Billy Preston a legend who can say he played with both the Beatles and the Stones in their prime. R.I.P. Billy and Charlie
saw Billy in 1993 I think ,at a club called The Yucatan Liquor Stand, I've seen lots of concert/shows and his was top 3, no doubt. Still talk about it today with friends. He played his hits, he played Stones songs,Beatles,...the dude was born to entertain
black and blue is getting greater with each passing moment as only a true masterpiece can
It's a f-ing Masterpiece. Riping like only the finest red wines do ❤
Correct!
its so forgotten and i dont know what because its so classic
@@nosferatu8530Riping or RIPENING?
@@lemurianchick good question, help me out 🤣
That sounds rough and dirty, while very classy at the same time : that's the Rolling stones, the best rock and roll band ever.
Yes indeed! One of my favorites. Waiting for deluxe edition with bonus material
Nothing classy about this
At least that's what they used to be
@@zachbos5108usta be?? Go back to sleep Zach
That was funky kick ass rock n roll. Are you glad you lived to hear the rolling stones music folks.
Yes
Billy Preston was so awesome. Fit perfectly with the Stones vibe and sound in the 70s 🎶
That rough Jagger voice that cannot be matched by anyone in the rock n roll history... Pure joy!

That final dance between Mick and Billy Preston is so amazing. Love these guys. Best band in the world! Love from Argentina!
Yeah, it's something little children do from joy all over the world, every day.
I fuking love Mick, there will never be another Mick, Rolling Stones rule
He's THERE.
Very true : there is only one Mick Jagger in the history of music! Unique genius.
Black and Blue is one of their best albums.
Greatest band in the world, ever. Thank God for the Rolling Stones. What they brought to music, only they could have done it.
@Mick Jagger WoW, that would be awesome!!!
@@francoisdesnoyers3042 Black and Blue, Sticky Fingers, Tattoo You, Some Girls, Let It Bleed, "Hot Rocks" (really made life easier in the albums days), many others too, Iconic. "One of their best" can be said on so many of their productions. I hope they live forever and keep making music

Best frontman of a rock band ever. Wonder if we'll ever see another as great. Pure excitement
I doubt someone can match his confidence and energy.
Have to beg to differ. Freddie Mercury would get my vote.
@@iainstirling1475 Freddie could never match jagger’s energy
Mick is and always will be the Best my obsession

With all their hits and great albums, Black & Blue is my favorite. Completely different than any others. Not popular or commercialized but I absolutely love it!
I've always stuck up for Black n Blue when people diss it ,I realise it's not as significant a record as Main Street or Sticky Fingers but it's got some great stuff on it particularly Hey Negrita , Memory Motel and Hand of Fate.
The transitional album. One of my favorites. More variety than any other album I would have liked to hear more of Alan Perkins who played the leads on Hand of Fate.
And those are the reasons you do like it - we call that Hipster smarty pants
@@BlueBeeMCMLXI I don't like people throwing around the word "commercial" regarding music either. This song stands on its own, and I love it. Not just because of the outrageaous clip, but because it's the Stones how I like 'em: dirty and not giving a f.
I agree though: If you don't like "popular" and "commercialized", you'd better avoid (current) Stones. Ironically though, I have always believed that with Satisfaction, they wrote the first punk song there ever was. Just read the friggin lyrics. It's the one song all of the punk movement originated from, wether they realize it or not.
It’s a weak Stones album. 8 tracks including total throwaways Melody and Cherry Baby. The two ballads are solid and the standout is Hand Of Fate. Not one of their best as Richards was a mess at the time and his lack of involvement and direction shows.
Only Mick can rock such ridiculous outfit with such confidence.
very feshionable artis..
Also freddie mercury?
What about Sean Connery in the movie Zardoz, Rebecca?
And Elton John

