Reason why the radioman is better than stationary radios:
He’s not stationary
He can say funny things
unless he's afk eating ramen noodles
Fun fact: there’s a radio in the back of the loach helicopter
For maximum efficiency as radioman place yourself in an empty squad near the bottom of the squad table to make yourself a squad leader, then you spawn with binoculars and can help the Commander by marking targets instead of just twiddling your thumbs. You also can then speak directly to the commander through the Commander radio channel. This also saves you taking up a slot in an "active" squad that may need all the help it can get capping objectives.
Weird thing is that I love being a radioman and a squad member
@@TheIndogamer Yeah it's good if there is coordination, My method of making yourself a squad leader whilst playing radioman is more so that you can tail the Commander and also be more useful overall by providing marks/speak to them directly through the commander channel without polluting the side/proximity chat. Which can be dangerous sometimes, I remember marking and calling a napalm in on an enemy commander when my radioman heard his radioman communicating to him over the proximity chat.
@@gaiuscaligula2229 I'm not the type of guy that locks the squad inclusivity, so I sometimes really wish I were on the battlements just so my men could spawn closer, instead of spawning behind the Cmd.
8:56 That promotion timing
Kango Bango that’s how Australian military work
8:56
One hell of a field promotion...
Rice field promotion!
Loved the Platoon reference at the beginning, keep it up man!
I like how you blurred the name of the commander that sucked.
Never played the game what did he do wrong?
@@gameexpert133 He dropped napalm on a bunch of friendlies.
Sometimes napalm is such a pain in the ass, not being able to decide it's orientation can be quite deadly
Still, at least he didn’t out the guy for not playing at his best.
@@Skele7ronfuckyoutubeitsmyname that happens literally every game
For me, radioman is just a chill job, I always like to be SL since I can mark for the commander and be a spawn point. And radioman is great since you don't have to be in the front and die alot and rage
Good UA-camrs are pretty rare, and a fellow dane too! this is just gr8
2:07 hey general sir Anthony
hi Thomas
THE MYTH, THE LEGEND, I got to be his radioman a week ago.
hi UARAF16
Anthonyy lol
@@GenSirAnthonyCHMelchett General, do you play rs2 or ro2 these days?
I like how you added the "push your handle twice if you can speak" that was a real thing for soldiers in advanced positions and foxholes
He didn’t add that, that was from the film platoon
6:55 How on earth did you survive that charge?
I was thinking the exact same thing when I made it.
god is with him
By screaming of course.
@@albertpirelius amen brother.
Lovely recreation of the scene from "platoon". Best Vietnam movie ever.
Platoon was a trilogy.
FMJ??
sticking with the commander all the time and you'll get highest score. that's what i have learned from radioman lol
Being a radioman is a huge responsibility. When there's a good TL (ho chi mihn) I really enjoy playing it tho. Best commanders communicate a lot but sometimes leave some room for squad leaders to decide how to take objectives. I usually play as a SL and communicate with my squad a lot. Sometimes in Hue City I just tend to support my machinegunners and give good marks on Northern flank. Throw few nades and snipe opposing team with a M16.
My biggest thing is a lot of commanders don't get on the frontlines and that's an extra body to cap points. Playing a frontline commander is a shit ton more fun than playing a desk commander.
Woodstock mode is the most useless feature in the game yet it wouldnt be a true vietnam experiance without it
Any other class: *Alert, advancing, killing and getting killed.*
The Commander and Radio man: *High on drugs*
Wow, Malvolio(7:50) is still playing this game even after 2 years haha, I saw him recently.
Amazing totorial for the radio man ! Casual and fun walk through, with the occasional murder spree
Wait so i dont have to shoot and stay in the back?
*SIGN ME UP*
Great guide! Really good editing, I like your style.
I saw you in a game the other day man. Great video btw, you got a new sububub. Loved that platoon reference too.
7:07 Wow, you really get into the role playing...
that's the actual in-game audio, the Red Orchestra series were always known for these ptsd inducing sounds ua-cam.com/video/ldNSMnEeKio/v-deo.html
radioman is the most underrated class in the game.
Commander is nothing without radioman
Radioman is nothing without commander.
Together they will decide if your team is going to win the match
fantastic video, captures a lot of what i think about the role
Ah thank you man for this tutorial I really liked it!
Your channel is such underrated man!!!
Love your videos and will ask my friends to subscribe you. See you on the field!
