The Last Bacon And sometimes reapers can be in safe shallows from gameplays I’ve watched Also I have a question When bendy and the dark revival comes out are you going to be doing lore videos on the characters
I think that in terms of terror, unless it's totally dark and you need a light source, Crabsquids outrank Bonesharks. Warpers are less "I just pissed myself" and more "how tf did I die?". I'd also switch Ghost and Dragon. You are constantly alarmed and most likely use a well equipped Prawn in the Lava Zone, the Ghost attacks in open water.
Both of those are fair arguments :) honestly there were some positions on this list I didn't feel particularly strong about - for ex. the position of ghost vs dragon.
*drops a giant ship that looks like a pixar iteration of a special needs penguin (dont tell me you dont see it) on a planet full of happy animals* "top that biatch"
BJDAFENIX well, you can’t really blame alterra. When a massive laser that has easily destroyed the Sunbeam hits your ship, causing massive amounts of damage and destroying the engines while you are close to a planet, you can’t really do anything but crash. I’m glad they crashed in the part of the map home to those massive lethiathans, I hope many of them died
Kharaa is the only contender for the most dangerous bacteria in Subnautica. Now if this video was talking about the most dangerous lifeform in Subnautica (flora, fauna, fungi [examples of fungi are considered flora by the PDA but are considered fungi by our classification system such as Acid Mushrooms and Deep Shrooms], and bacteria [there are no known examples of protists, unfortunately]), then Kharaa would be the highest.
You could have included factors like Aggression ( when will they attack you and how often) Abilities (eg. Teleportation, fireballs ect.) Speed Chance of encounter in story ( chance of running into During story) Ps. I love your lore videos
@@thesquad6632 Last bacon is waiting in our Closets, the Ghost Leviathan is waiting in His, The Sea Dragon Leviathan is waiting in that closet and what's in the Sea Dragon Leviathan's closet? The terrifying monstrosity known as the Peeper
To be honest would be cool if there was a mod for subnautica where you can BECOME a leviathan and have its abilitys I.e the sea dragon's abilitys of being able to survive hot conditions and being able to spit in the words of bacon freaking molten meteors! Just imagne
Kinda agree with you. But if you rank the creatures individually in the categories, such as stealthiest, most damage, most health etc. I feel like the reaper and the sea dragon would be quite close contenders for most categories covered. Bar maybe the warper for stealthiest because of their size, relatively dark colouration to match most of their habitats, and ability to snatch you from the safety of your vehicle from a distance
My #1 is Reaper due to its extreme aggro. If you where to put the Sea Dragon directly up against a Reaper the Reaper would win because it attacks considerably more often.
That’s the baby ghost leviathan. The baby’s are more docile/chill, less aggressive, and they don’t chase you as much. They also do less damage and move slightly slower. The adult ghost leviathans- on the off chance you go to the edge of the map (dead zone) to encounter them- are the deadliest enemy in the entire game IMO. Although the reapers still scare me a lot more bcuz of their appearance
@@Giasas07 yeah surprisingly they’re much less aggressive also. I mean I’m not saying that they’re not aggressive, but they’re less predatory. Go to the dead zone on the edge of the map… They will straight up hunt you down relentlessly. But in the river area, they only swim at you if you’re super close and basically if you egg them on. If you stay calm and try to avoid them, 90% of the time you’ll be fine. If you’re in the sub, just use your silent engine mode while you’re in their vicinity
I remember I was looking for the lost river I made it to the edge of the map and found the ghost leviathan there but some voice in my head told “turn around and turn on sonar re🅱️ard”
I looked through the comments and it doesn't look like anyone else mentioned this, but the Ghost leviathan has 8,000 health. Based on your criteria though, I agree with the Reaper getting the top spot because there are freakin' 25 of them on the map! The biomes that they're found in are just crawling with them. That's some scary food for thought. Really cool video by the way!
I kinda think that if you asked the average Subnautica player from which creature they died the most, the Crashfish would be mentioned. High damage, very early in the game, and you can't really see it coming. Just my opinion :)
The most dangerous being in subnautica, at least in my experience, is the seamoth, I've died twice to it when I tried to escape at high speeds and a few other times took alot of damage.
I think the Warpers can't really be given a specific danger level, because they mostly use the environment to their advantage. Their toughness essentially depends on the location. They can warp you out of a Seamoth or PRAWN Suit in the Sparse Reef, but then the only thing that can attack you is the Warpers themselves, whereas if they warp you out of your vehicle in one of the Lava Zones, you have Lava Lizards spitting at you, lava potentially destroying your PRAWN suit while you're not piloting it, and sometimes even a Sea Dragon in the vicinity, all while the Warper itself is still trying to attack you.
I usually kill them too, including ghost leviathans sometimes. Exception iswhen i can't be bothered because the location isn't really important. Also couldn't be bothered to kill the dunes ones when exploring it because there is 8 of then there and i was getting sick of it after just killing 2 in a row.
It's actually the Drooping Stingers, for me. Specifically in the Jellyshroom biome base. Misplaced hit boxes that are nowhere near what I'm seeing on screen, that's mind numbingly stressful and frustrating.
