I just love how broken the land animals movents are. The birds can land on thin air, and the crabs slide across the ground instead of walking. At least they dont swim backwards like sandsharks.
Also, there is another creature, but isn’t seen. On the floating island, there is a orangey plant that is called the grub basket, and it tends to eat bugs that are attracted by it. And the cave crawlers possibly migrated to the floating island in between the degasi and aurora crashes, as the PDAs say that there were no predators on the island
That is a good point :) I suppose some microscopic insects might be a thing - I don't really think the PDA excludes the crawlers from having lived on the island before as they are labeled as ''Scavengers and Parasites''

My guess is cave crawlers normally scavenge off beached or washed up bodies from the ocean, but like many crabs and coastal animals, they could be omnivores, eating the plant life on the islands and small shellfish that live in the sand, and seeing how their relative, the blood crawler, lives in the water, I think that cave crawlers would go into the ocean to find other sources of food
When you go into space you can see quite a lot of small islands, some of which must have been bigger than the subnautica crater, so I would like to know if there are any other creatures there. Also, maybe some lifepods managed to land there, since only 10 are in the game and 25 managed to land

Basically number then fu for lols check it out it's hilarious
I could have swore that there was a pda entry that stated that upon the initial firing of the Q.E.P. Over half of the lifepods were destroyed. So that can account for 12-13 of them. SO maybe 2 survived and were sent to other areas of the planet.
Something interesting to think about is that the crabs have one eye on the *top* of their head, meaning that they need to look out for something above. The other birds are herbivores, but the “large bird” that you mentioned may be the thing that the crabs have to look out for! My theory is that these large birds most likely prey on the crabs, which is why they have an eye on the top of their head to look out for them.

I love how the sky ray is the first animal you (probably) see and also the last one you see from the seat of the Neptune just before it lifts off. Just like the first ray it's only trying to land to have a short rest but gets interrupted by Riley, I like to think it was the same one as from the beginning.
I figured I’d try and see that warehouse reflection myself... I didn’t see it, but what I did see surprised me. The eyes of the oculus and Reginald have a reflection of the cyclops’s bridge.

Fun fact! There is a glitch where if you grab a crawler with a propulsion cannon and stand on it, then look forward, you will be using/riding the crawler as a plane. I got ON TOP of the Aurora with this.

I believe there was also a concept art (wether it was made by the subnautica team or not) of a creature that was very big and lived on the floating islands. It would’ve blended in with the big trees on the island and was most likely passive

That eye would be useless. A smaller appeture means that you get more in focus. That eyes pupil means that it will be able to see only a very fine window, if at all.
Been playing Subnautica for two days worth of gameplay. I'm still chicken to face Crabsquids and Warpers as well as head to the Blood Kelp. I mean the Crash Zone is safer compared to that place, in my opinion...

If you spawn a Sea Treader Leviathan land, it will be able to survive. Quite like the blood crawler. Also, what about the Repair Bot in Precursor bases?

Well that might be the case :) but it is also theoretically possible, that they would carry ''water tanks'' kinda like how we carry oxygen, with them...
They may not even be adapted to either environment, they could breathe a methane like atmosphere, this is however unlikely due to the type of air in the facilities as a toxic atmosphere within where you work would be counterproductive.
The mandibles imply crawlers are carnivores, but there’s nothing to eat on land, maybe they jump really high in order to hunt skyray, or go into the water to eat peepers, maybe they are omnivores

The crawlers probably just ate the remains of any personnel around and inside the aurora, same thing with the bleeders. The reapers most likely ate any survivors.

There is still some glitches in the game 1. The head carp is floating on the ground not walking 2. The sky ray is sitting on nothing like they are sitting on the air ??! 3. you can actually grab a head carp and fly or move faster by butting it under your legs and look up an forward!
Idk if this counts but in the inactive lava zone thermal plant there is a weird bug-ish thing which is the mechanical spider is what I would like to call it. Sorry is it doesn’t count.

Well technically 25 deployed and only 10 sent a signal back I think :) but who knows, perhaps there is more life to be found on land out there.
Maybe those other 15 that were deployed flew outside the crater and got destroyed by leviathans or just starved

Your first encounter is a ray either way, if you went out the bottom hatch instead there is always a Rabbit Ray examining it when you open it.

For ages, I though that cave crawlers were little robots designed by the precursors due to their weird, robot look and the big blue thing on them.
Well it isn't such a weird thought considering the precursors do have those small mechanical spiders patrolling in some bases :)

Anything on the left side of the Aurora is generally safer, front back and right will be a lot more hazardous. In terms of crash zone of course

Didn't know sea treaders can survive on land :) ....and repair bots aren't technically alive.

That warehouse reflection is the lighting reflection on your software preview. That shouldn’t appear in game.
It really depends on how they have their reflections set up :) never took the time to actually examine it in-game.

You're most likely right :) it probably protects them from extreme temperature differences.
This theory is very flawed due to the cave crawlers not encountering fire in their normal habitats, storms are not really a thing in the crater.

There is still some glitches in the game
1. The head carp is floating on the ground not walking
2. The sky ray is sitting on nothing like they are sitting on the air ??!
3. you can actually grab a head carp and fly or move faster by butting it under your legs and look up an forward!
There are still definitely quite a few glitches in the game :)

Idk if this counts but in the inactive lava zone thermal plant there is a weird bug-ish thing which is the mechanical spider is what I would like to call it. Sorry is it doesn’t count.

They do posses a membrane like that - but the thing on top is in all actuality an eye :)
