The ‘70’s produced the best guitarists of all time, in my opinion. We were spoiled for choice. The wonderful Peter Frampton being one of them. The Brits did it best ❤️
Love you Peter Frampton and will never forget meeting you at Humboldt State in March 2016 thank you so much for all the wonderful years of music you have shared please come back soon 💕💖💗💙💚💛💚💙💗💖💕
High School....My First Love introduced me to Peter Frampton. I went nuts!!! When my mother wasn't home, I put this album on and turned it up full blast! This was/is MY FAVORITE PETER FRAMPTON SONG because the guitar solo BLAZED on FRAMPTON COMES ALIVE!!! Memories....this song still brings tears. Love you Peter. The young black girl down the street. :-)
Actually 43 when you commented; 45 now. He originally recorded this song on his 2nd studio album, in 1973. It is a great song, though, and, as we can tell, he does it even better live!!
I am 69 yrs old and remember him, and when the double live album came out, I had just purchased a hifi fir £1,000, and everyone wanted to come to my house to listen to it…
He's 63. Still looks good to me and sounds just as good as ever!! He looks as if he enjoys playing more than any musician I've ever seen. Love this guy.
Peter Frampton is the master of making music. I was in my senior year of high school when this album came out. Brings me back to there every time I listen to it.
Frampton is absolutely one of my fave guitarist's of all time... so clean so underrated too... come on man not many will ever come close to his musical achievements
Diane Smith Yea, definitely. You should look up "You". Peter plays a Fender Telecaster guitar like no one has ever played it. His own unique style and sound is very cool. Been around pickers all my life, but Frampton pushes strings like no other. As a musician, I think Peter is one of the best. If you like him, you should check Mark Knophler of Dire Straits. He plays some good tunes, as well.
This is the most fabulous band in the world! No one can play guitar like Peter Frampton. He is a MASTER at his craft, I wish I never quit playing. This is a wonderful performance.
Peter is undoubtedly one of the best guitar players of all time and perhaps the most underrated in his category. His playing is so fluid, and very melodic with the perfect sound to it. I love 1976 for having to hear Frampton Comes Alive over and over and over again, can never get tired of it! There is something to that live Lp that embeds itself inside of you. Thank you Peter for your brilliant artistry.
It's hard to imagine him being underrated as many copies of FCA was sold... yet, how on God's green earth is this guy not in the RRHOF?!? What a fucking joke. His improvisational skills are so amazing, he's also very consistently good live player. He doesn't overplay or just throw out a bunch of BS. Just keeps it real and always plays great.
+Joseph Simon ...That's EXACTLY what I was going to say Joseph. Peter is one massively underrated guitarist. He can hold up with the best of them, because he is one of the best of them.
He was my first concert when I was 15 years old.. I believe it was 1977...still to this day one of the best concert I've ever seen... I'm 55 years old now
An amazing artist, saw him three times in the 70s , so much has happened since and so much has changed , but not my love for his music , TY Peter for so many great memories !!
Frampton is one of the greatest guitarist of all time and it is amazing that he still can rock on 40 years after this song and album came out.He has my utmost respect.
I bought in 76 when I was 12. I still go into a trance everytime I hear it. I'm 58 now, through all the joy and pain over the years this song puts me into a calm that is indescribable. Turn the lights off turn up the volume, you won't be in the same mood you were before.
My wife and I saw Frampton live 1975 Denver's mile high and many more times since. The very best was a small venue at Konoclti northern California. Up close fantastic! Long live Frampton! Steve Razz Roseville ca
Just finished reading Peter's new biography which brought me back to those early years when I was a teenage and buying his albums. I just had to re-visit some of his great masterpieces and this song is one of them. What a gift Peter is to the musical world!
A MOST EXCELLENT song....Brings a smile to my face....EVERY time I hear it. *Speaking of smiles....You still have the SAME boyish grin, (we all came to know and love), from all those years ago. :)
Saw Peter perform at his last concert in Concord CA in 2019.. The man was amazing, sounded just like when I heard him at the age of 16 in Sacramento, CA in 1975... This song has so much meaning for me...
+Tammy Sigmon really, then tell us on the album [that is to say the lp] where does this gem appear . no cheating which side and what number just playing i love this track as well. this man is so under rated and like that fine wine has improved with age. BRAVO PETER FRAMPTON no haters
I'll never forget the chance I got to see him in concert in Effingham, Illinois. Frampton Comes Alive was my very first rock album and has changed my life. After the concert me and my daughter stayed around because we saw a group of people around the back where his buses were and we actually got to meet his band members and of course Peter Frampton. I have a picture with him signing my CD. A moment I will never forget that for the rest of my life!!!!
Mark William Cosens I’ve been listening to this since I was in 5th grade and in the last 10 years, this has become my fav Frampton song and in my top 10 fav overall songs.
I have seen Peter in concert when he was a teenager. And decades again, when he changed to one of my Best. Keep on swinging Peter, on high spirits, and make us happy.
I hear Peter Frampton for the 1st time when I was 30 or 35 years ago. But this song has arrived in the exact moment of my life. Thanks a lot for sharing