Ended my first hardcore run, idk if its a bug or the ones in jellyshroom base deal extra damage but i got stung by just one and it killed me in 2 seconds, my hp dropped by a quarter each time poison dealt damage. Couldn't react fast enough to heal because i was not expecting that, they deal barely any damage usually when you hit one, even swimming into a pack doesn't kill you as fast normally
You shouldve also ranked them in speed because i feel like in subnautica you really dont have much of a fight or flight because there so little ability to actually fight, its more of just a flight and so speed is a big factor, thats why i feel like dragon leviathons are not really that dangerous but im very terrified of reapers and ghost leviathons.
I agree 100%. I feel like the fully grown ghost leviathan’s are actually tied for the most dangerous in terms of a “if you encountered them, would you die” category. The adults are very fast and super strong. However they were kind of put in the game as a way of keeping players from leaving the “map”, lol. You only really pretty much encounter the baby ghost leviathans during normal play. But if you do encounter the fully grown adult ghosts, they’re deadly. But for me the reaper leviathans scare me on a purely psychological level. They remind me of sharks, and I’m afraid of sharks lol
I think warpers should be a lot higher because while they do only have 100 health, its too difficult to do any damage to them without being attacked or teleported by them.
They are weak hp wise, damage wise, not really that aggressive unless you get close and after just 1-3 stabs they flee. Their attacks are also easy to dodge because they are slow. They aren't really dangerous early game and they are just slight annoyance mid to late game.
They’re not sneaky at all lol and their attack is weak even at the beginning of the game lol. For me I agree with his ranking, the 3 leviathans are dangerous as hell and the other enemies not so much. Warper’s can be a pain if they sneak up on you though
To be honest, I think the crashfish is the most dangerous critter. They're fast as fuck and only make noise when you're right on top of them (not to mention they're in caves so you can't outrun them even if they didn't get the jump on you), they're so early game that you need to battle them just to make the repair tool, and they can destroy your god damn seamoth. For fuck sake, they're so OP that people use them to take down reapers, who the hell was the dumbass that put these danger balloons in the SAFE shallows!?
The Moment you mentioned the criteria I already knew the reapers would take top spots. Those are right cheeky bastards those reapers. My current playthrough is actually a reaper-hunter. Right now im on 5 dead reapers.
The only disagreement I have is your rating of the Crabsnake's stealth. Sure it's bright pink, but it's in a bright pink biome, giving it camouflage. Also, they tend to hide in the mushrooms, meaning they could be *anywhere*.
In my opinion, ghost leviathans are the most dangerous bc they are everywhere I go, they are in the most important places you have to go, reapers aren't much necessary to encounter in the game, I only needed to encounter a reaper one time
The Crabsnake and the Warper deserve their spots. I think the Crabsquid and Boneshark should both earn the tie of the 6th and 5th most dangerous creatures since I agree with their placement here but I also think the Crabsquid should be above the Boneshark. All 3 Leviathans being in the top 3 is very acceptable due to how highly dangerous they are, compared to other aggressive carnivorous (I know, the Ghost Leviathan is actually a aggressive, territorial, planktivorous leviathan, but it is the only planktivorous fauna in the game that is aggressive due to the fact that they are territorial). And I agree that the Ghost Leviathan should be below the Sea Dragon Leviathan, but I think the Reaper should be below the Ghost Leviathan. Due to the fact that a Ghost Leviathan roar is not that loud unless your close to them (Reaper roars are louder but can only be heard amongst the background ambience, if you listen closely while Ghost roars are more quieter due to the fact that you can't hear them unless you're really close), and their bioluminescence doesn't really give them away in certain areas like if you're in the Grand Reef, where 2 of them reside. Plus the Reaper being below the Sea Dragon Leviathan is due to the fact that Sea Dragons eat Reapers. An apex predator is more dangerous than a regular predator due to the fact that there is a reason that the apex predator is an apex predator. And that reason is because it is capable of challenging any other danger due to it's traits. Edit: Also, I found out about which biome is the most dangerous one. It is the Northern Blood Kelp Zone as it is the only biome which contains 3 of the contestants in this video: the Warper, the Crabsquid, and the Ghost Leviathan. No other biome contains at least 3 species from the list in the video.
The scariest creature in subnautica....is you...i mean you can kill everything, but besides that it's the kirra bacteria. It will probably kill all the creatures on the planet.
Imo the reaper. Yes sea dragon leviathans are stronger but you usually run into them in a prawn suit so they aren't so dangerous. While reapers you run into early game when they are more of a threat than sea dragon will be at the endgame. But having a reaper attack your seamoth or cyclops is way more annoying and often unexpected. I find having to deal with reapers a annoying chore because they are common while usually when i visit the lava zones i fight a dragon for fun. Fighting that one dragon at the lava lakes was a fun pasttime while farming ion cubes and waiting new one to be generated. So because i tend to fight sea dragons while prepared often and they tend to be easy to avoid i find reapers more dangerous who i never want to meet but will anyway. They are no fun to fight so they are just a nusiance to deal with and usually attack when i am not looking for a fight.
