I had back surgery and this is one of the exercises they highly recommend in physical therapy for straightening your core which is very important in supporting your back. The way they told me to do it is the same motion you'll do with your stomach if you want to get into a pair or jeans 2 sizes too small and you're sucking your stomach in. They also said that this is such a great exercise because you can do it anywhere anytime, seating, standing, stock in traffic, doing dishes no excuses.
So your telling me after months of doing hardcore exercises I could have just breathed in, hold it 20-30 sec 10-20 reps and breathe out. 🤦🤦. Okay & Thank You 👌👏
It works.. no kidding, try it, it burns like hell.. and that's because your targeting muscle you don't normally use or feel, as oppose to abs. I suggest doing exactly what she is doing BUT twisting your your waist from side to side motion.. you'll start to feel it deeper into the muscles of the rib cage area and deep into the muscles sitting under the love handles.. again it will BURN.. but in a short time you'll see results. If you want that tiny waist.. this is it.

For those who don't know, these exercises are called hypopressive breathing and there are plenty of variations! Doing these 5-7 days a week, only 10 min when you wake up REALLY made a difference for me so I totally recommend it Something I see in everyone who talks about these exercises is that you should try to "fake" filling your lungs with air, following this sequence: breathe in > breathe out > pull your stomach in while faking the movement of breathing in (fake filling lungs with air) > hold it as much as you can (around 10-20 seconds) > relax > repeat I'm not sure I made myself clear but looking up "hypopressive breathing/exercises" will explain you better!! I loved the way Vicky made a new version and will try it myself :)

This really works. I've been doing this for almost 2 mouths almost everyday consistenly and i lost 3-4 inches off my waist(from 30 inches to 26-27 depends if i am bloated this actually helps with bloated too) combined with a little bit of diet. This actually is more effective to be done while you are doing any type of cardiovascular exercises at the same time.

Okay, so I did this for around two months (literally not even everyday, I would just do it subconsciously since I’m used to it, without any specific time or anything) and I eat so much junk (I workout a bit) and my waist went from a 29 to a 26.
I did this excersie around 5 a times a day. On the second day i already started seeing results. I've always been skinny, but have huge ribs so its difficult for me to be curvy and have a small waist. Even though i cant have that hourglass look, doing this excersise hardened the fat around my ribs, making me look less squared. I do feel I have longer torso. I repeat. ON THE SECOND DAY. It is really easy to do, takes no time. Do it while watching tv.
Day 3: definietly the fat around my ribs has tightened together, my waist looks more defined. i hope by the end of the week, i can see a a long curve. I made a variation twisting my body to the sides
This legit works. I used to do this all the time growing up and had a define abdomen despite not working out. I stopped after a while and noticed how that definition left.

I’ve had that problem to and I figured out that it’s all from form. Even if you feel like you’re doing it right, you’re probably not if you don’t feel it. I have been trying to do different variations and I finally found one that actually hurts.Experiment and I’m sure you’ll feel the burn in no time! P.S. you usually won’t get results unless you’re doing it right, and if you do get results, they are just not as good results as they would’ve been.
My mother told me if I held my stomach in as a child, I wouldn't have to worry much about it when I got older. She was right. I realize that I've been doing this exercise my entire life and often when I'm not even thinking about it. The more you do this, the more you'll do it unconsciously throughout your day =)

I've done this for 4 years. I went from a 26.5 inch waist in the morning to a 23.5 inch waist in the morning. I just had a baby 2 months ago and am at 25/26 inches but I'm going to start doing these again! Excellent during pregnancy to snap back fast as well!

Omgg no wonder, when I was 14 years old I always used to do this for fun I never knew this was helping my waist, everyone always complimented me about my waist. Later as I grew I stopped doing this and I sort of lost the curves :( thanks for saying I'll do it again ^_^
(I'm talking from an already skinny person point of view. I don't know how this works for people who want to lose belly weight, I'm speaking for myself and I wanted this exercise to help me tone my abs and help with love handles) I did this exercise for a month and my waist went down 1 inch (from 25 inches to 24 inches) and my abs got even more defined (toned elevens), so I really really recommend this exercise. I used to do it 20 reps of 20 sec. a day, but omg it's too difficult and it takes a lot of time, so I went down to 10 reps of 10 sec. a day. Might update progress. (Weight 52kg - height 175 cm, if this info helps). Have a nice day and good luck for your goals :))
Guys it really works! I’ve been doing it for 3 days now and ate everything I wanted. I see some definition already and my stomach is really hard. For example when I sit I don’t have three rolls of fat anymore. It’s really easy to do like while walking. It really worked so try it out. You’ll not be disappointed!

FYI, there's no vacuum if you inhale and retain the air! In several other videos I watched by bodybuilders they instruct to EXHALE all the air out before sucking in your stomach.