I like how you incorporated some Platoon elements, even the gunshot sound
Me, too scared to play the actual game: It's like... I was made for this.
Yes me too, but i only do it for the ex too.
Niiiiice! Gonna have to play him now more often.
Rising Storm 2 is one of the greatest games ever made. Great video, man! Thanks 👍
They could add a feature for radioman to make him more fun
He can attempt to find the frequency that enemy is using and get intel from them but it makes him for a while unavailable to use by his own commander and if his commander ask for his assistance but he can’t be available he get negative points
I don't think that's a good idea, the Radioman role is pretty realistic as is, I don't really think adding gamey elements like that is a good idea
NOW I KNOW PLATOON WHEN I SEE IT OR HEAR IT AND THAT RADIO INTERACTION AT THE START DEFINITELY CAME FROM THE MOVIE.. NICE VID DOUGH.....
Great video! Also, can you make a guide on how to effectively play both Southern and Northern Commanders? That would be great.
Middelfart says Hi :D Love the video - gonna play Radioman next time I get the chance :D
Radioman: *"We just find da commander"*
Dat commander just got straight up executed. Damn!
Lol you had the pleasure of playing with Gen. Sir Anthony! I love his videos as well
Radioman is unironically my favorite class in RS2V.
FYI, I main the medic in TF2
yes
Same
Thanks for this, pls make more!!
Godt arbejde bro keep it up
Nice intro dude. I really love the way how all of it start. :/
Never been this early. Notification squad!
Great video!
Some of the new Epic players need to see these guides man
Watching these videos for *when* I get a PC
Beautiful 🥺🥺
Good vids bro, informative. Maybe people will actually learn before they come to the game :)
Love the Woodstock Experience lmao
Bought the game like a week ago and that boddy rose guy you met in one of the clips is still there, must be some old veteran but he's one hell of a cool guy
I play with him from time to time. He's really a lot of fun :)
Great content! +1 sub
I think it’s worth mentioning that you will come to notice that when you play as radio man you become a priority target in an engagement as killing you will prevent any support being called in so an important rule to follow is to try blend in with grunts in your squad and, where possible, attempt to not put your self in a position where both you and the commander would be in a single players line of fire, hogging cover in an engagement, as if you give an enemy player an opportunity with both the commander and the radio op then you are leaving the rest of your squad mates without the two who, in the right hands, can be the most important to ensure they come out of an engagement on top.
5 second life expectancy
@@foxythefox356 More or less yeah, five seconds for the average radio op, like in the real war, a minute for a radioman who knows what they're doing
That intro bit is taken from the later part of the book Platoon. Y'all should read it.
*Oh look, Sir Anthony!!*
Jeg elsker dig.
Nice platoon reference
Damn you're making me want to play as a commander haha
I was wondering why nobody pick the radioman from what ive seen on UA-cam but i cant shoot for a penny so its a good class for me... The game will be available for free on Epic Games tomorrow (8 Oct to 15 Oct if anyone is wondering) so ill try it out. Good guide btw!
How is it?
@@BunnyBun11 In the beginning, frustrating because i was rushing a lot so i died a lot. I uninstalled the game and took a break of probably 3 weeks. Came back in, as a second chance and now its been pretty damn fun. Its about been patient i think. As for the radioman, its exactly what the video is explaining. Its been fun for me even as a radioman, just supporting the team and doing a favor to the commander while protecting him. Fun game in short.
@@gerry4074 yeah its a blast! When my ping doesnt fling me under or across the map that is.
You never made a commander guide for rs2? I love your videos
No but at one point I will.
The worst part of being a radioman is when you have to run across the battlefield after one of you respawns
How to play Radioman:
1. Sit next to commander
2. Follow him for the next 20 minutes until the match ends
3.
4. XP
I was the radioman in an infantry platoon while doing my mandatory military service, and that's a pretty realistic portrayal of the job... Might have to get this game now, didn't know I could RP as myself lol
@@quasicroissant lol that's gonna be fun
General sir Anthony... Still playing this game)
Yes he is :)
I’m just looking back on this vid and I realized wouldn’t it be cool if the VC had a war cry while bayonet charging.
2:00 I saw just that guy the other day actually.
MARS would be good right about now! 4:26 (Military Affiliate Radio System) (US Army)
Great video! I just started playing the game and thought about making some videos myself...
Thanks tew001. What kind of videos do you want to do?
