Peter Frampton's guitar playing is a gift to the world, incredible.
This song is dedicated to my brother who passed away on June 22,2022, he was a huge Humble pie fan and he loved Peter Frampton..
My favorite thing about Frampton is just how happy he is when he’s playing. He’s always smiling and just enjoying himself
such as his tab's ;-) heart rhythm
@benjamin cox 👏👏👏👏
So sorry to hear PF fell victim to the covid vaccine.
One of the most beautiful pieces ever written. And he never plays it the same way twice.
Like unwrapping the most beautiful present you have ever received-- each time
@@empress_highpriestess3307 God gives talent and Peter deserved it.
Well the lines keep changing.
I find this unbelievable 1976 to 2024.. just gets better..I tear up sometimes..that's good
Just amazing. The expressiveness that he plays the solos reminds me of a rainstorm...a magnificent rainstorm. Play on Mr. Frampton...one of the best ever.
Amazing performance, but are we at all surprised it's Peter Frampton, a legend of fantastic performances over the decades and still sounds the same as always, just perfect in every way, such a great musician and what a band as as well!
Thanks so very much for this glimpse of so many of our past musical dreams!
Just came upon this, and I am floored by the beauty of the song and the excellent guitar playing by Peter Frampton. He was unfairly typecast in the beginning as the "pretty boy" who sang, Show Me the Way, but he is so much more than that!!
I've always loved this song.... Frampton is still and will always be one of the best guitar players ever
Agree......powerful times...
This is maturity talking with fingers, new notes. Love you Peter. Comes Alive was incredible to have grown up with 🙏
yip. just a big wow on all possible levels.
Getting older, lines on my face, but! for some, as one grows older, stone cut and chiseled. TRUE CHARACTER OF THE INNER HEART & SOUL WILL CERTAINLY SHINE LIKE A POLISHED DIAMOND.
Why did I have to live 66 years without ever hearing this song. Though not Peter's most popular I like this one the best. So much feeling. Sending out peace and love and prayers for Peter. Keep rocking brother.
Check out the iconic live version on the Frampton Comes Alive double LP , c.1975-76
Watch Rick Beato’s interview with Peter. It’s awesome
@@charliesmith5189 INDEED!! Probably THE BEST interview I've ever heard = Rick's conversation with Peter was quite rich, veering away from the typical Q&A , focusing on the music, musicianship, song composition, guitar technique, etc... and THAT was soooo refreshing!!
It is a true hidden gem.
Saw him when I was 15 first concert outside at night..paved the way for my musical tastes..I'm 65 now..
This song does not get old for me. Over 40 years? It still sounds fresh and it moves me to my soul.
I haven't cried like this in a while!! I often watch the original live clip of the man that was my very first real hard love. Man, I can't even explain. 😭 I am truly older now, aren't we all, and this beautiful man, his beautiful voice, lyrics, moving guitar playing.... I guess I am still a teenager in my heart. ❤ I love you forever, Peter Frampton! Never stop. 🙏
(Bucket list!!)
Jodi 💕
Peter Framptons music just hits me in the heart, always, all songs. I was fortunate enough to see Comes Alive Tour at 15 yo at Colt Park, Hartford with 65k ppl..outside venue, I got right up to the stage, he came out fell off stage, tour his pants bouncers threw him back up..came right out..wild time for this country boy..my intro to live music..now he plays in my little home town of Gilford NH..does not get better❤
My friend Mike...where did you ever Go? You held my hand thru the summer of 76...then you were gone....Michael A. Lukasik. Where ever you are...I hope one of those lines on your face is from me.
Haunting song, takes me back to 1976 when I heard it for the first time.
I would rather be sitting here alone in my room listening to that guitar sing then do anything else on this Saturday night!!! That solo at 3;45 is beyond beautiful......Oh MG...that guitar.... LOVE!!!
One of the best solos ever. Although all leads are beautiful. Just a great song overall. Timeless.
Rachelyn Dawn what u say! Say it again for the ppl in the back! 🎸🎸🎸
When Frampton waved goodbye for his Finale Tour show last month, I waved while crying. Frampton was misty eyed after his encore. It was a deeply touching scene I'll never forget. I'm so glad I was on the rail that night.
I was there too. And I was crying too.
Yup same...Tulsa, He performed it exactly like this.
One of, if not THE best performances of this song...ever.
Nothing will ever touch Frampton Comes Alive version. Probably the most note perfect soloing i've ever heard. All three solo sections.
We played the Comes Alive tape over and over again in the boat on those lazy and privileged days on the lake in 1976 Central Texas. This song stood out then but I wouldn't come to understand it until 36 years later.
With my eyes closed I'm thinking of the days I was only fourteen, a young teenager, my first love, the beginning of my life. This song is pure nostalgic to me and gives me shill's and It also makes me realise how fast my life went on...
Makes me cry now - transporting me back to that time when a 19yr old kid & music was the greatest thing I the world.