My mom use to make me wear girdles, on my cycle(period), when I was young. I think that's the reason I have a tiny waist. I'm now 43, still with a tiny waist. Wear girdles, when you're on your period. Thanks mom for the old fashioned advice.
+Acidreams I think it was because panties are lighter, and the girdle had more grip to keep the pad up, or maybe to control the bloating. She just made me do it. But thank goodness for hip hugger jeans, because she had to saw all my pants at the waist.

i started this about a month ago and it definitely works!!! it doesnt give immediate dramatic results but after doing it for awhile ive noticed my waist definitely slimming down and getting smaller and it has a more defined shape to it and i definitely recommend trying this its so easy and simple to do
Several things that may be causing a thick waist and stomache, probably are either or all of these things: 1# Stored elimination and gas- Use a laxative like epsom salt or prune juice (1 glassful) per day. Consult with a doctor to see how long this can be orally taken. 2# Water retention - diuretic water pills may help or consult with your doctor. Avoid excess sodium intake. 3# Female hormonal inbalance (thyroid condition) or endometriosis (excess lining of uterus). The above are what many fail to mention. Exercise and a healthy diet isn't always the way to a hot body, as health issues may be the underlying cause of it all. Maybe that girl with extra flab on her midsection isn't just a lazy couch potato, she may be suffering from serious health issues. I bet these women with itty bitty waists don't have these problems. I rest my case! !!
Also to piggy back on your number three point. Having uterine fibroids will also make your abs protrude. Exercising is the easy part. But as you listed above, there are so many more reasons some people don't have flat abs. But as a testament to the vid those abs isolation exercises do work. Once upon a time, 15 years ago, I had abs like that and I did them everyday in addition to cardio and weight-training 3x's a week.
Cheeky Girl Absolutely! As long as directions labels indicates it can be taken orally. This is always diluted in water, or fruit juice, etc. It tastes horrible, very bitter, but will clean you out pretty well.

I have digestive issues which result in a lot of bloating and constipation but I can't figure out if it is just Hypothyroidism or if I have some dietary issue as well. I also have thyroid issues and the hormonal issues you mentioned. On top of that I have a lot of muscle in my oblique area. I wouldn't say I have a big waist now but I work so hard and I feel a little jipped that it doesn't show as much over the constant bloating.

Hii, so I did it the way described in the video for a week and didn’t really see a significant change. I was disappointed and almost gave up but because I was on the chubbier side and nervous about bikini season coming up, in the last 7 weeks i lost the extra pounds and toned up, but about 2 weeks ago I still wanted a smaller waist and wider hips to get a nice hourglass figure. I looked on yt and the internet more and found out that for the exercise to work you have to EXHALE (not inhale) then suck in for around 20 seconds, not inhale and suck ur stomach in. I’ve been doing that the last 2 weeks for my waist and other exercises for my hips and I’m so happy with my figure now, the results are awesome, and in such little time 😊😊

It works.. no kidding, try it, it burns like hell.. and that's because your targeting muscle you don't normally use or feel, as oppose to abs. I suggest doing exactly what she is doing BUT twisting your your waist from side to side motion.. you'll start to feel it deeper into the muscles of the rib cage area and deep into the muscles sitting under the love handles.. again it will BURN.. but in a short time you'll see results. If you want that tiny waist.. this is it.

For those who don't know, these exercises are called hypopressive breathing and there are plenty of variations! Doing these 5-7 days a week, only 10 min when you wake up REALLY made a difference for me so I totally recommend it
Something I see in everyone who talks about these exercises is that you should try to "fake" filling your lungs with air, following this sequence: breathe in > breathe out > pull your stomach in while faking the movement of breathing in (fake filling lungs with air) > hold it as much as you can (around 10-20 seconds) > relax > repeat

This really works. I've been doing this for almost 2 mouths almost everyday consistenly and i lost 3-4 inches off my waist(from 30 inches to 26-27 depends if i am bloated this actually helps with bloated too) combined with a little bit of diet. This actually is more effective to be done while you are doing any type of cardiovascular exercises at the same time.

I did this excersie around 5 a times a day. On the second day i already started seeing results. I've always been skinny, but have huge ribs so its difficult for me to be curvy and have a small waist. Even though i cant have that hourglass look, doing this excersise hardened the fat around my ribs, making me look less squared. I do feel I have longer torso. I repeat. ON THE SECOND DAY. It is really easy to do, takes no time. Do it while watching tv.
Day 3: definietly the fat around my ribs has tightened together, my waist looks more defined. i hope by the end of the week, i can see a a long curve. I made a variation twisting my body to the sides

Secret of a tiny waist many people don't know:
Mineral water before meals.
Eat slowly! Never hurry with eating, chew the food before swallowing it. (My grandmother always rebuke me when she notice this).
These are very important, you can do stomach vacuum or whatever you want, or can eat fruits and vegetables, their effects won't show if you keep doing bad eating habits. You cannot work the swallowed air or gases out of youself. Fast eating is not only making you fat but also damaging your digestion.