@@Hexdk maybe reviews or help guides!
Looked again at the thumbnail/loadout at 1:23, was that a reference to Marine radioman Cpl. Michael Wynn whose picture was iconic for it being used by The Smiths for their album "Meat Is Murder"?
It's a coincidence, but I see that you mean.
Here he is... My today's radioman :P
HeHe hey Pibe88
@@Hexdk I really hope I'm one of the good commanders when you say "there are good ones and bad ones"!
Very good video btw, full of details.
@@pibe88iTa you are a veteran player. There is a reason why I recognize your name.
Woodstock Experience is key to radioman.
You should have touched on how if the radioman is with cmdr near objectives when attacking, he can spawn the whole team on him and turn the game real quick. Not possible if radioman isnt there with him. Great video tho!
Nick, you actually don’t need the radioman for that ;) and thanks.
Everybody gangsta till the commander leads a charge
Need a riflemen or a sapper guide
Holy fuck this amazing! Where did you get the voices from!
From my favorite war movie Platoon.
normally radioman is usually the top sniper target of PAVN and NLF
good to know im doing this job right
They’re in the trees!!!!!!
Bombs: drop
Radioman: WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
"It's not about points, goddamn it give me a body count!"
1:37 Shia LaBeouf is the radioman?
00:22: "Lieutenant's dead, radioman looks dead, I don't know where the map is"
Well... shit. :-/
4:15 lmao
Omg i am in TV)
Excellent guide. Can you make more? Cheers!
That's the plan.
@@Hexdk that's a great news! I got very attracted to this game thx to yours videos.
The guide to the radioman:You just don't....
If you need advice on commander, I am willing to help out with some advice and voice acting.
I've been known to do some legendary commanding and got most of my ranks commanding from both rising storm and red orchestra 1 and 2.
Huh!! What a funny coincidence to randomly stumble upon the great UndeadWill in the comment section of a Hex dk video... I've played as UndeadWill's radioman & the first thing I noticed about his command style was that he has mastered the art of boosting the team's morale! Many great laughs & good games were had! 😎
Still playing this cursed game
Yes.
7:06 What on Earth is that screaming? Is that a toggle? Or natural character reaction to charging under arty fire?
It was something I put in during editing.
I've had a few commanders tell me to just sod off and do my own thing cause they did not need my services so I was like "Guess I'll die then."
also, perfect video about radioman, and I didn't know the Radioman could pretty much farm points by sitting around like a sloth with the commander drinking a beer
Sometimes I do that. I just find the map radio the safest option and the radioman just sticking with me is a waste of a man. He'll be more useful in the front lines, though it's fun to have a radioman available if you need him.
4:14 me running in tag in RS2
What do I do if my commander is refusing to move around and is only using static radios?
yes
It's a shame this game isn't as popular as it should be
I like it.
Hey hex dk can you be a comader in rising Strom
The Vietnamese are coming! We've been compromised!
Spit it our Corporal!
Oh, Colonel... we are so fucked..
God I hope you get the refrence
que pena hacen falta más guías así pero en español
Where is the audio at the beginning from?
From my favorite war movie Platoon.
So was it an intentional change that you only get radio assist points for recon calls now or is it a bug that the devs won't fix? Feels kinda unfair to not get points for 3/4 of the calls.
This is a bug. Usually it will fix if you die/respawn. You are supposed to get +25 for every call a commander makes on your radio.
@@Hexdk I see. I picked the game up just recently and tried radioman after watching your video (cool video btw) but I am yet to earn points for anything else but recon calls. Despite of that managed to be the highest scorer in the game once so I still like the role.
hey can you tell me how you can get these footage without being In game (Theater mode or movie mode) i keep trying to find how and its driving me insane
When you join a server as spectator, you have free flow camera. But if klik one of the to mouse buttons, the camera will lock on to a player.
@@Hexdk Thanks! so there is no replay mode in this game?
@@Nightmare-tk4nq there might be, if you are an admin on a server, but I’m not quite sure
9:50 40-1 servers? I play there, and the powerbits ones ,see you in battle GI.
40-1 servers yes, I prefer to play there.
sometimes when i guard the commander i dont notice when he changes position
Always keep an eye on your HUD icon, its good to know where your commander is at all times
Radioman has 2 smokes. They are the most important thing in this game. Spawn, throw smokes, die, throw more smokes.
And repeat
