Stuffed Bombay Duck Ingredients:-
6 large Bombay ducks (cleaned, deboned and flattened)
½ tsp. Salt
½ tsp. Turmeric Powder
½ cup Rice Flour
½ cup Semolina
Oil for frying
For the filling:-
300 gms. Tiny Prawns
2 large Onions, chopped
2 Green Chillies, crushed
1 tbsp. Garlic crushed
½ tsp. Turmeric Powder
1 tsp. Chilli Powder
1 tbsp. Lemon Juice
4 tbsp. Coriander Leaves
2 tbsp. Oil
Salt, as required
Method:-
- In a wok heat oil and add onions and stir fry on high flame.
- Now add crushed garlic and green chilies to it. Cook until the raw smell goes away.
- Then add the prawns, turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander leaves, salt, lemon juice and mix well. Turn the flame off and let the mixture cool down to room temperature.
- Marinate the Bombay Ducks with turmeric powder and lemon juice.
- Assemble as shown in the video.
- Make a mixture of rice flour and semolina and coat the stuffed bombay ducks with it.
- In a pan heat oil and fry them seam side down, as shown in the video.
Stuffed Bombil is ready to eat!

paxton pinto bombil is extremely difficult to manage even if toothpick is used.
Yes its difficult...but first u need to remove water from bombil..for that keep some weight on the clean bombil ( u should add salt ths time not after removing water) for at least 10 minutes ...and then marinate with the masala..…this is the way we do in mumbai ..ths helps..
Keep it under huge weight for some hours. The water will come off