Yes, life is open and close the eyes...
I'm sorry it led you to a life of dishonesty. This song gave me the "Chills" all over again
14! Dude get off yourself. This is about getting fucked over by a wife you've loved for years
@@MRJIMIHNDRX Still is
All these Detroit videos he is at his best ever..my first concert 1976, Colt Park, Hartford, outside, nighttime..35k ppl
I was young made my way to the the stage..amazing, this set my future taste in music
Everytime tears in my eyes❤ so happy to see him twice in Finale Tour.
See, this is old-time rock-'n'-roll folks 🤠🤠😂😂 and I would never ever! Trade it for all the liquor in my house 🏡😅😅. Well? Let's party 🎉🙂🙂 my folks 😉😉☺️😅 lol. 💋 I forgot that I was 12 years old lol when my mom bought this album for me and loved it. 😂. Lol. 💋
one day we will listen together Peter Frampton . ❤️❤️❤️
I think this is his best live performance of this song.
Such a brilliant man, artist, singer, and guitarist!!
Yes indeed, the look of sheer bliss on Frampton's face is a joy to behold.
while everybody concentrates on framptons guitar...often his vocals are overlooked...but...his vocals can stand alone...and his vocals are still world class!!
@ Richard Lawson
Pete is just a Complete World class musician
Agree. Love his phrasing/timing.
Exactly
I'm not a musician, but to me he's a hugely underrated guitarist and songwriter. Always appears modest too - clearly there's no need for flashiness when you're that good... This is one of the songs that can take me right back to those happy times I'd have again in a heartbeat.
He still got it, his voice never change one of my favorite of Peter Frampton song
Ive been an amateur guitarist for many more years than I care to remember , when I listen to this genius i realise I will always be an Amateur .
God bless you Pete a hero to all musicians.
Saw Peter July 2023 at hard rock concert and just need to say, wow 🤩, I never knew what an excellent artist he really is!! Such talent I could not explain the joy I had listening to him. Ty for sharing Gods gift in you with us!
This is my favorite Frampton song and my favorite version of it. Thanks, Peter.
So glad that I had the blessing of seeing him in concert in 99. A master musician and very over looked....why is he not in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame?
One nice thing about an 8 track tape player. You had to listen to other songs to get to your favorite song. No fast forward or reverse. So that is how this song became one of my favorites. I loved the 70's, what a great time to grow up in.
Makes me cry EVERY TIME.
What I always loved about this song is that while a mellow slow riff there are parts where Peter really showcases how great a guitarist he is. One of the all time greats IMO.
Frampton always made it look easy but I promise its not.
Genius!!! Gorgeous... So underrated! One of the Best of all time!!
My youth when my girl ditched me… but when they played all this guys music, and I loved music. She was many miles gone from my beautiful music. I loved every minutiae music is precious we should love it as a spiritual deliverance 😘
This song is so underated , its too bad ! Peter is brilliant on guitar 🤩
Two guitar solos that paints a picture and speaks to you along with sublime blues and jazz chord harmonization.. that creates a tranquility that feels good to the soul. Music 🎶
He sounds the same as if it was 1975 when Peter was the #1 rock star!
Fcourse! The beautiful and blessed music !!!
His best song, I think.
The voice hasn't changed since Frampton comes alive, always an underrated guitar player. Saw the tour to support "Comes Alive"... incredible talent and he hasn't changed a bit.
I love 💕 Peter Frampton
My favorite Frampton song. Just beautiful. He's also still got it.
I was a 18 year old kid moving out on my own. My little apartment, my black and white tv. But I had made enough money for a good stereo system. I listened to Frampton over and over on that turn table!!
Me too. My $500 stereo rested on cinder blocks and landscape timbers. LOL
@BC FOSTER HA ha ha....
@Rick Parker:
You certainly executed life’s most important PRIORITY correctly.
An oxymoron and marker of our generation only -- those Sound Systems !! Cinder Blocks ..milk crates ..tupperware..ivy crawling across the walls ..and 200watt speakers
Hell Yes
He was the first concert I had ever been to.. I was in the 10th grade. I just saw him in Atlanta this summer with my daughter. Although so much time has passed, this song always takes me back to a special time. I was reminded why I fell in love with his music in the first place. He is and will always be awesome! Thanks Peter for being a part of my life’s soundtrack 😊
This song transports me right back to a place in time I miss
You're not alone, for me it's one of those go-to songs when I need to smile and remember.......
me too !
Me too.
It was my fav song & we went the concert.
Had no idea our would be the greatest concert tour ever.
He took it's through the sky
I know, I think of 1976 and good times !
