I think being caught using your phone in a vehicle should attract a 1 month automatic ban, as well as a £200 fine, AND 6 points on your licence.
It wouldnt make a single bit of difference. It could be a £10k fine a years ban and still people would do it.
I think surrendering your sim car for 6 months would be a far greater punishment for most people.

The camera van at around 3:00 is one used in roadworks, it is not 'masquerading' as anything as it is clearly marked for what it is.

I will say that honking someone who hasnt inconvenienced you in any way is no better than what they may have done. You're just making a hassle out of nothing. If they do something with no indication and without looking thats different.

To be fair with regards the motorhome, at 3.5 tonnes, they are not easy to "stop on a dime". If the lights were changing at the point the van was approaching he could have easily run through that. As the video doesnt show the vehicle in motion, you cannot assume they've just not bothered to stop before the line. It doesnt excuse the 20 second delay in setting off, but I can believe the need for someone to toot their horn.

The law doesn't excuse any driver regardless of their vehicle for not anticipating that a "stale green" can change at any time. Failure to anticipate the same is still 3 points and a fine if you go through it ..... and get caught by the fuzz 👮♂
If you can't safely drive it, you shouldn't be driving it.

It is about time unmarked speed camera vans were used. Many years ago when I served in Germany speed detector vehicles were marked as ice cream vans etc

I've seen that bloke on the scooter. I very nearly sent him to hospital at Morrison's roundabout with him going across the front of my car without even slowing down. If I hadn't have performed an emergency stop, he would have been a goner.

Mine is on there, the white van at the beginning, its a lot closer than it looks on cam and he nearly hit the on coming car Edit. 2 of mine are on there lol
I respectfully disagree with the caption for the video at 5:46. None of those cars jumped the red light as they were all beyond the STOP line waiting to turn right. It looks like badly timed lights not giving enough time for the junction to clear before turning green (I have a couple of sets like this near me)
yeah sometimes it happens. But at 5:47 that white car on the right didn't need to go. It's far enough back and given it was there at this point when the cam car was literally green, it ran a very late red light. But we've all done it :D

8:55 totally petty, cmon. Car is miles away, so other car being there first with nothing to give way to actually gives them right of way. Otherwise how long does one have to wait for some car in the distance??
@8:56 you ( or whomever) is miles from the prioritised entry, the car cammer complaining about was just leaving. He entered before you were in sight. But generally some of the impatience and phone use these days !!!

Phone use appears to be on the increase, despite the fact that the number of cars with full Bluetooth and WiFi integration as standard is also on the increase!
I mean, it’s only been illegal to hand hold a communications device for 20 years, what harm can it do if I send a quick text, right?!
Let’s be honest, you can buy a Bluetooth headset for less than £20, so please define your reasoning for killing a child whilst not looking where you were going for the sake of a text/call that could have waited for 10 minutes……… GO ON!

The 2-second audio mute was an edit by me to remove the long beep the camera makes when it confirms the video has been saved
That traffic light at 5:30 looks misleading to me. Isn't that a green arrow to the left? If so, who was the red traffic light for?
The green arrow is for traffic going straight on and the red light was for people turning right 🤣🤦♂️ if you can’t tell that, get off the roads

I watch a lot of dashcam footage. If it's not illegal it would be great if number plates were highlighted of phone users.
You can stand in the street recording traffic on your phone, it’s not illegal as you and they are in a public place.
If a driver passes you on the phone and you catch them doing it, you can literally walk to the cop shop and hand the footage over and they may choose to prosecute….. or not 🤦🏼♂️
If you choose to publish the video on social media, then the police won’t be interested as long as the video is publicly available, as it may taint any jury’s opinion of the accused, so you’d have to take the video down before giving it to the police.
…… or you could do what I do and leave it up for all to see in perpetuity, purely for educational and entertainment purposes 😉
People really need to have a lesson on when to sound the horn

The channel is primarily about entertainment and education. I can’t comment on submitted material, but in regards my own footage, if it was sent to PC Plod then you wouldn’t see it appear on the channel for about 6 months.
