I like Bill Burr because he just comes out and says it. Nothing he said was untrue, yet certain segments of the population will lose their collective spit over him. He makes some points. It must be so challenging to be a man in today's world.

Bill Burr ruffles feathers, raises eyebrows, but when you really listen to him, he makes sense more times than not. He has an unusual way of presenting his subject matter, but it is not without merit all the times I have listened to his dialog.

A prenuptial should always be considered anytime a young star with a lot of money thinks about getting married, and if that bothers the other person, then you pretty much already have your answer whether things will eventually work out or not. In addition, when you're young, coming out of college, work, whatever it is, and well into your twenties, you still haven't figured life out yet, or who you are, you're still changing as a person, both people, and the odds of growing apart are very possible. There's a reason the divorce rate is so high.
Yes, there are gold diggers out there, but as Burr points out here, typically the male, has to be more responsible and not think with the wrong head, it really is that simple. Don't hook up with someone that hasn't done much with their life, and make damn sure you use some protection.
Last I checked, Tiger Woods is getting sued again, this time over sexual allegations, whether that's true or not has yet to be determined, but make no mistake, those gold diggers are out there looking for a free ride.

@@JakkFrost1 While sometimes true, the person needs to take more responsibility for their actions and not allow themselves to be put in a compromised position. This falls on both individuals involved, more so for the person who stands more to lose.

Your reaction is exactly correct here. You have to admire and agree with the honesty, it's just you also have to beware of the... indelicate way he puts things. But yeah, he's not wrong. There's a lot of stuff in life that's exactly like this issue, where it gets swept under the rug or just not talked about because the subject matter isn't PC. The world would be a significantly better place if we could all just have frank and honest conversations about everything.

    • @afurinperil
      @afurinperil Рік тому +4

the way he puts things is what allows him to have a huge audience. If he was PC about it, no one would be talking about what he's saying. He plays the dumb, crude, "masshole" guy which enables him to say much more and get away with it

I can clarify this issue. Ever wondered how mixing mum and dad's genes can produce either a girl's brain or a boy's brain that appear to behave differently? It's because the minds are pretty-much identical but the subconscious always gets any input first and it is biased by hormones like testosterone and estrogen. There is no such thing as the mind of a man, or the mind of a woman; there is merely the body of a man and the body of a woman, and the same mind on top of both, but often biased by hormones created by the body. That means whilst it is natural for some humans with male bodies to identify as female, and visa versa, sport classifications should be based upon the male or female BODY, not the male identifying, or female identifying mind.

Well, Jesus Christ said two thousand years ago that it is easier for a camel to pass through the Needle's Eye than for a rich man to enter the Kingdom of Heaven. And for context, the Needle's Eye was a pedestrian gate in the walls of Jerusalem that a camel could squeeze through, but it was very, very difficult.
So many years have passed and what? And nothing exactly has changed in this regard.
And that's one of the reasons why I personally don't want to be rich. I want exactly as much as I really need. Nothing more.

I didn't like it until the second half, with the "life coach" - then it was hilarious xD
it must be tough for guys if even Mr. Lboyd is so conflicted. Men seem to need a real coach or education on how to hold it together if they want to remain monogamous or just don't marry, idk what other solutions are out there. And women should overwrite their own biology so they don't get attached or hurt emotionally (which you always do like an idiot even if you know that's bad, although some have managed to control it and cut off unwanted relationships so I suppose there is still hope left...), another option is to not expect anything and look at it as a transaction for a win-win situation... idk, what do you guys think?
premise: not talking about gold diggers - just normal women with normal needs.
Fun fact: there are gold diggers who are men, it became rampant during the pandemic but I'm sure gender is secondary when it comes to greed.

So if the man left her she was destitute she got something to take care of her. This is rhe 2000's. Any women can find a job now. All a man needs to do is pay child support and that is it. Not give them half the shit they worked jard to do. As far as I am concerned when a lady marrys a rich man she has one job. Keep said man satisfied. If she cant even do that then she sure as deserve his hard earned money.

Watching your face contort in quiet anguish to the shit he says for shock value vs the well-considered talking points is bonus comedy.
Bill Burr is hilarious, a legend, and someone who delivers a lot of substance and realism in his sets...yet the irony is never lost on me about how many people mistake a brilliant stand-up routine for a roadmap to their personal lives and philosophies. He always adds in the realistic aside, he’s always telling you that you don’t apply to this situation and uses himself as an example of a regular guy; yet that flies over the heads of a large subsect of his fans. These folks have to stop taking what people on a platform are saying as gospel-be it the priest, the talking head, the stripper, the used car salesman, the comedian, the instagram influencer, the pillow mogul, the felon running for office, or especially the billionaire and their spokespeople. The culture war in America is being spoon fed byte by byte.
Guys go home thinking that they’re Bill Burr on a stage...”if he can say it, so can I”, or that they’re Kobe/Arnold/Tiger...”I cheated on my wife and now she gets half my salary...fucking gold digging whore!”
To these dudes: Bruh, you’re not Kobe/Arnold/Tiger, nowhere close. You’re not even Bill Burr, also not close. Your ex didn’t leave your dumb ass for a few hundred bucks a month. She left because you had the charisma of a shock jock, the morals of a man who thinks a gold plated toilet deserves idolatry, and the insight of a parrot sat in front of prime time opinion news outlets.
The only real culture war is between the mega rich and the rest of us.

Anyone reading this facing this situation? I found it was actually me being stifled in that marriage. I have gone on to have an adventurous life, traveled the country, become the artist I dreamed I would be. After the first glamor wore off, my ex- husband begged me to come back. I was gone. Personally, I think that your problem with this bit has nothing to do with what was said, but rather the language used. Get over it my friend, Bill is absolutely right here, crass as he may be about it.

Humans are in mating season year-round. We don't demonize a male dog for going around and getting with countless female dogs in spring, their mating season. Humans have mating year. Men are constantly in rut, always ready to reproduce. That's why so many men sleep around and why a lot of the anger-issue-having men have anger issues, high testosterone. All male animals have higher, some times DRASTICALLY higher, testosterone levels during mating season. Which make them short-tempered, aggressive, and irritable. But keeping all of that in check comes down to self control. I am never surprised and never blame a man for ruining his life by sleeping around. But, I still hold him accountable due to a lack of self control. Do I condone sleeping around? If you aren't in a relationship, sure, go ahead. But if you ARE in a relationship, some circumstances aside, no. It is not okay.
TL;DR: human males are always horny and usually angry or aggressive because it is always mating season for humans. Which leads to stupid things like sleeping away your relationship and life like Arnold Schwarzenegger, and countless other men, have done, are doing, and will do.

Jesus, therapy is much needed here.

@@WileChile51 What would I be coping for? What would I be going to therapy for? Please, tell me where I'm wrong. But, understanding mating seasons and that we are the only animal that mates year round meaning year-round mating season, I don't think you can point anything wrong. It's all down to self control, which I lacked in the past, ruined several relationships, decided to try to ignore those urges when I got with my most recent ex, and haven't cheated at all in 15 years since, because I started controlling myself. Self control.

Well it's refreshing/surprising that you didn't bring up the male patriarchy. Seems like most feminists or ugh male feminists can't go 5 minutes without screeching about it. As a straight white guy who now self identifies as a gay transgender woman of color I support and stand in solidarity with America's systemic blah blah blah. My only concern is that I used to love county music but now I can't stand it.
