now that was fun. i found you via the kai hahto connection (i think john g mentioned you) and you made me appreciate his drumming even more than i already do. then i saw you react to gavin harrison and congrats, you are my first youtube subscription. however, i'd like to challenge the "fastest blasts" thing, and no, i'm not coming up with someone doing gravity blasts. it's nils "dominator" fjellström, here with 1349: ua-cam.com/video/1KXUhrThs68/v-deo.html also, the drum cam video of "vobiscum satanas" with dark funeral is just unreal. it's a better angle, but i chose the 1349 one for the blasting speed (and the duration of the song). how about some alex bent (trivium)? some of the best technique and musicality i've seen in metal. he's got lots of playthrough videos. besides metal, baard kolstad of leprous is a must. maybe start with "illuminate", "the sky turns red" is also quite the ride. most intelligent and creative drumming i've seen recently. finally, maybe some eloy casagrande? love your reactions, insight and analysis. keep up the great work! i'm not a drummer, btw. cheers from the other side of the rhythm section

270bpm for this song. They have many other songs that are 270-280bpm Many top metal drummers can go up to 260 but 270 and above is a struggle for vast majority of even the best pro drummers to play clean
I recommend at least listening to Wuthering Heights. They're a Danish prog metal/folk metal / power metal band, but they are not well known at all. As far as I know, there are no live videos, let alone drum cams, but they are one of my favourite bands. Even if you don't react to them, give them a listen. It's pretty impressive playing, that's for sure. My only criticism of his is that he really only has one dynamic, but he nails it. My buddy Shawn is the drummer in Arsis and when they toured with Fleshgod Apocalypse a number of years ago, Francesco was getting an interview done with Sickdrummer during one of their stops. I guess he asked Shawn to sit in with him for the interview and more or less said, "I don't really know what I'm doing, I just play fast." I always thought that was pretty hilarious 😂

As someone who likes intense drumming but cannot play, seeing your reactions and more importantly, explanations, is really enjoyable. Nicer than what feels like forced "WOW!"s and other over the top stuff. Have a sub! Would love to see you cover some more death metal drumming and such. As for more cams of the guy in this video, there isnt much that I've found that shows things clearly. Francesco has moved to vocals for Fleshgod Apocalypse, but their current drummer Eugene is a beast as well and there is a great video of him drumming Thru Our Scars. For other stupid fast drumming, there is a vocal free video of Infant Annihilator - C**tcrusher that is pretty intense

well boi let me tell you something about that its fake aron cant play it and the video of it is big edited but there a drummers out there who can play it but he cant u can see in the video he cant keep up with the tempo
@@TheFreakmaster1999 aaron absolutely can play it and there's video of him playing it(not the playthrough that most people watch). that being said, a lot of their studio stuff is a drum machine and NOT aaron playing
@@agentsmith413 met aaron a while back and even he said he cant play it conistant enought and he dosnt care about it it works with programmed parts so it comes down to prefrence does takes away from the music for most people for my part if i cant replicate something every time i play it i wouldnt call it i can play it but yeah everybody sould enjoy wat they like