Oh I totally agree :) I think reapers are the most dangerous because of how common they are, how early in the game you encounter them and how sneaky they can be!
The problem with ranking creatures in subnautica is the fact that subnautica plays on terror hence why the reaper and ghost leviathans or so loud its to scare you thats why they swim of into the darkness after it attacks it makes you think it'll come back out of the darkness so you should be ranking them by terror
And let’s admit subnautica is one of those great original games like left of dead that don’t shove the story down ur throat but instead leave little Easter eggs hints or dialogue to explain and give detail to their world but they also tend to run out of content for lore
I’m glad you didn’t make the encounters in vehicles, because that just makes it incredibly complicated. Like, the warper can warp you out of them, the reaper can two shot the sea moth but if your in the prawn your fine, the dragon deletes whatever you put infront of it, it just makes it complicated
I'd add the Crashfish and Blood sucker to the list. Now, they will be low, but they score high in terms of sneak. The leeches are small and not very easy to spot inside the Aurora, especially when you're fixing the reactor. The Crashfish are dangerous because even if they have a pod they always spawn from, those pods aren't always that easy to spot, and the trigger range is not clear. And you meet them early. You might be swimming along, and then you just hear this sound coming closer, and you might not be able to see where it's coming from, and it can't be outswam without the assistance of a vehicle or the handheld booster.
Oh I totally agree that both crashfish and blood suckers are very painful to deal with and can (in the right conditions) be very deadly :) I just thought that the creatures on this list would take the edge!
"There are quite a few reapers around the aurora" when I explored, I saw no reapers, I was ambushed by a pack of 10 adult ghost leviathans while looking for one of the lifepods.
The Last Bacon unlucky for sure. They followed me all the way back to the safe shallows, chasing me along with 5 or so crashish, they chased me so far away that I was in the void, where I got killed by another ghost leviathan. If that's not unlucky, I don't know what is. I had all my equipment in my prawn suit, which was in my grassy plateus base luckily. In retrospect, I should have hid in the jelly shroom caves with the far less dangerous crabsnakes.
Yeah the reaper might be loud making it easy to notice but it's so scary that you are probably going to freak out and get yourself killed if you aren't used to reaper encounters
Although the game says the sea dragon leviathan is one of the most if not the most aggressive entity in the game it’s actually very easy to avoid and most times it’s not big to turn or out maneuver u if it became hostile to u
I haven't finished the video and I haven't read the comments, but in my opinion the Sea Dragon Leviathan is the most dangerous because they deal a lot of damage, and a single Sea Dragon Leviathan managed to destroy a precursor base...and release the Kharaa bacteria.
I would have to say the sea dragon leviathan, because it's the only one, even with end game equipment, I felt I needed to run away from, and also it shooting it's magma from the volcanic haze is definitely a intimadating factor
Its slow swim speed (unless fleeing) and big turn radius compared to other leviathans makes it the least dangerous imo. Its just intimidating at first but once you are used to them they are pretty chill. Slow speed and turning makes them attack less frequently than others and easiest to evade. Just don't get caught lackin outside your prawn (1 shots a full hp player even with reinforced dive suit with its bite) Edit: also they have 0 stealth, often you can hear them before they even render fully. Same with reapers but ghosts are stealthy until charging
@@damnsonwheredyoufindthis.3830 I don't care if it is slow and easy to get arounds it's still freaking scarry and makes me feel not invincible while in my prawn
Crab squids are a constant threat to me, I always take a route through the lost river to the lava zone wheres theres always at least 2 blocking the way and I hate them for camping that spot 🙃
Also idk where I was but it was deep and relatively close to the edge and one just snuck up on me, no roaring or anything, hot damn if I hadnt turned around both my seamoth and I wouldve died
crash fish number 1. raw attack isn’t very high but in early game when you don’t have a lot of heals it can definitely kill you. it is very sneaky and just looks like a rock. technically they don’t have a lot of health but you never really kill one. they are in almost every cave in the safe shallows. They give a major threat to anybody running by the caves. with all the evidence, it is clear that the crash fish should, in fact be number 1.
As far as I think, Ghosts have more health than Reapers, and Sea Dragons have even more than Ghosts, however, their actual order would still come to the same you explained!!!Nice video..
Let’s be real, once u get a prawn suit the most dangerous thing in the game is starvation and dehydration, and once u get a cyclops and store a bunch of food and water the most dangerous thing is probably just glitches in general, I had a sea dragon I was fighting slap me out of the map and into the void, nothing u can do about that, so I guess u could say the sea dragon is the most dangerous, at least in my case lol
I agree completely, not only are they scary and loud, but they appear at a point where you have have nothing. Plus even the pda puts them at a higher rank
5:15 the ghost leviathan has 8K health, the damage you said is the damage of the adult ghost leviathan the juveniles deal 55 damage. 6:20 there’s 3 sea dragons per world 2 in the ILZ and 1 in the lava lakes.
