The English dub for this reboot is horrendously inaccurate and destroyed ranmas character, all cuz they wanted to sneak in their garbage wokeness agenda any chance they could. Western localizers are trash and this reboot is more evidence of it. If you actually are very familiar with the manga and the original anime , you'd know what the hell I'm talking about.

Everyone who watched the Deen Movie version of this fight knows what they did right and what went wrong with ufotable's version. Ufotable even messed up gilgamesh's height. This fight wasnt fair at all. According to the Visual Novel Archer Emiya was almost out a mana when this fight started so he couldn't use any of his powerfull Noble Phantasm like Caladbolg, Excalibur, Gae Bolg, Aestus Estus ,Nine Lives Blade Works and etc. He couldn't even use Avalon to heal himself. Hero EMIYA's Unlimited Blade Works literally has all the Noble Phantasm of all Heroes just like the Gate of Babylon of Gilgamesh, including Divine Weapons like Vajra, Sul-sagana and etc, and if he had mana and use one of those, Shirou would be desintegrated instantly. and when he clash blade with an enemy he trace their fighting ability and steal it through his magic circuits. Archer Emiya is pretty OP if you ask me.

Akane seems to be really a bad observer... not getting any clue about Ryoga-Pchan identity reached a new level here, considering Ryoga is so stupid to not even put a bandana around his neck. I've read a comment about a fan theory of Akane having understood the truth, but japanese pride doesn't allow her to admit having been tricked and at this point she just fakes. I don't know what to think about that theory.

It's interesting how the fillers in the 1980s/1990s anime made Ranma's and Akene's relationship look allot more toxic than it actually was in the manga It really made Akane/Ryoga and Ranma/ most of the girls introduced later on, look like the more healthy options The old anime actually made me forget what a creep Ryoga was

I do find it fascinating how by simply removing the filler, they made Akane 10 times more likable than in the previous adaptation (the filler makes her appear way more irrationally violent)