@@pattyoneill6724 Quite an era it was back then = FCA, Wings Over America, Hotel California and Rumours were fresh back then, and then there was the Boston debut album, as well as a host of other great songs and albums... Steve Miller's "Fly Like An Eagle", Bowie's "Golden Years", "The Manhattans "Kiss And Say Goodbye", Thin Lizzy's "The Boys Are Back In Town", the late Lou Rawls "You'll Never Find Another Love Like Mine", Aerosmith's "Back In The Saddle", Vickie Sue Robinson "Turn The Beat Around", Queen's "Somebody To Love" and many more = Back then, even pop radio styles were diverse... Not so much today, so this generation is pretty much a "one trick pony" = r&b/rap/hip-hop
He just gets better with age and experience. Gifted man.
Do we all feel like he does? I THINK SOOOOOOO!
let's all not forget mr.Bob Mayo framptons musical soulmate🎸🎹!
Great Peter Frampton God Bless.
RIP Bob Mayo. Such a great player.
Peter Frampton I love that music! remember bealtifull
❤ einer der besten Songs von P.F.❤
My 71 nova ss my beautiful long blond haired girlfriend in como park with all my friends.... this 8 track blasting, it just couldnt be a better time to be young and alive!! just graduated, life was so simple
About 10 years ago I was lucky enough to go see him at a small venue in Stafford Texas call the Stafford Center the whole purpose I went was to see 1 songs this one. Masterful performance the whole concert Peter's never gotten the credit than he deserves in my opinion one of the best guitar players ever top 5 and this song shows it also a Class Act band behind him especially the drummer who has played for many many different bands and never gotten the credit that he deserves. The song is one of the best written songs of all time.
Forget 'do you feel ...'! This is Peter Frampton's signature song!
Love the sound of his Les Paul.
I have been binge watching interviews of Peter and some performances for the past few days. I had his live album like everyone back when it came out and loved it, but I can't say I appreciated it on the whole like I should... until now. I am remembering this song vaguely from the album, but I really love it now. What a GREAT talent and a sincerely nice gentleman. I pray for him, that his health improves so he can continue playing and perhaps tour again. With God all things are possible...
Frampton is an improv player, he never plays the exact same solo twice. Sometimes he slightly misses, other times he hits a four run homer in the bottom of the ninth. This one is greatness
Anyone who has ever had a romance (or five or more) or even an unrequited infatuation (or five or more) can identify with this song. One of Peter’s best along with Something’s Happening, Show Me The Way, I Wanna Go To The Sun and Do You Feel Like We Do.
I recall very well 1976. My graduation year from high school. An so soothing to my ears to listen to Peter Frampton an let it wail, peter framton, let ot wail
Lovely ballad by such a sweet soul
Thank you Pete only I know how much easier your music made my life.
Brings back such great memories! Love Frampton!
Saw Peter like 7 years back at a CT. casino. Made My YEAR !! ..
I know I could never live in a world where there's NO music. This much I do know.
Excellent, excellent performance!!! One of the best versions for sure. Thanks for the upload! The British Government should Knight him as Sir Peter Frampton.
Great guitarist. Great songwriter. Great singer. Just a TON of talent across the board!
This song gets me, always had since 76
Best album ever
Saw him in 1976 and 1977 at JFK stadium in Philadelphia with 100,000 friends. Fast forward 40 years and hes playing in my hometown of Solomons MD in front of hundreds. Same raw talent without the hype of 1976.
Saw him do this live in tulsa three years ago... It was magic
Peter Frampton with his beautiful guitar lines
Corne, where in Detroit was this filmed? Pine Knob??
Love Peter Frampton!
Forever....heart felt...my brother..Eric forever.....
This is a great live performance. My favorite Frampton song. Thanks for uploading.
What a musician...beautiful guitar playing style ..true genius
Saw Peter August 1978, fabulous concert. Missed his farewell tour and I’m still lamenting about it. Enjoy his music.
Makes my heart sing
Wow just wow ...and I was there back when Frampton came alive.
Peter is such a natural, fine musician.
Humble Pie with Steve Marriott. Incredible interplay.
Stunning beautiful version of my favorite Frampton song. It reaches deep inside your heart in a way few songs able to do.
Can't get ENOUGH... since I was 12...
STILL MY ALL TIME FAVE...
He doesn’t get older got better, what a great artist.
World class then, world class now.
Close your eyes and it sounds just the same as it ever did. His Great voice never changed! Love It!!!
True so true
His fret works speaks to me..since 1976,,
Peter Frampton should be in the Rock and Hall fame. He is very gifted and well respected among his peers.
Some shows better than others...but a good one here.
Sir Peter Frampton. Back my 20th years!
♥️♥️
Frampton Comes Alive was new and I was going through a bad divorce, moved to a town where I hardly knew anyone. This song and album became my best friend, helped me get through a tough time. So sad to see him have to retire.
The best version
I'm 53 years old been listening to frampton since the 70s he was always an underrated guitar player but he was an always will be 1 of the greats in my opinion.
Beautiful!!....so so beautiful...I will never forget you Peter...never will...
Love this song pure genius.
Sooo much emotion in the lyrics and the guitar. You can feel his pain and pull for him to get through it. Obviously he did and became a better man having gone through it.
