My late cousin Rashid, a Casanova-gifted student at the Art Institute of California in San Francisco in 1980s, used to tell me all kinds of stories behind the lyrics in this album, which he had probably lived. Twenty years posthumously, rather than visiting his gravesite and looking sadly at a tombstone, I listen to the Rolling Stones' Black & White album which seems to bring my beloved cousin back to life.