Saw Peter and Cheap Trick last night in Cary, NC. Beautiful cool evening and Peter proves what it is to be a musician who is one with his music, his band, and his fans. He's aged so gracefully because he shows us what it means to be FULLY alive by doing what you love and just bringing some joy to all of us. The PF signature sounds of his guitars and the keyboards is unmistakable. And of course he'll always be King of the Wah-Wah box. But of all his hits, this song will always be my favorite!
I've been lucky enough to have the "same" evening (Peter and Cheap Trick) at Summerfest in Milwaukee... Frampton is the epitome of an artist who loves playing life, like you said.
Any guitarist who studies Peters music quickly comes to a great respect for his gift. The man is a monster guitarist and composer. His lead phrasings are top shelf and highly original.
Amen to that. I don't know that non-guitarists can really appreciate this master of the modes. If he had never written a song he would still be revered by most rock guitarists. Add to this his prolific songwriting and you have a true Hall of Fame guitar god. Thanks Peter!
Kids today see an old man playing a guitar But i see the young spirit in this man who refuses to just quit playing. What a class act Mr. Frampton.
I've loved this man's music since I was 15 years old. The way he can make a guitar talk is amazing.
Just 65 this feb./22 infatuation with his music and him has never left me, saw him in concert one summer in the 70’s. Flippin fabulous😘❣️
Yeah man! 100 on that dude!

saw Frampton five times before live lp a great talent 🎸🚔
76 was the year I moved out on my own. A little scared and a whole lot broke. I listened to Frampton over and over. Got me through the tough times!!
This could be the most beautiful guitar playing ever.
because it truly comes from the inside out. A true musician doesn't "learn" how, they just play who they are

Lines on my head from that one thing she said

Kept on trying, buying time, not waiting on fate
I somehow got the feeling that I opened my eyes too late
I saw where you came from
Called out your name
But there's no answer
We lived on your doorstep
I made you my wife but I don't need that
Lines on my face, while I laugh lest I cry
Speed city dirt and gritty waving me goodbye
So many people, my family of friends
Trying so hard to make me smile until this heartache mends
I saw where you came from
Called out your name
But there's no answer
We lived on your doorstep
I made you my wife but I don't need that
Ice in her eyes, frozen tears would never be a surprise
You can't erase a dream you can only wake me up
My mind is turning slower, never to accept defeat
It don't matter where I live I still got a house to heat
I saw where you came from
Called out your name
But there's no answer
We lived on your doorstep
I made you my wife but I don't need that

Every time i hear PF songs it brings me back to my high school days... Peter you're really one of the best... A TRUE Legend.
Saw Peter and Cheap Trick last night in Cary, NC. Beautiful cool evening and Peter proves what it is to be a musician who is one with his music, his band, and his fans.
