If it does not take the coding there is most likely a code in the system. If the original module is still installed the coding can be pulled from the original module before swapping

How are you doing Keith? I did just what you are saying I pulled the coding from the original, but the new SRS module doesn't take it "Coding failed". The drivers seat is out of the car could that be why it doesn't take the coding?

After subscribing and obtaining the variant code, I plugged in the VIN of several 2015 and 2016 Sportages and they all had the same variant code, so not specific to the VIN but just the model. Used module worked fine. Might not be true in the newer models but worth checking before buying new.

Thanks for your assistance! Already have access to Hyundai and Kia Service info, just didn't know where to go to get the coding. Body shops don't know much of anything outside of $$$$

I called my dealer and gave the parts guy the VIN.... and he gave me the code.... after spending 600 dollars on a new module, that was nice of him.... now... how to program the code into the new module!

Thanks, I was able to find the acu variant code and coded 2015 santa fe with autel scanner, took the santa fe 3 times to different dealer and where not able to do the coding. Thanks again
