If you are not a professional technician, do not attempt this repair. This video is for educational purposes only. In this video, I was careful not to move the module at all while the battery was connected. I failed to mention this and it is the difference between everything going smoothly or all airbags deploying. I can't expect everyone's results to match mine, so I urge you to bolt the airbag module to the body while the battery is still disconnected. This prevents any inadvertent motion that could possibly result in all airbags deploying.
Thanks for sharing this with us Mario, again you do an amazing job in your videos explaning your process every step of the way! Thanks for putting this together for us to learn from!
Hey bro I have a 2019 veloster base 2.0 which originally came with the halogen headlights but it was in an accident and the shop put the nicer (still stock) led ones. Getting an error saying light bulb low out every second on dash very very annoying! The headlights are sealed unfortunately so no way to install a decoder. Do u know if its possible to program ecu or cluster somehow? The original headlamps are very expensive. Thanks

Hello there , I follow your video along but when I click on airbag system it says that it can’t communicate with the airbag module , is this case how can I get the current code to program it in the new one ??? Thanks
Great video as always so Thank You for that. Just got to watch Keith's live stream....12 hours later.... and sounds like he will be quite happy in his new home and position. Hope all are safe and healthy.
The AEB needs to be calibrated due to front collision. The Factory tool pulls it automatically and makes it a fairly quick and easy process. I do alot of these for the body shops. Good video showing another way to get the job done.
Oooo buddy, bold to plug that module in when it is not bolted down. It would be wild if that module fell off the other one and the car thought it was rolling over or something. Great video though man! Keep up the awesome work!
Hello Mario, nice video, i work on airbag modules, so we normally remove crash data and install it back. Very brave to connect a module without any bolts to ground it. I seen many of my customers have the roof airbags and seat belts locked for leaving the module loose. Carefull next time.
@@SuperMarioDiagnostics not risky if you know what you are doing, i know people in California, New York, Massachusetts, Georgia, that do programming on srs modules, Do you know where is illegal? keep the videos coming, Take care.
Saul Martinez my mistake not illegal by law, but a technician can be criminally charged if they erased crash data and the module failed to deploy bags in an event of a crash after the erasure. That's why there's not a single OEM procedure that includes erasing crash data.
@@SuperMarioDiagnostics i understand your point of view and of course there is no information on OEM manuals, just like there is no info on ECM cars with global A architecture in which you cant used a used ECM, but some.of us can virginize them and reuse them or cloning them ,you feel me? this could be a never ending discussion lol take care bud.
Great video Mario. It's just stupid the way automakers are going, not only you have to replace the module, but also code it to the vehicle. There are some companies that can reset SRS , not sure if this one can be reset

Super Mario Diagnostics was going to ask.
I have a 17' Elantra that was flooded. The original module is rusted and doesn't work. Is there any other way to get this code

The only way you'll get rid of that light is to install the correct headlamps
@@SuperMarioDiagnostics ok thanks. I was hoping there would be a simpler way ! The headlights are ridiculously pricy..

Good info Mario! And Keith is the man! Few people are as helpful as he is.
Thanks for sharing Bro👍
Really educational process👍
What if the old ACU was not available, is there any way to retrieve the code😉
Stay safe Bro ❤
That would be very difficult if at all possible.
can the acu change be changed on used module

Yep it was the G sensor lol
The farsight is down and we have gds2 in it. I totally forgot to mention that in the video 🤦🏻♂️
Thanks for watching Mike!
Thanks for your useful info.
but if I lost communacation with Airbag module How can I get module code NO ?!!

What happens if the old module is dead and you can't get the code?
Oh, that was something like Baby in Arm searching in House.
Great tip.
Great video Mario thanks for sharing! At least Keith didn’t have you working too too hard!
Thankfully the last shop kept the module!
Thank you Mario. Good job. Keith, you too. Have a blessed and safe week to you and your families.
Thanks for the video
Good to have friends to reach out
Nice work brother, I got a question, how would you get the variant code if the module was a no communication?
EEPROM FTW! 😆 but yeah that would suck
Super Mario Diagnostics that’s what I was thinking lol. Have you done any eeprom yet?
Good Q.. I was wondering the same. As usually modules are DOA.
Oem tool will get it done no problem. No need for old module
@@codysautodiagnosticsprogra8706 its not an eeprom, that info more likely is inside the Infeneon microchip.
As always great job ,and Great solving skills !!

Ground is provided by wiring.
I think it's riskier(not to mention illegal in certain areas) to delete crash data

Actually gm does provide info as to which cars are global a architecture.
Ecms are not safety restraint systems though
take care 👍
Thank you, Mario!
Great work Mario, Thanks a lot
Great Job Bro...as always. Cheers
Thanks mario, good info

As always great job!

Is that a maxisys elite Mario? And would you chose it over the Bosh ADS 625 ? It's time for my upgrade. Thanks buddy!
autel im608 is what he is using
@@plcauto is it more capable than the elite?
@@LASKY-xf3ok i would say yes just because you have the option of programming keys, its like saying Elite and IM 508 put together.
