The terror on Dr. Nichols's face while at the podium as he realizes Dr. Kimble (Ford) is gonna expose him is pure joy when watching this film. The justice is palpable lol
The Fugitive is also one of the best Chicago movies ever made. Too many films supposedly* set in Chicago (*some films use other cities as a stand-in - gaaaahhh) fail to capture the Chicago vibe. This film nails it, from the scene at the real Chicago St. Patrick's Day parade to "Chicago Memorial Hospital" (aka Cook County Hospital) to the Polish landlady and her son (Chicago has the largest Polish population outside of Warsaw). As a lifelong resident of Chicagoland, this film is always a treat to watch.
This is my most favorite action movie of my childhood, thanks to Harrison Ford's The Fugitive, I was so hook to watch the television series that is based on.
This is one of my most favourite Action Thrillers, and one of my most favourite films of all time. I liked Harrison Ford and Tommy Lee Jones in the movie so much! I think the director Andrew Davis did an amazing job at this movie, and James Newton Howard composed an awesome soundtrack for the movie! I recommend this movie for people that likes watching classics from the 90s!! If I'd rate this film on an A+ to F scale, I'll rate this an "A+".
The look of "Oh shit!" On Nichol's face was priceless! As soon as Kimble says "You almost got away with it didn't you?" Had Nichols like "I'm fucked if I don't get rid of Kimble!!"
He was screwed either way. Even if he succeeded in dispatching Richard there would’ve been an investigation. The drug would’ve been pulled and Dr Nichols would be sitting a very long time anyway. He was going down no matter what
@Onecooltop75 not if he would have gotten rid of Richard and disposed of all of the evidence proving his guilt. He would have found a way to get away with it.
@@Onecooltop75 In all likelihood, the drug's side effects would have come out and the company would have been fined, and then that's it. The fines are never as much as the profit gained from pushing bad drugs (which is one of the reasons why bad drugs get pushed).
What a beautifully done scene, the way he crashed the speech and bullied his colleague, the murmuring of the crowd, the host of the event futilely trying to calm people down. It looked and felt like a real life thing.
I daresay one of the greatest dramatic thrillers ever. Well-written, well-acted, well-directed, well-musically scored, with gripping subject matter and shot on many locations in Chicago. _The Fugitive_ has tons of replay value. It actually got a Best Picture nomination for the films of 1993. And Tommy Lee Jones won Best Supporting Actor (although Ralph Fiennes in Schindler's List had the _much_ more ranged and nuanced performance).

Love Jeroen Krabbe’s performance in this. He plays such a sad, pathetic and almost pitiful figure. He can’t face his former friend like a man, goes for the cheap chair shot to the back, a flimsy gut punch and a few desperate shoves because he’s shit out of options and knows he’s seconds away from an ass whopping…..
Dr. Nichols is such a pathetic, mundane villain, but that’s definitely intentional, because it’s real. He was just an “average” guy overcome with greed.

Froze up like a bitch 💯
In practice Scott Peterson and many other victims of conferences swapped their places with Nichols and Nicholes...
One of the greatest movies I ever watched. Seen it at least 20 times! The last time perhaps 10 years ago!
I agree! It’s certainly up there. I love the vibe of late 80s early 90s movies. Thanks for watching and saying hello!
A classic! 👍

Only 20 times? Rookie number.

“The model for continued dishonest… excuse me… honest.” That’s a Freudian slip of the tongue from a dishonest person.
A scientist lying so a pharmaceutical company can market a drug? that's shocking.
UMMMM THE VACCINE

I’m glad these things are confined to the realm of fiction.
"No side effects, whatsoever." Tell that to the guy Richard was doing surgery on while Helen was being murdered.
That’s why he had to go.
Why she killed anomaly discovered
This movie is well done, great plot and best actors in this movie
I could watch this movie over and over, it never gets old! 😅I love it!

Most Suspenseful Movie I Have Ever Seen. The Best Actors.
“What accent did that guy have by the way?”
-John Mulaney
Van Dammese
Mulaney is the reason I always laugh during this scene...the bastard!!
German … this film reveals all the truth you need to know… but, few pay attention.
YOU SWITCHED THE SAMPLES
Krabbe was dutch
One of the greatest movies of all time
Jeroen Krabbe has a wonderful singing voice
There is nothing much worse than being betrayed by your best friend!
well wouldn't be da first time a Harrison Ford character was portrayed, luckily Nichols didn't have a gun like Secret Service Agent Gibbs did.
and for financial gain too....shameful
Maybe lando
Then his own son.
This is my favourite movie I’ve lost count how many times I watched it
It's one of the few movies (for me) that you can't turn off if you happen to catch it on TV!
You switched the samples
Harrison Ford at his best

What a beautifully done scene, the way he crashed the speech and bullied his colleague, the murmuring of the crowd, the host of the event futilely trying to calm people down. It looked and felt like a real life thing.
I'm pretty sure that Harrison Ford angrily pointed at someone in every movie he was in lol😂😂😂
Dr. Nichols was a great villain. How many of us saw through this guy right from the start at the first viewing? Great portrayal by Jeroen Krabbe.
He also worker with Rutger Hauer and Paul Verhoeven. He was also Georgi Koskov in The Living Daylights and Gianni Franco in The Punisher

Spotlight operator for the win

Excellent movie
The "strange" case of some killer and framer giving a speech at a conference. It's based on true stories...
Why does the emcee crack me up so much? “Can we get some security in here please!”
The guy on the helicopter should've said, "The stones will be found, Dr. Kimble! You won't!"
I always wondered where he lived after the apartment raid.
"Man, you're Walter Jacobson!"
Two “doctors” in a fistfight hahahahaha
Harrison Ford Vs Jeroen Krabbe
Han Solo/Indiana Jones vs. General Georgi Koskov

Why the hell did Nichols stab his best friend in the back. What the hell was he thinking?
That's an answer that Mr. Krabs know very well: *Money*
thank you
I don't give up either. This might hurt a bit for all involved.
1:25 - Hello Charles, surprised to see me?
1:37 - it was at that moment, Dr. Nichols knew he was screwed
My father said Nichols is panicking
I can still feel that knee to the groin to this day
I have a feeling that this sort of deceitfulness exists in the real world unfortunately

Great movie
The "no side effects whatsoever" didn't age well, when you hear about the side effects of drugs in today's commercials.
Did he switch the samples? I didn't catch it 😂

Kimble is bulling to fight nichols
Most of this film was improvised, giving it a natural feel to the dialogue.
Who came here via John Mulaney's Clinton bit?

A lot of corrupt scientists and pharma corporations have been profiting off a similar defective treatment within the last 3 years.
The Fugitive reboot with Chris Pratt/Bradley Cooper would be fucking awesome WB should make it happen.
They would have some mighty big shoes to fill.
@thecowboy9698 I agree but I think that Pratt/Cooper would be awesome for The Fugitive reboot.
