1:32 - For those Dragon Quest fans, Eris says the famous death/game over line. They cut the whole interaction from Eris, where she explains what happened, and that the Kowloon Hydra is incredibly tough (it tanked Explosion and in the previous chapter, Explosion is capable of destroying a large mansion, but the monster was bigger than expected and it resurfaces every ten years after recovering it’s mana.) This Hydra is a ritual, where the Knight Corps come every decade to put it back to sleep, but they can’t kill it, so Darkness is being crazy to want to kill something that can’t be killed (Eris also says that Darkness is blaming herself for his death/why she cut it open to rescue him and was taking it hard and she gave another hint, which is likely cut because of a later scene, so I won’t explain further.) Kazuma lost 30% of his body, so they showed naked Kazuma, because he was missing his equipment (hence Ms Kazuma/Kazuma-chan.) There was a throwaway line where Aqua killed a bunch of fish in fish tanks, because she thought purifying the water was smart and Darkness looking at the reward for the thieves desperately (also the guild planned on asking for Vanir’s help, so Kazuma hid next to Aqua at home, to avoid Vanir’s precognition.)
Much like with Beldia/Dullahan, Darkness was meant to be bloody from the Hydra, to show her desperation and it’s endurance and why Kazuma was fixing her stained and broken armor. 9:53 - Reference to KonoBakuen. 14:14 - She’s still broken from being overworked and they don’t know Wiz is a Lich, so she can’t use that exclusive Lich spell in public, while Kazuma isn’t able to be seen/he has the Adventurer class excuse. In the Hydra fight, Kazuma’s gear melted so he only had casual clothes and his defense was low, Megumin cut off 6 heads and Yun Yun cut off two, after the fight, Darkness got plastered for the first time and even offered some to Megumin, and they bought the same crabs from S1E9 as a gift for Darkness (they also changed Darkness’s reason for being absent, to leaving the Party.) 6:08 - Lastly, as the Party Swap chapter for S1 was cut, this marks the first time Rin (Dust’s Party member with a tanuki tail) talks and you get to see the Intermediate Mage properly (I believe Rin’s VA is the same as the Gacha, just like the other VAs.)

According to Vanir who can also see future, Aqua`s aura works quite well as some sort of jammer for fortune tellers, clairvoyance users and other stuff like this. So as long as Kazuma stays nearby her he is prettty safe.
Guessing that's why she only gave them the city, not a specific person within.

It may not be obvious, but the town of Axel exists primarily to support novice adventurers until they become useful. Kazuma may not be incredibly wealthy on a global scale, but adventurers here are so dead broke the government rarely even taxes them. He hasn't even thought of taxes, he's living in a place where prices are intentionally kept low, and his wealth-management plan is "make a new fortune whenever I need money again" so he's not trying to save money the way a normal wealthy person would.
Dust, light-haired dude who got killed by hydra and lost his money because of that has his own spin-off btw

he's a person from a different country, in which he was a master at using the spear, his character is actually so dope but after having a problem with his fiance the princess, he left the country to become an alcoholic idiot 😢

My favorite individual scenes in this whole franchise take place in the Dust books. I dunno if I'd say I prefer his series to the main but... maybe.
I just now realized why Eris is okay with allowing Kazuma to resurrect so many times when technically it's against the rules and both Eris and Aqua stand to get in trouble for doing so, but it's only because Kazuma designated Aqua herself as the ONE THING to bring with him to the new world as his cheat item, so technically not only is Aqua his Divine Treasure but she is also supposed to do what he commands of her as she is his one and only Divine Treasure.

For around 14:20 when you mentioned bringing Wiz in - maybe she's still out of sorts from what happened last episode. The way she spent a couple weeks being active 24/7 until she had to just rest. I wouldn't be surprised if she recovered as we spent multiple days casting explosion on the hydra, but maybe Vanir just put her back into such heavy work until she needed rest again.
If that happened, I could see Kazuma checking in on her during his few stops and deciding she just needed to rest.
Darkness problem was actually told on the 1st episode of s3, Her current trouble is about Dustiness declining status and finances because her father suddenly turned ill.
Do she needs to earn large sum of money.
Well, she thinks that's her problem. And for a change she can't be blamed for not investigating, as the problem is actually hidden beyond her ability to investigate.
I haven't finished the LN but im worried about darknesse's father, will he die of that illness?

Lot of Dust and even his party in this episode.
There is a great scene with Kazuma, Dust, and Rin (the girl in his party) in this book/arc that some of us are worried will get cut that REALLY SHOULDN'T be cut. And the fact that they're easing him and his group in more and more makes me think they won't cut it.
Hoping we all get the best possible story!

Im sure it got cut as well with scenes where Megumin got a stalker kid who actually want to learn explosion magic

@@GuillermoSmyser im not sure yet until which part this season gonna end, as most konosuba only up to 10 episodes although i guess its gonna end after Vanir show up in front of Alderp and that other Demon is freed so i highly suspect they gonna animated those filler scenes but i do still hope it get animated as its funny 😆
They REALLY are making me like Darkness this season....idk why but now i think, like Megumin, she should get her own show. It's kinda hard cause i'm part of the 1% who always liked Aqua the most, but the story really makes sure to show she hasn't any drama or anything serious at all involving her LOL

Also, the guild's teamwork tho. That was REALLY cool.
The problem with trying to give Darkness a spinof is, that there is not much it could be about. Pretty much everything interesting that has hapened in her life was shown in the main show.
Prior to the show her life was a boring life of a noble lady. And unlike Aqua´s or Megumin´s wild free time solo activities when she is mentioned to doing something ofsreen in the LN it is usally just official tasks as member of the noble family in charge of the region.
The only other solo activity she does is her hobby of taking walks in the dark shady alleys hoping in vain to run into some thugs who would like to assault her..
Unfortunately, Darkness isn’t very popular and it’s very unlikely for any more spin-offs to get adapted, due to none of them being the main cast (except for Continued! KonoBakuen.) There was a potential Iris spin-off thrown out there by the author in the last LN’s afterword… but that was years ago and the author is working on other series and one is potentially finishing up soon (the other spin-offs are Vanir’s and Dust’s.) There’s also the problem that unlike Megumin, Darkness’ story is almost completely covered in the main story and from what you’ve seen, 80% of her life was noble life/stayed in a mansion and she didn’t have a masochistic side until near the start of the series (according to Darkness’s father in LN 3, it just happened.) She only started to be a knight/adventurer near the start of the series and didn’t really explore.

She’s like this in the previous LNs, too, they just cut those moments and they’re trying to stick closer to the LNs (also, she was around nobles the whole time, so she was just being Lalatina, instead of Darkness.) You have two sides of her: Lalatina and Darkness, which Kazuma mentioned in S2E10.