together with Hot Stuff .... amazing. Whole record is a masterpiece
The Stones, especially Ron and Keith look so cool
This song has an amazing riff from Ron Wood.
He came up with this song, the very 1st day he joined the band.
One?
This is just great. Love Mick's and Billy 's dancing.
RIP Charlie Watts.A Rolling Rock Hero for Eternity.
Some of the Grooviest guitar chord sounds, ever to be put on vinyl.
@MICHAEL DAMATO the sounds, riff or the chords?
@@paolocoletti1574 the sus chords from Keith I think..and the fab slide playing
Ronnie Wood wrote these licks.
One of the few times "groovy" is absolutely the discription!
I am facinated by Mick's performances and looks around this time, what an artist. Love you over the M. 🤍
Yes the 1975/76 Mick was the most outrageous looks.. je is the King of Rock
You weren't there. "around this time" but earlier or later? No, Not so much. You are superficial as it gets.
Woody criminally underrated. Always had to play second fiddle to Keef but he came up with killer riffs and gorgeous solos, and never got the recognition he deserves. He's one of the best, he is...
Seriously, Giorgio, it was the two of them together, just a GREAT chemical reaction between an extremely talented pair...
This is his riff...and It's fantastic! Ronnie is amazing but Keith is God.
And as James says they two together are.....wow! It's like an orgasm!
Well... he certainly got the credit he deserves from real fans like me. Let no one forget that Stay With Me, Every Picture Tells a Story and many other of the Rod Stewart Faces era gems were huge contributions from him before he even got into The Stones.
Appar the start of the song was all him and Mick went with it
@@xraeddie I agree. He gets a lot of love from the fans. Rightfully so. I'm 100% sure the band wouldn't exist anymore if Ronnie hadn't joined.
This album, man. Massive, massive grooves throughout and songs that have only gotten better with time. Panned by most of the rock critics back in the day (for what frkn reason you'll never know) I remember Dave Marsh writing that with the exception of Hand of Fate, Keith had seemingly run out of melodic ideas. Well, Dave, you were wrong.
Awesome Billy Preston dancing with Mick.
This clip was recorded at the Ostseehalle in Kiel, during the "Fool to Cry- Tour" of 1976. I have been there at the Concert in 1976 ! Real hot stuff!
Better than the album version. They're really feeding off of each other. Really tasty jam.
Jagger killed it in this! His vocals, his movements. Swoon.
Yes he did! He kills it in Hot Stuff too! Great videos.
Black and Blue conveys a very strong and successful atmosphere all the way through. Beautiful!
@@francoisdesnoyers3042 hot stuff is amazing too!! very great videos indeed! I agree! And Black and Blue is honestly a pretty underrated stones album aswell!
No one like him onstage! Mick is the best!
Check out the Hives ''Walk Idiot Walk.'' It's a take-off of Mick and one of the Stones music clips.
Charlie's facial expressions always make me laugh. Always acting like he's got more important things to do.

Charlie's in The Zone.😉
Charlie says F Reggae I'm playing rock and roll.

One of the few stones recorded tracks where you can hear the real volume of the guitars and drums, the drums have a wonderful thwack❤️
This is a brilliant and much under estimated Stones album.Driven mainly by Mick if memory serves me correctly because of KR state of mind.
Black and Blue, one of my favourite albums from the STONES!!
One of the Stones best riffs!
Keith and Ronnie always masterfully play off each other.

A great yet underrated song. Shoutout to Ronnie for reviving the guitar weaving art perfected by The Stones.
Mick, Keef, Charlie, Ron, ya got and have always had a groove so hard and dirty a diamond couldn't scratch it. I'm a super fan, been along for the entire 50 years, and loved every minute of it. Your music will be played at my wake...no way I'd rather end it that with the songs I lived with. Thank You for all you have given to us, the fans...all the money and fame in the world is not compensation enough!

What a sound, the stones at the very top 🎸
Black and Blue is one great album fresh and always new.I like the sound.
I believe the word your looking for is *cocaine*
Brilliant. Endless groove and endless geeked-up weirdness! 4:51 summing up the entire 1970s :)
Yeah well this just became one of my fave Rolling songs, and I didn't even know it existed. Wow.
Never was a Stoner (I was glued to them from Beggar's Banquet to Let it Bleed) but yeah there's a few tunes have slipped through the cracks over the years.
Awesome vocal. The whole damned thing's infectious as all hell. Ear candy deluxe.
Ollie Brown and Billy Preston holding it down in the rhythms section
the absolute greatest in rock n roll history
Never heard this before. Great song!! Suddenly I'm very interested in the Black and Blue album!
‘Melody’ featuring Billy Preston is worth a listen as well.

great song and video from the BEST rock n roll band ever. Love you guys!!!!
Some of the best guitar interplay between Ronnie Wood and Keith Richards.
not to take away anything from keefs playing but woody is really a force to be reckoned with. hes a major part of their guitar sound and is mostly overlooked.
It seems that Ron Wood often gets put into the second row after following the great Mick Taylor..... and believe me I love the MT stones years ! I think Ronny is a great guitarist and brought a different edge to the stones that you can really hear on this track .... its fantastic because of him. Which brings me to my second point which is the Black & Blue album as a whole. I loved it when I first bought it as a teen in the 70's and it's still one of my all time faves from this band, and as others have mentioned it just gets better with each listen.
My favorite Stones song. Have owned a copy of Black and Blue since it's first release in '76.All the lyrics that I've seen say "Going to get your boss, boy" in the last verse. I've always heard "Get your bottle mama, gonna tan your hide". Probably my favorite rock-n-roll line of all time.
I've always heard it the same way as you do, it can't be anything else.

