should all be set up too, so i’m not sure why they cant see it.
Great guide and got it up quickly. I followed everything to a T and this is not my first hosted server. It boots, everything in the log looks the same as yours. Edited my .json file for my server name, pass, etc. Lauch .exe games loads says its on the server then CMD closed no error or warning. Tried 2 different installed, everything is ported in windows and my firewall. Same issue. Running Windows Server 2019
it doesnt work for me no matter what i try. video method crashes, i tried doing one through Dockerhub, crashes at the same spot. I tried WindowsGSM with a plugin and it also just closes at the same spot@@iDxReArmored
Is there a way to only host the enshrouded dedicated server internally? Cause, sadly I don't have access to a public IPv4 address. My ISP puts me behind a CGNAT
Any clue on what it means when you try to join your dedicated server and it says 'game creation failed' and quits out. Are the services just overwhelmed? Update Fix: I changed the password and could then join. Not sure why that worked.
Why didnt you just make a bat file to run the steamcmd and the app install all at once and then also you can just run the bat when ever you need to update never have to retype anything again.
@@MatureMindedgamers doesnt work, when i run the .exe it does all your video describes but goes back to the install folder prompt (doesnt just sit at finished)

I'm really glad their setup is straight-forward. Thank you so much for putting the tutorial together.

how do u port forward on windows firewall?
@@martinwaes4093I Googled exactly that, and it came up with a walkthrough video. 👌

Hey, so.. How do we "manage" our server? like server settings.. like diffucluty and stuff??
You forgot the default server password, and adding VAC_Secure. The IP address is the internal IP of the server itself.
Thanks, everything worked and I can join on the server.

I'm curious about this as well , if it's possible
@maturemindedgamers Also looking for info on this!!! hope someone can help
this is a comment to feed the youtube overlords

Did you find a fix? I have the same issue
@@DuckyUmbra Yes, mine was a port forwarding issue. I had input the range incorrectly.

yep same as me. on Windows Server 2019 as well

yeah nothing works for me, i tried doing it through 3 different applications but none work. they all crash at the same spot

If you don't open the ports, then externally, no one can see/connect. I do not think there is a setting to make it LAN only.
how long did it take u to find your server in the filter?
Honestly, it's not long for me, others it seems to take awhile from what I read.

is there a reason we get ping spikes when my friend hosts servers?
It's probably either yours or his internet connection
Can you please answer this question - is the server online 24/7 for friends to join, even though my pc is not turned on?
The pc hosting the server has be online and running the server application for the enshrouded server to be up.
Did you just open 15636 and 15637 on your Firewall and PC? Anything else? I have done all of that and I can't see my server still :/
Well for this video yes, but I have 27015 open as well from other servers I host.
i am having the same exact issue. and is the port opening for 27015 tcp or udp?

I try to keep these videos simple. There is less room for problems for others.
How do you shutdown/restart a server that is running?
Covered in the video. Click the window and Cntrl+c.
