The 30fps target is for PS5 at 4k resolution and I assume in a Quality vs a Performance setting.
Gamers just want to be mad about something. If the FPS is terrible at 2k with slightly reduced settings, I'll just refund since I am buying it on Steam.

My theory is there are going to be other vocations in game they just don't want to announce all of them given the wording. Given that in the prior game there were hybrid vocations for each of the combinations of the starting classes.

To me this has mostly read as itsuno trying ro balance keeping secrets because of his consistent focus and want for players to discover stuff and the necessity to communicate features to players
Every game needs to start with a base performance mode and go from there. Not the other way around. 30 fps is going to suck. I thought for sure capcom would come through on this basic common sense.

I'm actually really confused with the trickster vocation. Its a combination of pink and purple meaning its a hybrid vocation but there is no pink or purple vocation. It even has the hybrid vocation frame! They say they aren't using the color coded system BUT THEY CLEARLY ARE. All the vocations are color coded what's going on here?
I see two options, either theres stuff they arent telling us to keep surprises in, or it could literally just be them saying "Ooh, look, the colors weren't real! You were just being tricked because theyre the trickster oooooh. Why do you look so annoyed?"

Open world games tends to be a heavy on performance..
Either they go 30 fps with HIGH settings (1440p upscaled to 4K)..
Or go with LOW settings with 60 fps with dips (1080p upscaled to 1440p)
40 fps VRR mode would been a good middle-ground solution.. I even doubt that PC would get good performance.. it seems heavy game overall
This is not true. Have you played Horizon Forbidden West on PS5? The performance mode looks gorgeous and runs at a stable 60 fps. I don't understand how it can't be done here. It's unacceptable to ask for $100 for a modern game that runs at 30 fps.

Back in my day 30FPS was plenty. Is higher preferable? Sure. But 30 is absolutely playable. Now people absolutely lose their shit whenever a game dips 1 frame below 60. XD

No guarantee that can even be done unless you dumb down all the textures and have the game looking like MH Rise. (Not that there's anything wrong with MH Rise, just that it was developed to run on Switch lol.)

They bashed the previous devs, bashed the game, talked crap about fans demeaning them, outright admitted they were going to do the opposite of what fans wanted, they removed community favorite outfits that were requested from day one of development, they removed armor layers to prevent circumventing their intended censorship, they made the outfits looks bulky and ugly, they removed favorite vocations, removed most preferred playstyles, added nothing (wayfarer isn't new its a jack of all existing trades while being a master of none...meaning weak), they have confirmed they cannot get the frame rate to even 30 fps (they have no intention of getting it 60 the devs have openly stated their only goal is getting it to an "uncapped 30fps" which translates to 15-35 fps (which is unplayable if you've played any new gen games recently), and they are avoiding releasing a demo because they know they will lose more preorders than they already have. Don't support lazy development/corner cutting/removal of content/censorship/blackwashing/copium.

I'll be playing it in a year at 60 fps and at half the price. Looks amazing in so many ways, but I have been skeptical of performance since they started releasing videos months ago.

Well you can always take the warfarer vocation and make your own hybrid class.

They can fix frame rate with patches what I worry about is gameplay fun Factor replay factor... The amount of content... Most importantly I'm interested in how you heal because it was a pain in the ass to heal in the first game.
But I'll take as many RPGs of high quality because they can always sit there and be used later.

I have never really had a problem with 30FPS. I PC game mostly but when I jump on the console to play exclusives that I cannot get on PC It definitely is a noticeable change but I get used to it after playing for a bit. As long as it's a steady 30FPS and the game is fun, I don't ever have a problem. Hopefully one day AI will make graphics easier to run though.

It literally will or ppl will have less than 20 hours played at launch by not wanting to play at low fps and it's worse on game mode on good tvs that a lot of ppl have these days, I had to get a monitor just to play rdr2 at 30fps because it reduces the PATHETIC motion on screen, I love how it looks on my TV which is a great TV but once you move walk or run you notice the screen motion being terrible instantly

bringing Demos back is great, in this day and age of Preorders and then Triple A gaming companies blaming the consumers for there being low sales of a preordered game or expansion after they were deaf to their consumers concerns this is a good thing. No. And don't let them trick you. The PS5 is currently capable of running games at 60fps. We have tons of open world games that already do. This game is just poorly optimized or their engine is trash.

Another thing for you console players is that IGN did their testing on 4K resolution, so for those of you that play on 1080p or even 2k your performance will be a bit better than that 24-30 fps mark.

@@DystopianDinoo didn’t say they did, but it’s not capped at 30 from my knowledge(could be wrong but I’m pretty sure it’s an uncapped frame rate) meaning if you’re playing on a lower resolution your fps will be better.

30 fps is really awkward these days, but only for a few hours. Then you get used to them again, just as it happened with BOTW and TOTK.
Everyone keeps saying consoles are underpowered. No, the issue is similar to Starfield - the developer decided to make the game only 4k 30fps when they could have easily done a performance mode at 1440p 60 fps. Console players aren’t expecting 4k 60fps. We are expecting the option of visual or smooth. Thats literally it. Not everyone wants to deal with troubleshooting a PC just to play games.
I only play multiplayer games anyway. Been gaming over 27 years. Ever since MUDs. Some of my friends just as long. So it’s no loss to the multiplayer communities. LOL

Thanks for the information. I'm really on the fence with this one since it's at $70.00. Considering I've had so much fun with Enshrouded, Palworld and Helldivers 2, all of which are way below the 70 dollar mark. I think it's going to have to be an outstanding game, at least for me at this point. With that in mind maybe I'll catch it on a sale later in the year. Thanks again!

I'd say a good pc would be a cheap preowned amd ryzen 7 5700x with a 6600xt. Those with fsr2/3 and you're easily getting high frames on 1080 high settings

I really hope the game doesn't have dynamic difficulty. Imagine failing at Elden Beast 9 times and then on the tenth he has 1/3 of his hp and does 75% less damage. The feeling of accomplishment gone.

Thats the problem with consoles, they take a long time and a lot of money to develop. Unfortunately technology moves rather quickly resulting in them becoming obselete not long after launching. I would suggest people get PC's if they want to game, you can still sit on the couch and play PC games using a controller or any other method you like. Oh and yes your PC will pay for itself because you will save a fortune only having to pay £10 for a game instead of £70. PC games reduce in price very shortly after release.
And not to mention it’s quite customizable. That’s what I loved about my Faming PC. I had the support for the i9 core and eventually had space for the 4090 series NVIDiA. But you don’t really need all of that processing power if you just want a nice way to enjoy your gaming experience. I think Pc is a much better investment because the hardware lasts much longer and is easily upgraded.
two problems with pc gaming: 1. pc ports are dogshit 90% of the time and 2. exclusives take a year+ to get to pc. coming from someone that plays on both
