    I can’t drive long distances so stopping for food, rest or charging my car is perfect for me. Owning a Tesla has made me realize how much time and money I’ve wasted on IVE cars I’ve owned before. Oil changes, break replacements, smog checks and has fueling it up with gas every week. The only time I go to a gas station now is to fuel up my wife’s 2013 Infiniti fx37.

      Agreed, even if stopping more frequent means more time in the long run I'm less tired and fatigued from driving. I did a trip to San Francisco same day on my Model Y (800 mile round trip) and was not tired at all. Stopped twice to charge each way and never once felt tired or fatigued.

    Such a bargain. I just upgraded in October from an original RWD M3 to a 5 seater Model X. What a difference in ride quality and comfort and so much more quiet. I'm really excited for Model X's upcoming evolutions. Not to cope about "the next best thing" but there's so much in the Cybertruck that will take X to the next level. 48V, camera washers, suspension improvements, steer by wire, rear wheel steering, V2L, faster charging, LFP/4680.
    I have a new car but when I need to buy again, the X's lined up updates bring lots of hope. If it doesn't win a spot in my garage it'll only because someone else brought out something better.

U might as well be driving.
      I suggest u watch these videos before claiming tesla has better tech. Tesla got last place in auto Parking becuase it barely works for parallel parking. It also got last place In self driving because u can't be hands free and look down at all without going into tesla jail. Other car brands let u do anything and its hands free. Also they said BMWs was the smoothest where as tesla would randomly jolt u at times and the steering wheel constantly goes left right left right when ur just doing straight. BMW has a HUD, 360 cam, better looking by a mile, and actual luxury high grade interior. Name one thing tesla does better tech wise or other. That's actually useful for everyday use.

That fact alone makes this one of the most dangerous vehicles to drive on the road. Using the horn is often critical to avoid an accident. Tesla should retrofit these with the steering wheels that have the horn back on the center.

    Also interesting that Gjeebs has had Model X videos in the past and he has evaluated the Model X in videos previously in detail, but in alot of discussion here, it seems he has not much idea of how the car works ("How do I put it in reverse?... ) :\. I Got the long range x... to be honest it's also insane speed Wise(I drive in insane mode) use the drag mode and you get 3.2 0-60 I couldn't see the need for the extra power that I rarely ever use, also the 5% range drop on the plaid isn't a huge deal but is something... they jacked up the plaid price by 5k the day before I ordered otherwise I would've just done that though... couldn't see spending 10k extra on it

      Agreed, the Long rage is plenty fast but for me at the time of purchase it was only a $4,000 difference between long range and Plaid so paying $4,000 for a boost increase + better brakes and carbon fiber interior felt like a no brainer.

      @@richardcoughlin8931 It's hard to predict when to buy a Tesla because their pricing is so erratic. Leasing is not a bad thing because these cars are constantly improving and battery technology is getting better. I've always wanted an X but for me paying $100,000+ wasn't worth it. I loved the Y because it's a great car and doesn't break the bank hence why they're the #1 selling Tesla vehicle right now.

Love the falcon wing doors - game change in getting the kiddo in and out. Third row is so much easier to get in and out with the 6 seat configuration compared to our other 7 seater model Y. The Y is a bit more fun to drive in the city when I’m alone and not launching the car compared to the bigger X.

    The real question is the Model X Plaid worth the extra 22k over the LR?

    • @joel89039
      @joel89039 Рік тому +1

      The performance is totally different after being in both but with that being said the LR is already so fast.... Really depends on how you will drive it. The plaid makes the LR seems slow haha. If you buy a LR don't ever ride in a plaid.....

    • @mondobytes
      @mondobytes Рік тому +4

      The difference isn't $22k it's $8,500. This is exactly what I said in my video, when I added the 6 seat configuration to LR model the price difference (when I bought it) was about $4,000. Since then the price has increased a bit and it's now $8,500. But even at $8,500 it's worth getting the Plaid over the LR because not only is it wayy faster, you're getting better brakes (Red calipers are cool too) and carbon fiber interior.

    • @RT-zg9qi
      @RT-zg9qi Рік тому

      Base model X LR with no options is 79,900 minus $7500 is 71900. so it is acutally 23,500 difference. To me that is not worth it at all.

    • @ArmandoFerreira
      @ArmandoFerreira Рік тому +1

      @@RT-zg9qi You're comparing Apples to Oranges though. The Model X LR doesn't come standard with a 6 seat configuration the Plaid does. This is exactly the scenario that I was in, I didn't care about owning a Plaid I was fine with LR model. However, we needed a 6 seat configuration because I have 3 kids so that bumped the price up by $6,500. When I bought my Plaid X at the time the difference was $4,000 between LR with 6 seat configuration and Plaid. It was a no brainer choosing the Plaid, $4,000 meant I got a much faster car, better brakes and carbon interior. This is why I say the true difference is $8,500 because of the 6 seat configuration difference which IMO is the best configuration you can get on the X. Sure if you don't need or want that configuration you can save more money but everyone I've talked too or people that own an X go for the 6 seat which at that point it's honestly best to just get the Plaid which IS WORTH IT.

    • @RT-zg9qi
      @RT-zg9qi Рік тому

      i actually think the 6 seat is the worst. The second row seats don't fold and there are no arm rests which make the seats very uncomfortable. Not worth it at all if you can get the 7500 tax credit on the LR. Sorry but the 1.3 sec 0-60, slightly better brakes and carbon interior is not worth 23k.
