It’s unbelievable how at our age of such an advanced technologies, this is the “best quality” home planetarium we can get with all these unrealistic pathetic shooting stars and so on…
Wait.. you complain it's not good enough? 😂 I know a remedy. Lock yourself up in a pitchblack room for 5 days without food, light or social interaction. Then try the projector again. See how you feel about it then.
Very informative! Is a white ceiling better than a black ceiling for these star projectors? Im still considering the Sega Flux from your previous review
You really need to look at the Govee galaxy projector, its amazing, its around 140$ but worth it. Trust me, watch a video on UA-cam, your welcome . I was thinking about getting one in this vid to combine
I got it and sent it back. Not worth the money imo. Stars were excellent but the nebulas were awful on the Govee one. If they did a cheaper version with just stars that would be much better
I like the Sega Flux. I want to get one but I’ve read a number of negative reviews on the discs sold on Amazon complaining about fingerprint smudges, dust, hairs on the discs. It’s unfortunate because there are some really cool looking discs.
Hey man! Thank you kindly for ur in-depth review. Would you please tell me which has the actual shooting star/meteor graphics shooting across the image??? Hope I hear back from u asap❤❤❤❤
I IMAGINE HAS SOMETHING TO DO WITH THE DISCS... THE ONES IN THE CHEAPER MODELS ARE PRETTY MUCH CONSUMABLES...LIKE 100 HRS EACH... THAT'S RIDICULOUS...i CAN'T FIND HOW MUCH THE CONSUMABLES PLACEMENT DISCS COST.
Can I ask what is your personal favorite overall between these planetary and the star projectors? Like what do you find youself using the most because it's the nicest. 🤔🙏
Can't the sega flux or Matataki use the ds discs? making it versatile since it can use the ds chrome and colored discs that are also larger in diameter than the ds-fx?
.. does it connect to wifi & smartphone to display realtime coordination of the stars and planets outside like the Stellarium apps on the android ?.. my ceiling are flat black for this project..
I have the Picoco but rarely use it because it has one dealbreaker feature - it turns off automatically after 2 hours. There is no way to stop this shutoff.
@@truthseeker6377thanks for the compliment im no geniius tho just common sense. i don’t have a tv but It’s healthy to get up for 15 mins every hour or two. And getting up to turn on that projector takes less than 30 secs lol
They all suck at least the DS-FX is using a real moon image the others look like ai generated garbage. I guess ill just get a normal projector and display my own images.
A projector with such a short throw, low light (pitch black blacks, and high enough resolution is several thousands and yet, you'll still have noise and heat. If you use youtube video (and smart player or chromecast or computer), you won't give high resolution, you’ll get annoying ads, non fluent image/movement, no automatic replay, unrealistic images etc. This video projector idea is easy to say, but really hard to achieve and absolutely not convenient. Good setups exist, but for large facilities, cost the price of a luxury car, and needs tech staff to install, calibrate, maintain and operate. If you are satisfied with the consumer grade video projector for this, you'll surely be with a good E-waste thing for ten percent of the cost. And it will take you five minutes to set up.

DS-FX will be my pick.

u make one then

@@romeojoshpHe's not wrong
I kind of agree. Can’t believe there’s not like a 3D one that looks like you’re flying through space. Is that too much to ask 😂
Alright genius let’s see you make one?
Picoco looks like it has the better projection and colors!
Very informative! Is a white ceiling better than a black ceiling for these star projectors?

Yea, white ceiling is more ideal to create a brighter image.
But is the ds-fx better then the homestar extra? Because i have the extra and dont know ive there is any difference
seems like orzorz has a new model with big improvements, would be cool if you could cover it!
I'm very undecided, please help me, which one? 😮
It seems like Pococo's light power is lower than others.

Ds fx looks the most natural to me
are there any other options besides disc based projectors for the home, or a bit more enthusiast market?
I like the Sega Flux. I want to get one but I’ve read a number of negative reviews on the discs sold on Amazon complaining about fingerprint smudges, dust, hairs on the discs. It’s unfortunate because there are some really cool looking discs.
Wierd!? A simple wipe should solve the trick, but still never had that happen to me!?

Sega Flux.
The Sega Flux is twice the price as the DS-FX and Pococo and nearly 5X of the Orzos. Is it that much better? The shooting stars is awesome

Love the Miller Engineering disks for the Sega flux
Can someone tell me why they don't just use an old projector and connect it to nasa images
I think perhaps power consumption which could be a factor if you are considering using it a lot
Excellent and very professional contrast with facts and details. Solid Intel
Much appreciated! Thanks for the kind words
Sorry but can you tell me why is the better for you because you see close what projector suggests
Great comparison video, thank you! 💫
I feel like the DS is my better choice. Hopefully they can get some colored disks soon?
My is pococo😮❤
I want a projector with a warp drive feature.
So i can buy Orzors discs and use them in Pococo, vice versa right?
Yes.
@@FUTURESPACECOLLECTIVE Thanks.
Are the Homestar disks compatible with an another planétarium??
great video, realy informative. what happed to the LaView X1 Star Projector, you previously mention on your channel?
Does anybody know if a $50 home projector can be pointed up to do something like this?
DSFX no longer available on Amazon
Back to searching for a different one
dude, how do i buy ds-fx? it's out of stock everywhere -_-

nooo it’s just a cool looking pattern
Pococo or Sega homestar classic?
I have the Picoco but rarely use it because it has one dealbreaker feature - it turns off automatically after 2 hours. There is no way to stop this shutoff.
Turn it back on then!
@@mstevens113 sure, set the mood and get relaxed, only to have it interrupted out of nowhere and have to get up to turn it back on. How great!!
Yep turn it back on not hard
@@StormBK good point, I'm sure you don't use a remote control for your tv cause you're a genius

I LIKE the Orzoz
How come you didn’t throw the Govee one into the mix?
Fair question! I feel as though the Govee didn't really fit the category as the primary viewing or effect is from the laser stars.
I hope you didn’t stop making videos I just discovered you
I like the Pocono buuut it doesn't have a meteor option soo.... I guess the orzorz
They all suck at least the DS-FX is using a real moon image the others look like ai generated garbage. I guess ill just get a normal projector and display my own images.
Have you tried this yet? The throw angle is my concern
its ORZORZ, per your amazon link
I was hoping to see the orzorz plus on here….
Pococo tiene estrella fugaz??
Cuál de todas recomiendas bro ?
HOW LONG DOES THE DISCK ON EACH LAST...I READ THAT THE DISCS IN THE CHEAPER PLANETARIUMS LAST LIKE 100 HOURS??? THAT;S NOTHING...
Ds-fx
Govee galaxy!!
Wich of all of them will cover all the bedroom?
Pococo🎉
Can we use them in car for roof decor
Dayum. E-waste at its finest. Better to aim an actual projector at your ceiling and play a YT space video

He uses the word "disc" countless times, suggesting these have a disc tray for a CD-ROM or DVD... very confusing use of the word "disc".
...All of these projectors do have disc-trays and do indeed use little discs
I have bought it and now regrets. No more buying things like that.
I would get little astronaut with lovely nebula and "stars"