I vote spadefish, personally. Have you seen what those things can do to a Seamoth?! That said, I would actually put the void ghosts specifically higher than the reapers. The regular ghosts hit once then retreat, so while you're going to have a bad time when you get smacked, you will generally have enough time to get away and heal. The void ghosts, however, are relentless and will NOT STOP until you're either out of the void or dead. Reapers are no doubt amongst the most terrifying and dangerous creatures, but those void ghosts are... scary as hell. Hope your voice gets better soon!
Top 3 1. Ghost Leviathan 2. Sea dragon 3.reaper Reasons for number one, the ghost leviathan can be found in many important places and inflicts a TON OF DAMAGE, it also is relatively stealthy and is really hard to hit with the stasis rifle because of its snake like body, speed, how it moves, and finally you have to aim on the left of its face or else it will be not affected by the stasis rifle. Number 2. Just inflicts a ton of damage is huge. And has multiple ways to attack you, also huge health pool. 3. The reaper will extremely dangerus is easily avoided seeing as how it makes a bunch of noise is huge, red very easy to spot and in many well-known areas for Reapers so like I said easily avoidable.
My list is this. 10. Bleeder biter and blighter. 9. Crash fish. 8. Warpers. 7. Crab squids. 6. The leviathans on the list in the video. 5. Rockpuncher. 4. Brute shark. 3. Stalker. It’s the sneak thing and speed. 2. Snow stalkers. 1. Shadow leviathan.
There are actually 3 sea dragons in the game. 2 are near the lava castle in the lava zone and another one is near the facility where the sea emperor chills.
I had a random theory I think the Peeper is the most dangerous Creature think about it the Emperor Leviathan trained the Peepers to carry small amounts of the Cure But if something else trained them to spread the Kara Virus then everything would be infected and since there is not a way to cure it fully since in the game the Emperor Leviathan is alone and only making a small amount of the Cure idk it was just a random theory I thought of could be right could be wrong You can decide :3 (btw great vid :P )
@@TheLastBacon Yeah but a other random thought I had is What if the Peeper Made the Kharaa Virus? that would surprise anybody in the game big time lol.
@@TheLastBacon Lol, I take it that creatures like old ghostie are more dangerous, as it seems the less numerous leviathan classes are more dangerous due to how hard hitting they are.
@@leonrogers4576 i think ghost leviathans are tougher in a factual manner. However the reaper leviathans tend to reside in areas that are murky/sandy, such as the Dunes or around the Aurora ship. This makes them psychologically terrifying and also unpredictable
Warpers also don't seem aggro at all- I only got attacked once when I was right next to it trying to scan, and it hit me. Also, I wasn't cured whenever I saw warpers except the aftermath of the cure, which was basically riding my cyclops through the LR to the shallows. I think there should have also been an agrro factor, but great vid, as always. Edit: sea dragons literally, see me from miles away ALL THE TIME, no matter what :(. One of the wasted 45 mins of my life by camping my cyclops as I was getting it out of the lakes. However reapers, they barely notice me.
Reapers and the Ghost Leviathans are the only ones that you NEVER HAVE to meet to finish the game. There's nothing you need from the areas here they are at. The only leviathans you meet and have to either avoid or kill are the Ghost Juvenile in the Lost River or the Sea Dragon, in both Lava and Inactive Lava zones.

I'm saying that the most dangerous creature in Subnautica is the sea emperor leviathan since if she were to die before Riley got there the entire ecosystem would have been wiped out from khraa and Riley would have no idea on how or where to go to cure himself and he couldn't since he would have never been able to get the hatching enzyme's recipe to hatch the baby sea emperor's in the first place.
Reaper leviathan is the most dangerous for me in real life, it gave me such awful nightmares that I had to stop playing for almost a year until it felt safe to go back to it!
The most dangerous thing is definitely the seamoth. If you jump out of it while it is moving you are ripped. Actually died 700 metres below water and kinda rage quitted...

I’d actually say the ghost leviathan because I’ve had at least five times where it almost killed my cyclops, which would mean losing hours of gathering since I stored all the rare materials such as kyanite, diamonds, ion cubes etc. But that’s just my opinion. Have a great day to whoever’s reading this! :)
@@owenapplegate374 a good strat is to bring a bunch of batteries on trips to the lost river for example. If you don't mind them being dead forever, you can fully charge up ur stasis rifle and shoot them when they try to ram you. Any other hostile creature also gets frozen and if you aren't comfortable, you can kill the other creatures and go back to stabbing the leviathan. Just make sure you shoot it again before the stasis ends.
I'm guessing sand shark (I think it's the name of it) Because you can find it in safe shallows, They're fast and sometimes can jump on you from back without even noticing. Edit: It's actually named bone shark, typed while watching video Edit 2: Bruh realised it's not what I've thinked of (Looked up on wiki and they're on "Grassy Plateaus" biome. Also I was right that they're named Sandsharks!) My next addon: They deal 30 damage per bite, they're sometimes really fast and sneaky and can easly destroy your seamoth if you get out of it (Because on Grassy Plateaus biome there are alot of wrecks and a crashed lifepod so probably alot of starter players with upraded oxygen tank to 125 or 75 will go check on that wrecks as there's tons of blueprints to unlock) That's all I guess
@@TheLastBacon You're right. I probably thinked of them because every time I see them (even in creative) I'm just shitting my pants. It's movements are really scary. And almost always they jumpscare me
I noticed ghosts are also not as attack driven as the other leviathan. I did not have a major issue until the one I found after warping from the final alien base.
