There _is_ that one area in Subnautica (the one with the floating rock formations suspended underwater, not sure what it's called) that implies something about the Floaters' natural life cycle and lifespan - the PDA tells you that erosion patterns on the rock suggest that these islands were once floating at the surface, much like the current Floating Island. My theory is that the old concept art w/ multiple floater isles is the under islands up north. My theory basically states that they were originally supposed to be on the surface during the events of the game, but were basically vaulted, having it be ancient isles, that USED to be on the surface, many many years ago.
Favorite past time...getting revenge with my floater army I have amassed by attaching them and laughing. The object, usually Squidbillies, spin and crash aimlessly into walls of the caverns.
actually, the floater is not the only thing that the player holds with 2 hands. other things include: the scanner room cameras, beacons, grav traps, and almost every deployable
I got one of these guys stuck inside the bottom entry hatch of my Lifepod. It's stuck just far enough in that i cant grab it, so i just phase through it any time i enter my lifepod. Which luckily you dont really do much after you build your bases
Okay this is a test. I’ve commented on videos from months ago, and you have replied! So what about one from a year ago? Of course if you see this, just a comment saying you saw it would be cool! 1:39 It’s not an animal it’s a parasite. If you’re going to do lore videos please read the PDA entry Edit: Thanks for correcting yourself (I guess I shouldn’t comment before finishing the video)
Well everything alive, whether it's the tallest tree or the smallest amoeba, is classified as either plant or animal, so he isn't wrong in calling the floater an animal. It's a parasitic animal, but an animal nonetheless.
Another one that breaks the pattern is the sea emperor waif- I mean leviathan. When you first see its full body, you probably think something like "is this a god damn sea dragon requiem"
Ghost leviathan: Time for a nice gelatinous food source
Ancient floater: I'm about to end this leviathans whole career

Imagine the giant floaters decide to start attacking us, their giants mouths just swallow everything
Well luckily they'd probably be pretty slow :)
The game devs basically took the harmless and peaceful pyrosomes, mutated them a bit, and pumped them with helium, lol.
Hahaha oddly accurate description :)
Bacon : trying to stick floaters to anything that moves
Yep :) and you didn't even see all the instances I edited out.
most destructive creature everyone:architects. The last bacon:FLOATER
Haha have you seen how quickly they can mess up a perfectly good cyclops? :D
My theory is that the old concept art w/ multiple floater isles is the under islands up north. My theory basically states that they were originally supposed to be on the surface during the events of the game, but were basically vaulted, having it be ancient isles, that USED to be on the surface, many many years ago.
It could also make sense, if some of the large floaters simply died, causing the islands to sink a bit :)
Favorite past time...getting revenge with my floater army I have amassed by attaching them and laughing. The object, usually Squidbillies, spin and crash aimlessly into walls of the caverns.
Haha love it :)
actually, the floater is not the only thing that the player holds with 2 hands. other things include: the scanner room cameras, beacons, grav traps, and almost every deployable
True :) I meant like creature!
oh
I got one of these guys stuck inside the bottom entry hatch of my Lifepod. It's stuck just far enough in that i cant grab it, so i just phase through it any time i enter my lifepod. Which luckily you dont really do much after you build your bases
Good thing it didn't make your lifepod float away :)
Okay this is a test. I’ve commented on videos from months ago, and you have replied! So what about one from a year ago?
Of course if you see this, just a comment saying you saw it would be cool! But I do have a question...
Mesmers or reapers? Two of my personal favourite things I’m curious about what you think of the two?
I see :) I respond!
I can't wait for the new leviathans lore!
Can't wait either :) just need them to add a bit more lore.
1:39 It’s not an animal it’s a parasite. If you’re going to do lore videos please read the PDA entry
Edit: Thanks for correcting yourself (I guess I shouldn’t comment before finishing the video)
Well everything alive, whether it's the tallest tree or the smallest amoeba, is classified as either plant or animal, so he isn't wrong in calling the floater an animal. It's a parasitic animal, but an animal nonetheless.
It can still be an animal while being a parasite :) but I'm glad you watched the vid till the end!
The operation to raise my cyclops wreck back to the surface, the cyclops is in orbit now
Takes just one extra floater and the cyclops becomes a spaceship :)
Do you think that you could do Rock Puncher lore from BZ?
@@TheLastBacon Ok, can't wait to see it! Also, you mis-spelled Below.
@@thatoneheavymain237 And now I accidentally deleted the response....well anyways :D I'll still be making that video eventually!
Your a great youtuber you know why?
Because you care about your fans 😀😀
Thank you very much :) I try as much as I can.
The Last Bacon just really love 💕 your vids and very educational.
Ah I remember bullying reefbacks by attaching loads of floaters. Good times
Haha poor reefies :)
I feel like these have some sort of dna with the oxygen plants to make them float
Who knows :) you could be right!
Another one that breaks the pattern is the sea emperor waif- I mean leviathan. When you first see its full body, you probably think something like "is this a god damn sea dragon requiem"
Yeah true :) that one is very unique as well!
Sea emperor...waifu?
0:17 ghost leviathans don't give good hugs. They're much better at nuzzling.
You deserve more than what you have in subscriber count
Thank you very much for the kind words :)
@@TheLastBacon u replied! That was fast to. Normally I would wait at least 2 days before a reply. Very aficiant indeed
True.
I wonder if floaters can be used to make the aurora go back to space?
Lol unfortunately not :D
You: Throws floater at peeper
Floater: I am S P E E D
Haha yeah how do they move SO FAST :D
