After using a wide-toothed neem wood comb and liitlexttra cooconion shampoo and hair oil set has already made an excellent improvement in my hair fall. My hairs are less likely to breakage and also looks smooth. This blend really is working for hair fall control.
I began using Cooconion’s shampoo in January 2024 after I had a severe hairfall issue unexpectedly. From then on, I’ve continued using the shampoo due to its effectiveness and it feels gentle on the hair. I use shampoo with conditioner every time I wash and have definitely seen positive results. I’ve already emptied a couple of shampoo bottles and will get a new one soon.
I tried this on my hair (I have long, thick, curly hair & it didn't work for me) So, I tried it as a shave cream for underarms and legs -absolutely love it. I omitted the rosemary & glycerin
That happened to me back in 2013 I made body wash using a bar of soap and glycerin but it didn’t set well so I used it as shave cream. But then I had some left over in my boxes in storage in 2017 and it must have cured cause it was soap again. 😂
I've never dyed my hair which is starting to grey but mostly it's very fair. I've used toner on my hair over the years and I'd like to say that toner does work on natural hair that has never been dyed
Just have to say I just found your channel from wondering about making my own shampoo, tired of having shampoos with tons of stuff in it that who knows what types of chemicals they put in it!! I love all of your diy videos for various beauty and home products!! Keep up the amazing videos!! I love them so far! 😊
I love this recipe and can't wait to try it out. Unfortunately, I can't find 100% coconut milk without any water or emulsifiers and preservatives inside. Can I substitute with coconut cream? Perhaps dialuted with water? Thank you. I love your videos ❤
I just wanted to say I've been subscribed for a while now and really want to say thank you! Thanks for teaching me healthier lifestyle tips and how to make stuff for the home without harsh ingredients!
Thank you. Im going to try this. The last few years i seem to get eczema and dry scalp more. I jave allergies to a preservative thats in quite a few personal care products from baby wipes , shampoos, laundry detergents. I keep seeking more homemade products with ckean ingredients
I was so excited to try this. It didn't work for me. My hair is long and it looked so dull and it was knotted like crazy!! If i continued use, I'd go bald from pulling on my hair so much 😥
Don't know if you can help me on this. I recently stumbled over these sorts of videos randomly and I've been wanting to get into something like this. As a male the idea never crossed my mind but I've been running into some issues. A lot of guides I've seen and read always use things nut based and being allergic I can't use them. Almond oil, shea butter, etc. I was wondering if you knew of something else I can use? Also on a sort of related note I've been trying to find out what it's called when someone makes their own beauty products but I can't find the name for it. Astronomy is astronomy, Brewing is brewing, etc you get the point. Cheers.
Hi! You can use mango butter and olive, soybean, grapeseed and safflower oil. Also, look into humectants like aloe vera, honey, and glycerin. Good luck!
I used canned coconut milk ingredients are coconut, water and guar gum and this product is a solid not liquid lol will this still work? It's a little bit chunky after mixing everything together lol.
Residue of oil? I solved that problem. I followed a shampoo recipe online which is: 1/4 Castile soap 1/4 water 8 drops of your essential oil At first, it did leave an oil residue. Then I tried putting 3/4 water in the recipe and did not leave residue. Hope it helps😄
Oiling the scalp softens the hair follicles and can lead to hair loss. I was always told not to put hair conditioner or oils on my scalp, only on the ends. I don't understand why people insists on making oily shampoo when they could just make conditioner...
I've never heard of that either. But you've made me curious. :-) I have personally noticed that when I regularly oil my hair and scalp with the hair oil concoctions, my hair fall becomes very minimal.
Thank you for posting this video! I tried it and it worked great! I just have a question about the coconut milk. What do you do with the leftover? Mine says it’s good for 2 days after you open the can...
Hi! I made this shampoo and have been using it for about a week, but I've only washed my hair three times. I love the way it brought out my natural curls, but my hair has gotten increasingly slick feeling, oily, and heavy. I'm afraid with more use my hair will look completely slick. Is there any way to help the way it looks and feels so wet, but keep the way it brings out my curls? Thanks!
Try using an acid rinse after using the natural shampoo. An acid rinse can be a 1 part lemon juice/white vinegar with 10 parts water. Let it sit a few mins and then wash out fully with water. An acid rinse will make sure there is no build up of the shampoo which is what I think is making your hair oily. Try it out, it works for my curly hair :)
What do you do with the leftover coconut milk? I don't want to waste it and I don't like the taste so I wouldn't use it except for in this shampoo. How long will it keep in the refrigerator? Also can I cut down on the castile soap, it seems to leave my hair feeling like straw and tangled.
Hi, I usually add neem oil & teatree oil to my shampoo for myself. I'm looking to also add aniseed oil in also, but I wanting to know if this would be safe to use on children? Also I read rosemary wasn't ok to use on kids, is this true?
I've been having an issue with my diy shampoo. I just recently made another batch and I'm having the same issue. I gathered some of the EO's that contribute to healthy hair growth and scalp conditioning to create a scalp conditioner (used Argan oil) and a shampoo (used fractionated coconut oil). The scalp conditioner is great and I don't have a problem with it. But I do have a problem with the shampoo. When I use it in the shower, I start choking and coughing. I tested by spraying it in the bathroom sink and I experienced the same. I'm using the same EO's for the shampoo. These are the EO's (they're not all from the same distributor): Lavender 6D Peppermint 8-9D Rosemary. 8D Cedarwood. 6-8D Sage. 3D TeaTree. 8D I would like to know what I'm doing or not doing wrong/right. The first batch had less EO drops of each oil and I was choking every time I used it. Now the second is doing the same even though I added more distilled water to it. I thought it would reduce that vapor, but it didn't. HELP!! All I'm trying to make is a shampoo that will help hair growth & strengthen it, as well. I don't want to use any "milk" in the formula. Thank you all in advance, especially the creator, Laura. Any tips will be appreciated! 😊

Wow! Much Respect!! ❤
Are u stupid? Natural haircare is the last thing a homeless person wants to hear about! Ridiculous! Pretentious! And offensive!