Still the worst leviathan (in terms of how dangerous the encounter is, not overall because of their rarity compared to reapers) to run into imo, due to its speed id say its far more aggressive than a sea dragon leviathan which is the chillest. They are slow swimmers unless fleeing and have a big turn radius, due to those they attack less frequently and are easy to avoid. While from my encounters ghosts are about as aggressive as reaper (may appear bit more chill because of their size but they have similar aggro range, just feels like you can get closer to adult ghosts), attack often due to being agile and quick, hardest to detect due to being the quietest when not aggrod and hardest to hit with stasis rifle(the shots often go through them because the outer membrane doesn't seem to count apparently). All combined 1v1 ghosts are the worst but overall have to give it to reapers due to how many there are, even though they are pretty much fodder if you plan to kill them with rifle and thermo blade, easy to hit and lowest hp
If I was making this list, I would replace "health" with "chance of hitting". Many of the creatures on this list are easily out-maneuverable. I lost far more to lava lizards than anything else since they don't have to catch you to hurt you.
I'm surprised you didn't nominate the gasopods. You encounter it early on, It has insane attack power and range , And they practically surround the safe shallows
I think the most dangerous is the Mesmer. It may be small, but It will take most players by surprise and one shot them, and it’s usually first encountered just outside the safe shallows
the bleeders and the crashfish win the 1st place for the most dangerous creatures in this game. The leviathans are harmless and quite cute if we're talking about crabsquids for example, who look like doofuses :)
Reaper, there’s like 8 of the fuckers that patrol one of the biomes, 2 or so at the ship, and the one at the canon makes be regret building a base in the large alien moon pool.

@@allinairhanson6886 more like 25-50m. I have heard distant roars that range to that degree but none that are heard from a farther distance
You could have included factors like
Aggression ( when will they attack you and how often)
Abilities (eg. Teleportation, fireballs ect.)
Speed
Chance of encounter in story ( chance of running into During story)
Ps. I love your lore videos
Fair enough :) though I tried to cover all of that in the categories I went through.

I agree with this list. I've played through a few times and the reapers still scare the sh*t out of me. Plus there echo location. Oh God the fear
Yep - didn't even mention that part - even lore-wise, reapers are terrifying :)
Yeah true! :) A lot of the top categories could easily change depending on the criteria.
As much as I appreciate the format I just have to say that you've wasted an opportunity to make a tier list!
Well I mean - it's basically a tier list :D - might still do that in the future.
My Top Ten:
1. Sea Dragon Leviathan
2. Reaper Leviathan
3. Ghost Leviathan
4. Bone Shark
5. Warper
6. Crab Squid
7. Bleeders
8. Crash Fish
9. River Prowlers
10. Crab Snakes
Definitely a very reasonable list :) though I'd probably put bleeders lower in the ranking.
My #1 is Reaper due to its extreme aggro.
If you where to put the Sea Dragon directly up against a Reaper the Reaper would win because it attacks considerably more often.
Am I the only one that read bleeder as peeper
@@Fearless13468 subnautica should fix that because sea dragon Leviathan is a predator of reaper
For me, the ghost Leviathans for some reason were really chill with me
I was almost 2 meters away from one and he didn’t do anything
Oh nice :) maybe they want to be friends!
@@charlesg7926 oh ok thank you! I knew they were slower and did less damage but I thought they had the same AI as the adults, thanks for the tip!
Luckily the ghosts from around the map rarely follow you "inland" :)
Glad you enjoyed :) And I believe you're right!
I honestly feel that the Sea Dragon is the least dangerous because they are so big and can take sooo long to get to you
I kinda think that if you asked the average Subnautica player from which creature they died the most, the Crashfish would be mentioned. High damage, very early in the game, and you can't really see it coming.
Just my opinion :)
That's fair :) though I'd probably classify them as more annoying than dangerous.
@@TheLastBacon well yes, but for early game they can be average threats. Definitely more than Stalkers or Sandsharks. Great video!!!
The most dangerous being in subnautica, at least in my experience, is the seamoth, I've died twice to it when I tried to escape at high speeds and a few other times took alot of damage.
Haha the seamoth is definitely dangerous! :)
@@TheLastBacon - maybe you could do a video on the true dangers of the vehicles, the cyclops can just throw you far into the air if you’re not careful
True :) I think a warper's danger level can definitely vary greatly - but it's because of their lack of consistency why I put them so low.
Inside of my play through i never got attacked by a reaper. Every time I had to go near them I literally got a stasis rifle and killed it.
Damn, pretty impressive :) most players have at least that one - first death!
The Last Bacon I just watched videos on subnactica and realized stay away from them.
I usually kill them too, including ghost leviathans sometimes. Exception iswhen i can't be bothered because the location isn't really important.
