I’m getting this phone I like to stand out from the crowd, and not have what everyone else have, and when I had my blackberry passport, everyone kept asking about it and loved it. It reminds me of the passport with a bigger screen. I have the latest Samsung and the new iPhone, but I would use this all the time and you don’t have to have a case just get a screen protector and your good. I’m getting it hands down..this was an excellent review floss!!

The "feel of the phone" explanation is very real. I got a Keyone. Lag fest, but hard to give up cause I feel so grown up having it. I didn't have one during the heyday, but I see why people love it. And the looks I get! "What kid of phone is that?" I love it.
Blackberry is trying to straddle the line between the average social media user and the Enterprise business person...I think it's a difficult balancing act but they're getting there.
The story to this phone...improved in many areas, but the price is WAY too high. I don't know why they couldn't have used a brighter panel. I think more people wouldn't mind this device IF the price wasn't so high. It's a no brainer when it drops to the $450-$500 range. Hopefully, a Priv 2 with the same keyboard, SD 845 is around the corner to appease enthusiasts.

I know how you feel Floss. I had a BB Curve and then a Bold when they came out, LOVED them. I had a job that required a suit and I did feel a lil bossish pulling out my BB. I just can't get with the 2 year old specs. 2018 phone should gave 2018 specs!
RagingUtai, I was actually referring to the Bold when I had it. The Key2 has a decent processor but for $650 they could've put in an 845 or at least an 835. Having a slower processor is fine, but the price should reflect that. $500 is where it should be.

I just spent a month researching phones and finally bought a key2 128 Gb international phone. Needed a secure phone for business. It does have special features for security. Double sim card. Blackphone2 isn't a smart phone. But has Great security. That's why the Key2 works for me. Good review good and bad. I bought it for the security not the other stuff.
It's kind of sad to see a company like bb going nearly obsolete. Time has changed and their mind set didn't catch up or evolve in time. Great video again boss.

I have the Samsung flip and bought this as a second phone for another account I have. I only paid $452 for it and I love it. Typing on this is better than typing on touch screen. I'm typing this comment on it now, feels so satisfying. This phone is great for productivity especially if you are using it for business or if you do a lot of typing.
A BlackBerry fan made me not to buy a Key2, now this is a REAL review not marketing. I was considering for the keyboard and battery (they said 2days), but the disavantages are greater than the pros (for me at least).

Thanks for the Review Flossy, bought myself a new Samsung S8+ when they first come out, leaving my Blackberry Passport, now less than a year I am back to my Passport (with Google Playstore thanks to Colbalt on Crackberry), its the Feel of a Keyboard and the attachment. The Samsung S8+ I liked but felt more like me using my Passport. I am now looking at The Key2 BlackBerry only because Its true Android for Apps to run smoothly. Thanks Flossy!

All the reasons why I still have my Keyone. Feels more like a Blackberry to me and they are trying less to compete with the big flagships. Keyone is priced low and if you get the 64GB Black Edition then you are good to go. As my backup phone I still have a fully functioning Blackberry Classic. Who knows maybe they will get it right with the Key3?

I remember I saved up for a month 8 years ago for a smartphone, I got the 8330 curve. I remember I was able to do school work on the bus and it just felt so natural. When I got the iPhone 5 when it came out, I missed the keyboard. I was mad I saved all summer for it. I even ordered a Bluetooth case. I agree the price is high but I can get it used for a couple hundred less, it’s a done deal. Thank you for the review!

I like what you said about how the phone feels, that is important as it is a personal device and few reviewers mention that. Back in the day I had a Bold, I like this phone but not enough to part with so much money. If it were around 400+ dollars I think it would be worth it as there are too many compromises for 600 or even 500.
Why worry? When I drove the ambulance for 10 years, I had to drive with a radio in my hand, and now I drive with a soda or a sandwich in my hand. Same thing lol You don't have to look at are phones viewfinder when Recording, you just hold the phone and edit the video after.

I use the productivity tab and find it helpful and though some launch Google Assistant (you can easily use voice command) from the convenience button, I use the convenience key exclusively for the phone launcher and obviously use it more often. Rarely experience pocket dials and it is ready to go at any moment. I don't even have to look at the screen or keyboard to launch the phone. Perfect.

Phone request to check out would be the Nokia 3.1 was able to pick up one at Best Buy for 100 bucks since I bundled it with a cricket sim kit and refill card. Really solid and sleak looking phone for that price. No flagship but I'd say it beats any Blu phone out there.

The rules of supply & demand will affect the pricetag obviously. Having used the Keyone for a year now, I realize I wouldnt switch it out for any phone other than the K2. So Ill raise my hat to Blackberry and shell out the dough. Love the design. Angular, clean, even a bit sporty. Where the K1 looked a bit quirky, the K2 simply looks badass.

BTW Floss the HUB is awesome and as widget can be placed left of Home screen so just a swipe to the left for HUB. Also the productivity tab is a another great feature as you can have quick access to serious KEY info you need!

Great review! I want to return to the BB phone, and Key 2 seems appropriate to me. I used 9000 & 9900 before. They were wonderful memory.

Did you happen to get Android 8.1 update. I noticed a huge improvement to the KEYone lag issues afterwards. (Just ordered the KeY2 though)

BTW Floss the HUB is awesome and as widget can be placed left of Home screen so just a swipe to the left for HUB. Also the productivity tab is a another great feature as you can have quick access to serious KEY info you need!