I only wash my hair once a week, and my husband is mostly bald. Even that much would be too much. Thank you for the tip about vegetable glycerin.
Does this shampoo make your hair sticky?
Thank you for this video! I can’t wait to try the shampoo! I was thinking about adding vegetable glycerin to mix how much would you recommend?
I have dr bronner’s hemp lavender. Would that be ok?
Is vegetable glycerin good or bad? I see some people use it some people don’t. What are your thoughts

What about adding a preservative to give it a longer shelf life?
Does this work well for coloured dyed hair?
I suggest you put it into a foaming dispenser so that it won't touch the scalp.
Do v use the same base wat v use for bath soap?
One day I will need to do some essential oil videos. I love your channel and your video content!! I love natural shampoo. I use Function of Beauty.
Thank you so much!!
Oh my I’m excited about this and I haven’t even watched it yet!!!!
I'm considering making my own shampoo. Right now I do use an amazing aloe shampoo though.
I was so excited to try this. It didn't work for me. My hair is long and it looked so dull and it was knotted like crazy!! If i continued use, I'd go bald from pulling on my hair so much 😥
Sorry to hear that. Try doing an apple cider vinegar after!
I tried it.. my hair was very oily... wondering what I could add to make itwork.
Can u match a batch n freeze small amounts until u are ready to use it?
Is there a preservative you recommend for a longer shelf life without refrigeration
What do you use so the oil phase won’t separate?

I really want to try this but usually Castile soap leaves my hair with a residue 😕☹️
Residue of oil? I solved that problem. I followed a shampoo recipe online which is:
1/4 Castile soap
1/4 water
8 drops of your essential oil
At first, it did leave an oil residue. Then I tried putting 3/4 water in the recipe and did not leave residue. Hope it helps😄
How long does it last if it’s in the fridge?
Good question
Use full video sissy store it in room temperature or fridge
Which bar shampoo recipe would you recommend for white hair
Thank you just went on your channel 🙏🙌💐🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦
Welcome!!
This seems like a great recipe but the shelf life is a huge concern for me
I assume it's from the coconut milk. I've heard that vitamin E can preserve it as well.
@@honeybee2356 vitamin e is an antioxidant, not a preservative. There is a big difference.
@@locsbyholiday2231 Ok, as I said, "I heard", I have not verified that. I do agree with you that Vitamin E is an antioxidant. YHVH God bless
Hello, where should we store this product? Can this product be stored in any temperature?
This is amazing but I did remove the coconut oil on mine. My hair looked too shiny.

@@ouroilyhouse neither have I lol
Lol, that makes no sense that oil would soften th follicle and make it fall out. Your body has oils and that makes no biological sense.
How much longer will the shampoo last if I add vitamin E antioxidants and rosemary essential oil?
Can you use tea tree oil
I love your recipe I will try it out. Thank you.❤
You are welcome 😊
Hi😊 I don’t think I can find canned coconut milk in my country, what can ı substitute the coconut milk with?
You can use water. I have another shampoo recipe without coconut milk on my channel you can check out too!
Can you use oat milk instead too?
can we also add garlic extract or olive oil extract for hair thickening and hair growth???
Yes you can
Does not work on my hair very greasy roots after 1 day and dry the rest. Will not remove grease any ideas please?
I have a preservative I would like to add so it won't spoil so quickly because of the milk would I add 5 ml? or more?
Yes you can do that or store in the refrigerator.
@@ouroilyhouse ok thanks I guess 5ml is enough lol
Thank you for posting this video! I tried it and it worked great!
I just have a question about the coconut milk. What do you do with the leftover? Mine says it’s good for 2 days after you open the can...
We use it in smoothies
You can freeze in ice cube trays and add to smoothies.
Make that green/red curry
Can you use coconut milk powder
How many days can use
I don't have coconut milk in my country, with what i can replace it ?
Her other shampoo video uses water
Were do you get your vitamin E oil
It is linked in the blog post: www.ouroilyhouse.com/coconut-rosemary-homemade-shampoo/
How much does it cost
i like the recipe but lasting 1 week is not practical. I wonder if this is related to the milk or honey?
Hello! This receipe is getting weird smell after 1 week. Do you have any auggestions to make it last longer? Thank you!
Storing it in the fridge will extend shelf life.
Is there a substitute or alternative to the coconut milk?
Water
Aloe vera
Excited to try this!
is it okay if I add aloe Vera in It?
Yes!
@@ouroilyhouse alright thanks! this is such a nice idea! 💕💕💕

Can I put something in it to extend shelf life?
You can add an antioxidant like vitamin E antioxidant or rosemary antioxidant to help extend the shelf life of the product if desired.
We may use any brand Castile soap?
Yes
Really enjoyed this video. Will follow all. ♡
Glad you enjoyed!
Do you have a list if ingredients anywhere?
Yes! www.ouroilyhouse.com/coconut-rosemary-homemade-shampoo/