Also couldn't be bothered to kill the dunes ones when exploring it because there is 8 of then there and i was getting sick of it after just killing 2 in a row.
This guy is the second reason why I installed a mod for the seamoth to be able to go down there and have explosive torpedos
Hope you get well soon my dude 😢
Thank you very much :)
It's actually the Drooping Stingers, for me. Specifically in the Jellyshroom biome base. Misplaced hit boxes that are nowhere near what I'm seeing on screen, that's mind numbingly stressful and frustrating.
They can be surprisingly damaging :)
Yeah that is certainly a fair argument :)
That is a fair point :) but I feel like they're usually easy to stay away from.
No Stalker?! They'd rank high as they are sneaky, you encounter them very early on, and they are pretty common...
I definitely considered putting them on :) I could totally see someone else ranking them higher!
Definitely in hardcore runs :D I hate those things so much!
The Moment you mentioned the criteria I already knew the reapers would take top spots. Those are right cheeky bastards those reapers. My current playthrough is actually a reaper-hunter. Right now im on 5 dead reapers.
Damn, talk about badass :) is your character's name Doom guy or something?
@@TheLastBacon I follow your guides. lol
The only disagreement I have is your rating of the Crabsnake's stealth. Sure it's bright pink, but it's in a bright pink biome, giving it camouflage. Also, they tend to hide in the mushrooms, meaning they could be *anywhere*.
That is definitely a fair point :) that environment helps them blend in quite a bit!
Should have included speed and aggression as factors. Great video either way
Fair enough :) thank you though!
The blood leech has killed me more than any other creature! Impossible to see. So so serious! great video! Thank you!
Thank you very much :) and yeah, they can be surprisingly lethal as well!
oh hi, I almost ate the last bacon then I realized I was vegetarian.
Haha I thank you for not eating the last of my kind :)
In my opinion, ghost leviathans are the most dangerous bc they are everywhere I go, they are in the most important places you have to go, reapers aren't much necessary to encounter in the game, I only needed to encounter a reaper one time
Well reapers are much more common than ghosts :) Also in more important locations like the aurora, dunes or mountains!
I couldn't watch this video immediately because UA-cam doesn't load at lightspeed
Oh well :) maybe in the future!
That is a fair argument about the ghost roar, I just ranked them lower because there are way more reapers in the map :)
there are actually 3 sea dragons, 2 in the inactive lavazone and one in the active lavazone.btw get better :)
True, my bad - forgot about the other one in the ilz :)
... I’m lonely
Me with my stasis rifle and survival knife is the most dangerous creature if a leviathan bites me it dies.
Haha fair enough :)
The scariest creature in subnautica....is you...i mean you can kill everything, but besides that it's the kirra bacteria. It will probably kill all the creatures on the planet.
Fair enough :) I suppose the player is the most terrifying of all the creatures.
Before I watch this I’m going to guess the peeper leviathan
Now I’m imagining a giant peeper
True - that is the ultimate being :)
woah i really appreciate that you still made a video while being sick. good job :)
Thank you :)
The problem with ranking creatures in subnautica is the fact that subnautica plays on terror hence why the reaper and ghost leviathans or so loud its to scare you thats why they swim of into the darkness after it attacks it makes you think it'll come back out of the darkness so you should be ranking them by terror
That could also be a cool ranking :)
Shiiidddd the reaper leviathan doesn’t leave me until I’m dead or until I outrun it, lol
And let’s admit subnautica is one of those great original games like left of dead that don’t shove the story down ur throat but instead leave little Easter eggs hints or dialogue to explain and give detail to their world but they also tend to run out of content for lore
True :) that's definitely what's so appealing about its narrative to me.
Ikr
I’m glad you didn’t make the encounters in vehicles, because that just makes it incredibly complicated.
Like, the warper can warp you out of them, the reaper can two shot the sea moth but if your in the prawn your fine, the dragon deletes whatever you put infront of it, it just makes it complicated
Yeah that really adds a layer of complexity to this :)
Mesmer and crashfish watching this video:Am I a joke to you?
Haha both can certainly be dangerous :)
Another great video, Bacon! However, there's actually 3 Sea Dragons, not 2. There's two in the Inactive Lava Zone and one in the Lava Lakes.
Thank you :) and you're right, I forgot about the 2nd one in the Inactive Lava Zone.
"There are quite a few reapers around the aurora" when I explored, I saw no reapers, I was ambushed by a pack of 10 adult ghost leviathans while looking for one of the lifepods.
Don't know whether that's lucky or extremely unlucky :)
There are 3 ghost leviathan adults in the entire map wut
The reaper also has a bite attack. And it can grab you Seamoth, easily making it #1
101cooler Watercooler it can still grab the seamoth if you’re in creative mode
True :) that attack always gives me a heart-attack.
Yeah the reaper might be loud making it easy to notice but it's so scary that you are probably going to freak out and get yourself killed if you aren't used to reaper encounters
YAY a new video! i have seen all of your subnuatica lore vids
Yay :) thank you for the dedication!
