The Stadium, How I Remember It - Hockey's Greatest Arena Ever. #hockey #memories #nostalgia #nhl
I put together this video and tried to make the video as close to my memories of the Stadium when I was a kid. I left out the Bulls and their glorious years of championships and Michael Jordan. I was and am a hockey player, and for me the Stadium was hockey. I hope you enjoy!

The Chicago Stadium was an indoor arena in Chicago that opened in 1929, closed in 1994 and was demolished in 1995. It was the home of the National Hockey League's Chicago Blackhawks and the National Basketball Association's Chicago Bulls It was used for numerous other sporting events, opening with a championship boxing match in March 1929. The Stadium was built by Paddy Harmon, a promoter, who sank his entire fortune into the project, only to lose control to the Stadium shareholders, and leave his family nearly penniless a year later when he died. After exiting receivership in 1935, the Stadium was owned by the Norris and Wirtz families until its closure in 1994.
In the Stanley Cup semifinals of 1971, when the Blackhawks scored a series-clinching empty-net goal in Game 7 against the New York Rangers, CBS announcer Dan Kelly reported, "I can feel our broadcast booth shaking! That's the kind of place Chicago Stadium is right now!" The dressing rooms at the Stadium were placed underneath the seats, and the cramped corridor that led to the ice, with its twenty-two steps, became the stuff of legend. Legend has it a German Shepherd wandered the bowels at night as "the security team."
After the Blackhawks and Bulls moved to the United Center, the Chicago Stadium was demolished in 1995. Its site is now a parking lot for the United Center across the street. CNN televised the demolition, showing devoted Blackhawks and Bulls fans crying as the wrecking ball hit the old building. The console of the Barton organ now resides in the Phil Maloof residence in Las Vegas, Nevada. Also, the center of the Chicago Bulls' floor resides in Michael Jordan's trophy room at his mansion in North Carolina.

going to use this scene in my paper about cook county hospital
I found Julianne Moore annoying in this movie...the first i'd ever seen her in. Little did I know, she'd become an onscreen annoyance for me for the next three decades. 😐
2:33 “I think he did it just to feel normal again… if only for a short while.”
it's a small sequence that humanizes Kimball, scene like this that doesn't get put into movies much anymore.
Hollywood could never make a smart movie like this these days.
one of, if not, THE best suspense movies I've ever seen, Excellent cast, story ,a Tribute to the original tv series
Hmm he did that solo. That should be his name.
This part is one of the scenes that motivated me to study medicine. Alas, I suffered a traumatic spine injury in my last year as a pre-med. I had to go back to law.
the relief on Fords face when Tommy Lee lays out how he believes hes innocent..and all the players involved...and then repeats "they killed my wife" after he saves Tommy Lee...finally someone in power believes him...top 5 all time movie
നിർണയം മലയാളത്തിൽ
Julianne Moore is hot in this movie.
Dr Kimble is a legend re risked his life to save the boy he saves Gerard too Surely during the movie Gerard must have suspected Kimble’s innocence Kimble is very brave he is a great character and a super doctor
3:57 How he calls him “doctor.”
Remember seeing this when it came out. Really good film. Hard to believe it's been 31 years now.
What an ungrateful woman
I adore how he talks to the kid so kindly and respectfully to keep him calm.
Old CCH was , and likely still is, a very interesting place
It AMAZES me that the communist movie market allowed a movie like THIS!!!! A true exposure of big pharma!!!!
Great movie! Movie 🎥🎥🎥
1:03 looks like a toddler x-ray to me and the heart is in the right.
My best friends and I saw this movie four times in the theater the summer it came out. What a great script, great acting, great directing, just all around perfect. And that train crash, when you’re in the theater seeing it on the big screen, that crash is the most amazing thing you’ll ever see. Worth paying to go four times.
Oh great, now you spoiled it.
Great movie. Great scene. The sad part is that she was upset because a janitor crossed a line to save a life. The arrogance! Kimball was being true to his calling, saving a life, comforting the patient and seeking his wellbeing. Ford acting was top notch, his face after delivering the patient safely to the OR, was one of relief and happiness. The medical system needs a complete overhaul. Insurance has taken over the medical system and today it is more important the numbers, the codes, the authorizations than the actual healing of patients. That is just sad. We are paying hundreds of dollars for an IV, for an aspirin, for a simple suture of an open wound. It is getting out of control. Some doctors make hundred of thousands of dollars, while some nurses just struggle to get by. The insurance companies get to keep millions and refuse treatment or claims from patients.
Han Solo pulled a fast one
Youre nothing but a one armed bandit.
I want the real blue pill
The last lines of dialogue are so well written. "I thought you didn't care - I don't... but don't tell anybody, ok?". Of course he cares. Perfect example of antiphrasis.
a power of knowledge.
“How’s the boy doing? He saved his life.”
90s movies are the most rewatchable movies.
"What kind of accent did THAT guy have, by the way?"
His face was like "This witch doctors and their soyence and star signs!!!!!
I saw this movie at HB0 30 years ago

He has the true docto's handwriting.
dakmn thats a great openin scene i gotta get there again
A few things about this hard-hitting classic movie UPN/Warner Bros./WB flagship movie. While UPN didn't have this title, as not every WB movie is gonna be under UPN's catalog, this did not air on Tribune's crappy non-Warner Bros.ish unpopular shit network, The WB. Being that UPN aligns with Cinemax, rather than unpopular crappy HBO, I should note this was a Cinemax exclusive premiere, much like "GoodFellas." HBO always has the most formulaic bullshit and crappy shows unlike Cinemax. OK yes Cinemax can't have every big hit in their catalog. Obviously "Godfather" and "Godfather 2" were staples of HBO being that both of them came before Cinemax's creation in 1980. BUT Max secured the EP or at least first-runs of the ones that matter to most people - "GoodFellas," "New Jack City," "Boyz n the hood," "Juice," "The Fugitive," "Sense and Sensibility," "Raging Bull" Yes HBO had "Rain Man" and "Total Recall" and they had "Moonstruck" and "Dances with Wolves." But who the heck watches those movies exception maybe "Rain Man" and "Moonstruck"?
3:23 Clarice Starling, laying down the law!
Took a White doctor to do it.
I don't give up either. This might hurt a bit for all involved.
Two of the absolute best actors in the business Jones and Ford.
Dr. Nichols is such a pathetic, mundane villain, but that’s definitely intentional, because it’s real. He was just an “average” guy overcome with greed.
Two “doctors” in a fistfight hahahahaha
we were spoiled...nothing even remotely close to this good in the last 25 years!!!!
Well ok that’s an exaggeration there have lots of great films since then
Amazing movie.
Not a fractured sternum but a collapsed lung. I had that happen when I was young. Can only breath in little sips because it feels like you're being stabbed with a knife otherwise.
The best movie of Ford and John ❤
I always forget how good this movie is. It's never an answer to "What should I watch", but then I see these clips and I'm all "Then what happens????"
Amazing scene.
Julianne Moore's role may have been short but... Whatta doll smokeshow she is...
Apparently she was supposed to be Kimble's romantic interest, but the scenes were cut because of plot conflict.
@@elmerslick8700 Did not know that. It would've made sense though. Thanks for that!
Proved his innocence, saved a kid, and prevented a massive lawsuit. Not bad.
