This helped out! I’m hoping to teach some Pilates classes over the summer for some added income. I have a couple of questions. 1. Do I still need to have some type of insurance while teaching virtually or have people sign a waiver like we do in the studio? I’m thinking of only doing mat Pilates that will utilize props and small weights from time to time. 2. If I’m doing this just in the summer, could I still get away with only doing it once a week but still have a decent turnout for the class? 3. If I don’t have space in my apartment, where else could I teach? I’m wondering about the park that we have nearby. Any help would be much appreciated! Thank you for your knowledge!
Yes I would still get fitness insurance even if you're teaching virtually & people should sign a waiver when they sign up for your class - a lot of platforms include that in automated email when people register for a class. Once a week is fine, it really depends more on what your current audience is and who you think will come to those classes - if you start marketing them now, or you have people you're currently working with, get their input on class time and day so that you can have a good turn out if you're teaching a class online you need wifi!! and a strong wifi connection too, so I wouldn't do it outside!
Thank you so much for sharing this. Sincerely.