Although the game says the sea dragon leviathan is one of the most if not the most aggressive entity in the game it’s actually very easy to avoid and most times it’s not big to turn or out maneuver u if it became hostile to u
True :) I didn't take AI into consideration here - but they do seem to actually be pretty chill in the game overall.
I haven't finished the video and I haven't read the comments, but in my opinion the Sea Dragon Leviathan is the most dangerous because they deal a lot of damage, and a single Sea Dragon Leviathan managed to destroy a precursor base...and release the Kharaa bacteria.
They are certainly up there and, depending on your criteria - could easily be n1! :)
I would have to say the sea dragon leviathan, because it's the only one, even with end game equipment, I felt I needed to run away from, and also it shooting it's magma from the volcanic haze is definitely a intimadating factor
Fair enough :) I respect that opinion.
Its slow swim speed (unless fleeing) and big turn radius compared to other leviathans makes it the least dangerous imo. Its just intimidating at first but once you are used to them they are pretty chill.
Slow speed and turning makes them attack less frequently than others and easiest to evade. Just don't get caught lackin outside your prawn (1 shots a full hp player even with reinforced dive suit with its bite)
Edit: also they have 0 stealth, often you can hear them before they even render fully. Same with reapers but ghosts are stealthy until charging
@@damnsonwheredyoufindthis.3830 I don't care if it is slow and easy to get arounds it's still freaking scarry and makes me feel not invincible while in my prawn

Also idk where I was but it was deep and relatively close to the edge and one just snuck up on me, no roaring or anything, hot damn if I hadnt turned around both my seamoth and I wouldve died
Yeah - those crabsquids can be particularly annoying because of how tight the area is :)
crash fish number 1.
raw attack isn’t very high but in early game when you don’t have a lot of heals it can definitely kill you.
it is very sneaky and just looks like a rock.
technically they don’t have a lot of health but you never really kill one.
they are in almost every cave in the safe shallows.
They give a major threat to anybody running by the caves. with all the evidence, it is clear that the crash fish should, in fact be number 1.
Solid argument :)
Least they're the ones that've given ME the biggest headaches.
As far as I think, Ghosts have more health than Reapers, and Sea Dragons have even more than Ghosts, however, their actual order would still come to the same you explained!!!Nice video..
Thank you :) I'm pretty sure you're right about their health!
"Able to tame reapers with peepers "
Me: "perhaps I was too harsh" (glances over at the last reaper in existance)
Haha never too harsh on reapers :D
Let’s be real, once u get a prawn suit the most dangerous thing in the game is starvation and dehydration, and once u get a cyclops and store a bunch of food and water the most dangerous thing is probably just glitches in general, I had a sea dragon I was fighting slap me out of the map and into the void, nothing u can do about that, so I guess u could say the sea dragon is the most dangerous, at least in my case lol
You're certainly not wrong :) the Cyclops and Prawn suit make you mostly invincible.
I agree completely, not only are they scary and loud, but they appear at a point where you have have nothing. Plus even the pda puts them at a higher rank
Yep, very true :) I think a part of what makes them so terrifying is how unprepared the player is at the point of meeting them.
5:15 the ghost leviathan has 8K health, the damage you said is the damage of the adult ghost leviathan the juveniles deal 55 damage. 6:20 there’s 3 sea dragons per world 2 in the ILZ and 1 in the lava lakes.
True yeah :)

They sure are :)
@@TheLastBacon Would an aroused Bone Shark be called a Boner Shark?
I vote spadefish, personally. Have you seen what those things can do to a Seamoth?!
That said, I would actually put the void ghosts specifically higher than the reapers. The regular ghosts hit once then retreat, so while you're going to have a bad time when you get smacked, you will generally have enough time to get away and heal. The void ghosts, however, are relentless and will NOT STOP until you're either out of the void or dead. Reapers are no doubt amongst the most terrifying and dangerous creatures, but those void ghosts are... scary as hell.
Hope your voice gets better soon!
Thank you :) I can definitely see how you would rank the adult ghosts high - those things are freaking terrifying.
i love how you reply to almost every comment in your video's. Its a rare thing :)
Thank you :)
Top 3
1. Ghost Leviathan
2. Sea dragon
3.reaper
Reasons for number one, the ghost leviathan can be found in many important places and inflicts a TON OF DAMAGE, it also is relatively stealthy and is really hard to hit with the stasis rifle because of its snake like body, speed, how it moves, and finally you have to aim on the left of its face or else it will be not affected by the stasis rifle.
That's fair enough :) though there really aren't that many ghosts in the game from what I remember.

8. Warpers.
7. Crab squids.
6. The leviathans on the list in the video.
5. Rockpuncher.
4. Brute shark.
3. Stalker. It’s the sneak thing and speed.
2. Snow stalkers.
1. Shadow leviathan.
I mean - if I started including creatures from Below Zero :) I'd probably put Shadow on n1 too.
There are actually 3 sea dragons in the game. 2 are near the lava castle in the lava zone and another one is near the facility where the sea emperor chills.
Yep, true :) did I say a wrong number?
