Seen a bunch of retro tech from other YTers giving facts and details about the tech, but flossy having personal stories feels so much more authentic. Flossy is def the 🐐 story teller. Keep doing what you do my G 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾
33 minutes in... Floss, we need one of these videos at least once a month. Just Floss, talking about any random shit... The old school tech is just a bonus! 😂
Floss going from a 2 minute real review video for the Palm Pre phone to a video of 2 hours that's INSANE! I am very sorry to not know you personally, because I truly value a person who has that amount of passion for tech! I definitely want more retro videos, these are the solid ground for your delightful UA-cam channel. Keep doing what you've started! 🔥
I could have watched this for hours. The story time with Floss is top tier. You gotta keep these going! Fun fact, I'm so old I actually remember the bag phone because my uncle was always the tech guy and he used to work at Bell South lol He used to bring me big boxes of phone wire and that's what me and my girls used to use as double dutch ropes back in the day. Those were the good ole days 😂
I discovered Floss from the HTC Evo video! I made my husband watch it with me and we both were hooked! Hubby even bought the Evo after watching his review!!! This brings back so many memories.
Crazy how a pair of hands, a table and a cat can make you keep watching this quick videos. You need to make this Story time with Uncle Floss at least monthly. Cheers.
Legendary New York stories bro. I grew up fmin Georgia in the 80s (and 90s) but I can still relate to these stories. Back then Georgia wanted to be just like New York lol. Yall set the fashion standards, the culture, the lingo, etc. from a hip hop perspective as well. 💯
Bro, I love this video. Story time with Floss is so dope. I’m listening at work so I can’t be taking shots with you, but this is such a nostalgic video. Loving it, brother
This is the kind of stuff that differentiates this man from everyone else on UA-cam, he loves his audience and he will more so than not accommodate what his subscribers want to see and I love it. He will do simple and effective tech, and on a side note I hope he does one soon with multiple items, And soon I hope he does another gym bag review. For me it isn't so much the fact that he has whatever he has in his gym bag, or even the simple and effective tech videos, like this one he's doing, but honestly it's his style that keeps you engaged and captivated, not to mention his oftentimes hilarious humor. Thank you Mr Carter for always providing us with detailed videos, and always looking forward to whatever it is you present. I hope I speak for everyone when I say that you are greatly appreciated.
Half of the retro phones I remember seeing throughout my childhood and owned a few of them. Story Time with Uncle Floss and taking a look at retro tech is so dope! Definitely would love to see more videos like this! Salute!! 🫡
Best way to start off my Monday with some Uncle Floss stories. Whether this has 1 view or 2mil, I’ll always be watching my boy ESPECIALLY story times ✊🏿
Floss is my dude. Hes got the gift to gab. Now i know people that got that same gift and i wanna stick my head in an oven. Floss has you hanging on every word and paints the whole picture to the story. Bless this mans heart. We also roughly the same age so i do relate to his days.
Floss. You GOTTA do a 2 mil subscriber video! I know you don’t really focus on that but it’s a huge milestone. I started watching back when you had 150k subs. Anyway, just wanted to say congrats and thanks for all the smart purchases I made thanks to your “real reviews”.
Loved this vid and all the stories Floss! It’s funny how the Dyna Tac (brick phone) actually came out before the bag phone. In some ways old phones were more fun than today’s. They were so much more than just a rectangle screen with cameras back in the day… there were all kinds of different shapes, sizes, and colors. I also remember modifying phones around the time MicroTac Lite came out… I had clears cases (the actual shell of the phone, not the protective cases we put on smartphones now), LED lights, even gold antennas😂
I don’t always get to comment but I watch every video and have been for probably 10 years now. This is my favorite, where we get to hear some of your stories and just shoot the shit together 😂 I’m sure everyone would love more of these! Keep killing it bro 💪🏼🤝🏼
Floss is legitimately inspiring. All of this works because he's never lost his enthusiasm for technology. After all these years doing phones, he never phones it in and is always honest. Merry Christmas, Floss.
Uncle Floss, please never change. This trip down memory lane was awesome. I had a Novatel bag phone in the early 90s and I can't believe I ever carried that monstrosity 😂 I also had the Moto StarTac, and I definitely remember texting with it, although it may have been tied to my AOL account 🤓 Thanks for this and enjoy your vacation.
Love the story about your pops! I remember my dad wearing this huge video tape recorder on his shoulder, that was plugged into a video camera. It looked like a mini suitcase on his shoulder. Great stuff Floss!
Story Time with Uncle Floss kicks ass! Thanks for taking me back to the old school my brother!!! I had the StarTac back in the day. The antenna did swing out on mine. It was way ahead of its time back then.
I love this! When you started talkin about your Pops and the video camera I kept thinkin about my Dad's video camera and wondering if they were the same. Then you said it.... "You put a VHS tape right into the camera." Same here Floss! We're like long lost brothers!😂
Family, this video is nostalgic! My mom's was the first with the bag phone in the hood. I made the mistake of actually using it trying to floss, that bill was so high I thought she was going to kill me. Then I went to college at FAMU, and we sold Motorola brick phones for $100, but we called it cloning a number. The phone would work for about a month, and college kids loved it because they could pocket there phone plan money their parents were paying for. Dang man, you brought back memories.
Maaan!! This really took me back. I was the guy out of my crew who always kept the new phone tech. I had the bag phone, zapped Motorola, Treo 600, StarTac, first iPhone, Nextel chirp phone. Keep the retro tech coming Floss!!
Damn floss this was awesome hearing from your back in the days story those were good times im glad i was a kid in the 80's and 90's best era ever never can't be duplicate again but i would love a part 2 💪🏽😌
Amazing video, if anything it needs to bring longer! It didn't feel like 1 hour at all and that just shows how great your content is. Those stories had me on the edge of my seat and they were pretty wholesome.
Said it ages ago... we need chilling with Floss aka Uncle Floss stories. Min 1.5 hours. I can definitely confirm the zapping, a friend had it and I remember everyone making free calls, I made international calls. Can't wait for the next story. Thank you Floss. Going to sleep now with this on repeat.
I've been watching floss since early 2019, and this has to be the best video I've seen. Also crazy how everyone else be having 8K cameras and whole camera crews and yet floss still keeps up with a cat and a table 😂
Floss, this episode was amazing! I loved the stories, the tech was a little something nice on the side. Whatever the tech product is, I wanna hear your stories you have with that product, keep making these! Cheers! 🙏
What a great throw back!!! My first phone was Christmas 1999 it was the Motorola Timeport in silver color, it came after the StarTec. My parents got it for me to keep in contact during school, and I was one of the few kids in school that had a phone!! I had all kinds of crazy events that took place because of that but I made good business out of kids needing to make a call and my parents were impressed I was making money off of it.... It was one of the first phones with a WAP text internet but the service company never enabled it. I was also one of the first at school with internet when you could side load Opera Mini on Nokia phones and get very slow internet I think it was 2005 to 2007, every time I whipped it out people's minds EXPLODED when they saw FULL internet on a phone. That fun ended in 2007-2008 with the iPhone. I think the first video of yours I watched might have been the Note 4.
I watch you more than I watch Netflix, Disney+, or HBO Max. I tell all my friends about your channel. I tell them this dude is crazy entertaining and he does it all without graphics or special effects or fancy editing. I'd love a video if you explain some of the economics of your channel. Like how do you afford to keep so many phones. Like you got multiple versions of the same phone just in different colors!?! Anyways, I appreciate you and your channel. Merry Xmas.
I'm already 5 minutes into this story and it feels LEGENDARY. It's so captivating that it should be turned into a movie or a Netflix series like Yellowstone or something. It feels like this could only happen in New York, over here. People in the NYC could tell a story. I love this $#!t
Floss as always your hilarious man and just how hyped up you get into your stories makes me laugh and remedies some of the old tech that I used to mess with
Roflmao. I had it all myself. Had 2 vhs camcorders. I had a permanent mount and bag phone. Also, the Motorola StarTac was my favorite when we went to digital networks. Brought back great memories . Thanks for sharing 👍 ❤
Loved this please do more, I had many of these phones, really liked the Palm Pilot with the wireless charging puck! You could open up a retro museum with all that old tech. Glad you saved it !
The most amazing thing I think is that I too remember it taking just 20 minutes from Far Rock to Jamaica! Those were the days! Love this Floss. Crazy memories bro.
Some of these phones took me back to my days of always of being the first person amongst my good friends with the latest. Trip down memory lane for sure!
Flossy your a real person going down memory lane and I can watch and listen to you for hours. You a funny , heartfelt truth and the things we did in our youth is absolutely crazy, how we got thru this crap is amazing.
Such a classic the brick phone I got one for my brother he had a tow truck business. I love this old tech video. So much much brings back to great memories ❤❤❤❤
Need more story time with floss videos. Gave me nostalgia showing those htc phones. HTC was the top dawg when it came to android phones. Google was also with its G1 and G2 and I remember I had a G2 and rooted the phone to overclock the processor from 1 ghz to like 1.5 ghz and got it to run an HTC UI. Damn I miss those days.
We need story time with floss Fridays after dark take us through live of flossy from bk to qns days. im definitely tuning in for that stab story . gotta bring back simple but effective tech, and we need a part of this segment! this was a major , major, major , major go!!
🔥 Thanks for sharing! I had a big white '88 Riviera beater back in the day that I pulled outta the parking lot and the whole back-right wheel fell right off. Just left it there and called some boys club to donate it. 😂
It's been years since I've watched a flossy carter video, and Im so glad I watched this one 😂😂😂, no matter what he went into he could make it work, such vibrant personality. Keep doing your thing bro