The Rolling Stones and I go way back. Back to the days of Juke Boxes. Their first album came out a couple of years after I had reached puberty. I, and the World, haven't been the same since. They embody the essence of Rock and Roll, taking us back to the root--The Blues--while at the same time propelling us forward through decades and generations.
God Bless America & You and Yours
Well spoken that man ...couldn't of put it better myself , feel blessed to have these boys to fall back on all through my life ....
Those gay for pay blues.
Criminally underrated song. I love it!
The guitar interplay between Keith Richards and Ron Wood is impressive, very exciting. And the sublime keyboards of Billy Preston, of course.... What a great musician.
"Black And Blue" is a sensational and eclectic album, really enjoyable.
Rolling Stones forever
I'm a huge Stones fan - but that outfit ...what the heck was Mick thinking? Love the song and, in fact, the whole Black and Blue album is awesome. I remember listening to it back in '76.
I actually like it. So bad that it's wild.
El baile final de Billy Preston y Jagger, es impagable, grandes momentos de los vídeos de los Rolling Stones
Me hace pensar que la "negrita" es la de Billy. Aunque sospecho que debería ser una negrrrrrota.
Mick Jagger is just so glorious😍🔥🕺🏾⚡❤
Black and blue is a top contender for most underrated stones album
No 1 album, in my opinion.
This so completely removed from their early sixties material and yet it’s so utterly Stones. It’s my favorite song on this album and one of their best overall, all built around that killer main riff Ronnie came up with.
Its 70s Stones. Best album from 70s next after Exile and sticky
Best album Ever And Forever !!! Black and blue
Always loved the guitar in this song....so "tough" sounding, especially the part after the 3:40 mark
Such a killer tune. Groove just gets me
O ! M ! G ! 🌟 Rolling Stones forever! 💕💖 I love you boys ❤️💘
Masterpiece.
Always like the funk in the rock house.Ronnie is great!

100 % RONNIE WOOD Gran aporte a la banda,GRACIAS RONNIE!!!

Bill is great, always so down to Earth.
BEST BAND IN ALL TIME ROCK !
The only question who is on third place?
@@sommerioslo I don't think there is anyone in second place. All those bands that are good enough to be there do very different things with music : 2-The Beatles, 3-Led Zeppelin, would be my choices. 4- could be Pink Floyd (with Waters), although Genesis from 69 to 74 were better. 4th place is tougher :-)
@@francoisdesnoyers3042 yes good coment
Sehr gut 👍
Black and Blue album is so underrated.
Totally agree! I have the original vinyl Spent all summer listening to both sides in France!
I remember the billboard over Sunset Boulevard in L.A. that advertised the Black and Blue album when it first came out. It showed a woman tied up and spreadeagled, having bruises all over her body. A caption said, "I'm black and blue for the Rolling Stones." Needless to say, women's groups objected and it came down. The Stones didn't always show the best of taste.
What makes you believe it's underrated? Did you travel the globe taking a survey from every citizen of the world? Please explain.
@@gogoyubari366 It got mixed reviews when originally released and there was a controversy about the misogynist imagery on a billboard advertising the album. Personally, it's one of my favorites because it doesn't really sound like a Stones album. They were experimenting with something new.
Underrated by who , this is the album that cements Ronnie in the band and puts the dirt back on the Stones
This is what a great band sounds like!!!
Very cool from the cloths, to the lyrics, to the guitar riffs. Gotta love the stones from that era.

I LOVE ROLLING STONES!!!
Ronnie and Keith so good together. best bromance
Jimmy K Ronnie doesn't get nearly enough love from the general public IMO. I suspect HE'S the reason we still have the Stones at this late date.
they are the coolest guitar duo ever
Ronnie made it a lot more fun and smiles for Keith later, with the previous guitarists there was never any fun interaction, with Mick Taylor there was none, just serious each on his own.
@@paolocoletti1574 that’s bc Mick Taylor was light years better than Keith. But he was nowhere near as good as Keith when it came to songwriting.
@@shers338 no, it's not flat out because of that, and Keith is a hell of a soloist when he wants to, but nobody then can hold down the motor rhythm fort with the necessary guitar tunings he uses or not, that original feel can only come from him. There are plenty of players who blow away Taylor and have a great joyful and interactive time with the other musicians and the audience instead of looking like studious white boy blues serious guitar performer. The interaction that Ronnie brought to Keith is priceless, both guitar wise and enjoyment wise.