I had a random theory I think the Peeper is the most dangerous Creature think about it the Emperor Leviathan trained the Peepers to carry small amounts of the Cure But if something else trained them to spread the Kara Virus then everything would be infected and since there is not a way to cure it fully since in the game the Emperor Leviathan is alone and only making a small amount of the Cure idk it was just a random theory I thought of could be right could be wrong You can decide :3 (btw great vid :P )
I think you're technically correct :) but then again - it would be more of Kharaa being dangerous than the peeper being dangerous.
@@TheLastBacon Yeah but a other random thought I had is What if the Peeper Made the Kharaa Virus? that would surprise anybody in the game big time lol.

Reapers seem to be very easy to avoid tho

Yeah you're right, occasionally the warpers act very passive :)
Unless you count the reaper a the front of the Aurora :)
@@TheLastBacon 99.999% of the time, it's too far away and you can easily enter the wreck. I sometimes see it in the distance and that's it. If you're curious what it is, they yes, it's a very dangerous creature. If not... who cares about them :)
Well I'd say that doesn't make it dangerous :) More like "risky".
Reaper leviathan is the most dangerous for me in real life, it gave me such awful nightmares that I had to stop playing for almost a year until it felt safe to go back to it!
I understand :) the reapers still give me creeps after all this time!
The most dangerous thing is definitely the seamoth. If you jump out of it while it is moving you are ripped. Actually died 700 metres below water and kinda rage quitted...
Haha true that :) surprisingly dangerous at high speeds!
How did you find this comment among all of the others? :D
I feel that the way it attacks and it's speed is also a major factor in the danger
Good point :)

Fair enough :) it was definitely hard to decide between the top 3 spots, and have a great day as well!

I'm guessing sand shark (I think it's the name of it) Because you can find it in safe shallows, They're fast and sometimes can jump on you from back without even noticing.
Edit: It's actually named bone shark, typed while watching video
Edit 2: Bruh realised it's not what I've thinked of (Looked up on wiki and they're on "Grassy Plateaus" biome. Also I was right that they're named Sandsharks!)
My next addon:
They deal 30 damage per bite, they're sometimes really fast and sneaky and can easly destroy your seamoth if you get out of it (Because on Grassy Plateaus biome there are alot of wrecks and a crashed lifepod so probably alot of starter players with upraded oxygen tank to 125 or 75 will go check on that wrecks as there's tons of blueprints to unlock)
That's all I guess
It is a fair argument :) Then again I'd say they're fairly easy to dodge with anything faster than just the regular fins.
Yeah unless you're in the void I guess ;)
Bone shark can attack in groups in certain areas. Under the floating islands at the bottom they got me.
Yep that's true :)
If I was making this list, I would replace "health" with "chance of hitting". Many of the creatures on this list are easily out-maneuverable. I lost far more to lava lizards than anything else since they don't have to catch you to hurt you.
That's definitely a respectable choice :) if I had included that, I could see some changes to the list!
The sea dragon seeing me swim up to it and pull out a stasis rifle and a bunch of fart orbs from a gasopod: oh, guess I’ll die
Haha driving them to extinction huh? :)
@@TheLastBacon precisely, main because I was bored
It's obviously the peeper leading you to things like the reaper or those DARN BOMB FISH
Peeper is indisputably the most dangerous creature :)
5. Reaper
4. Reaper
3. Reaper
4. Reaper
1. Alterra
A solid list I must say :)
I'm surprised you didn't nominate the gasopods.
You encounter it early on,
It has insane attack power and range ,
And they practically surround the safe shallows
You're not wrong :) they are very dangerous for sure, just felt like they are a bit too easy to avoid.
@@TheLastBacon fair
I think the most dangerous is the Mesmer. It may be small, but It will take most players by surprise and one shot them, and it’s usually first encountered just outside the safe shallows
They can be quite dangerous for sure :) But I don’t think they usually one-shot right?
the bleeders and the crashfish win the 1st place for the most dangerous creatures in this game. The leviathans are harmless and quite cute if we're talking about crabsquids for example, who look like doofuses :)
Crashfish undoubtedly win the 1st place for number of heart attacks given :D ....and I don't think anyone could argue with bleeders being a huge pain!
Reaper, there’s like 8 of the fuckers that patrol one of the biomes, 2 or so at the ship, and the one at the canon makes be regret building a base in the large alien moon pool.
Yep....one of the reasons why I stay as far away from the Aurora as possible :)
It's obviously that one rabbit ray that destroyed your Seamoth after running away from a Reaper attack.
Haha obviously :) Sneaky rabbit rays!
@@TheLastBacon Now that I think about it, I'm lucky my Seamoth hasn't broken yet, especially that one time I accidentally wandered into the void and got hit down to
@@TheLastBacon News update: I actually got much, much more unlucky than that.
I went to the Lost River for the first time on Sunday. All was going well until I found the main entrance to the Lava Zone. I got out of my Seamoth and dove into the hole until 1km. I was distracted scanning all the new things when the J. Ghost Leviathan rammed my Seamoth and glitched it under the ground and below the depth limit, destroying it.
Thankfully it was my secondary one (I only had the depth upgrade) and I had my Cyclops!!