Story Time with Uncle Floss needs to be a thing. Outside of incorporating the retro tech, we here. No meat boys allowed
Flossy pulling out 20 years old phones talking about "let me see if it powers up" 😂😂 what a legend
I would be shocked if they did...I have basically the 1st Galaxy phone (Galaxy Media Player).
It quit turning on years ago.
🤣
😂😂😂
My first phone Motorola Star Tec
Seen a bunch of retro tech from other YTers giving facts and details about the tech, but flossy having personal stories feels so much more authentic. Flossy is def the 🐐 story teller. Keep doing what you do my G 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾
40 minutes in and I’m dying laughing. Could’ve EASILY watched 5+ hours of this stuff Floss. Definitely bring this back for a round 2
Episode 2 has to be pagers & 2-ways. This is epic, Floss.

Floss, is a G in storytelling. Wonderful stories you're telling and I love the history of the items with his Pops.
Legendary New York stories bro. I grew up fmin Georgia in the 80s (and 90s) but I can still relate to these stories. Back then Georgia wanted to be just like New York lol. Yall set the fashion standards, the culture, the lingo, etc. from a hip hop perspective as well. 💯

The best part of this video is the absolute JOY coming from you, Floss. Never change! 😊
This definitely my favorite video of the year I'm 25 and it's pretty interesting to see old tech and hear stories behind it

I just want to say, I love story time with Unc Floss. We need more!
Twit studio is shutting down, MKBHD spending hundreds of thousands in fancy equipment , yet Flossy has been avoiding unnecessary costs like a boss…
Need more of these videos. I tell stories about my phones to friends all the time. Good memories
I just appreciate how Floss talks to us like we're in the room!
Absolute Legend.
Floss please make more of these videos 😭 You're so good at storytelling I could listen for hours