I’ve had that problem to and I figured out that it’s all from form. Even if you feel like you’re doing it right, you’re probably not if you don’t feel it. I have been trying to do different variations and I finally found one that actually hurts.Experiment and I’m sure you’ll feel the burn in no time!
P.S. you usually won’t get results unless you’re doing it right, and if you do get results, they are just not as good results as they would’ve been.

I realize that I've been doing this exercise my entire life and often when I'm not even thinking about it. The more you do this, the more you'll do it unconsciously throughout your day =)

I've done this for 4 years. I went from a 26.5 inch waist in the morning to a 23.5 inch waist in the morning. I just had a baby 2 months ago and am at 25/26 inches but I'm going to start doing these again! Excellent during pregnancy to snap back fast as well!

(I'm talking from an already skinny person point of view. I don't know how this works for people who want to lose belly weight, I'm speaking for myself and I wanted this exercise to help me tone my abs and help with love handles)
I did this exercise for a month and my waist went down 1 inch (from 25 inches to 24 inches) and my abs got even more defined (toned elevens), so I really really recommend this exercise. I used to do it 20 reps of 20 sec. a day, but omg it's too difficult and it takes a lot of time, so I went down to 10 reps of 10 sec. a day.

Guys it really works! I’ve been doing it for 3 days now and ate everything I wanted. I see some definition already and my stomach is really hard. For example when I sit I don’t have three rolls of fat anymore. It’s really easy to do like while walking. It really worked so try it out. You’ll not be disappointed!

Several things that may be causing a thick waist and stomache, probably are either or all of these things:
1# Stored elimination and gas- Use a laxative like epsom salt or prune juice (1 glassful) per day. Consult with a doctor to see how long this can be orally taken.
2# Water retention - diuretic water pills may help or consult with your doctor. Avoid excess sodium intake.
3# Female hormonal inbalance (thyroid condition) or endometriosis (excess lining of uterus).
The above are what many fail to mention. Exercise and a healthy diet isn't always the way to a hot body, as health issues may be the underlying cause of it all. Maybe that girl with extra flab on her midsection isn't just a lazy couch potato, she may be suffering from serious health issues. I bet these women with itty bitty waists don't have these problems. I rest my case! !!
Also to piggy back on your number three point. Having uterine fibroids will also make your abs protrude. Exercising is the easy part. But as you listed above, there are so many more reasons some people don't have flat abs. But as a testament to the vid those abs isolation exercises do work. Once upon a time, 15 years ago, I had abs like that and I did them everyday in addition to cardio and weight-training 3x's a week.

Cheeky Girl Absolutely! As long as directions labels indicates it can be taken orally. This is always diluted in water, or fruit juice, etc. It tastes horrible, very bitter, but will clean you out pretty well.

I have digestive issues which result in a lot of bloating and constipation but I can't figure out if it is just Hypothyroidism or if I have some dietary issue as well. I also have thyroid issues and the hormonal issues you mentioned. On top of that I have a lot of muscle in my oblique area. I wouldn't say I have a big waist now but I work so hard and I feel a little jipped that it doesn't show as much over the constant bloating.

I was 30 inches around my waist today morning and after doing a few different exercises from different videos, I lost 2 inches!! How is that possible?? In one day! And it is the only afternoon! I've seen all those people in the comments talking about how this does work, but idk if i am doing it wrong or anything. I actually don't feel any burning so i was kind of discouraged and didn't keep this up. Could any of you ,that tried this, let me know if it does burn at the beginning or not? Cuz i really want to make this work.
Sia - Chan Try exhaling when sucking in your stomach. I didn’t feel any burn too when I tried Vicky’s way but I read through some comments that said you have to exhale when sucking in your stomach. I tried it and now I feel it burning. Hope I helped :)

Adriana lucero I personally didn’t see much of a difference but my waist has changed shape a bit. Try doing this whilst doing waist exercises. That’s what I’m doing at the moment
my waist is uneven, my left side curves in but my right side is straight. will this help even things out?

Try a steel boned corset. I have the same issue and now it disappeared since i been wearing my corset

Hi, so this vid has been up for a year now. Has anyone with a "not-tiny-waist-to-begin-with" already tried this out and did you actually get some results? If so, how long did it take you and how often did you do it? Did you do any other exercises or a diet plan along with it? Hats off to Vicky and other amazing gurus; however, my concern is they've been doing these things for so long already that their bodies are already in good shape. From 3 weeks I’ve honestly seen very little difference although after I stopped and did cardio my waist did get smaller with Russian twist because fat was shredded
Hii, so I did it the way described in the video for a week and didn’t really see a significant change. I was disappointed and almost gave up but because I was on the chubbier side and nervous about bikini season coming up, in the last 7 weeks i lost the extra pounds and toned up, but about 2 weeks ago I still wanted a smaller waist and wider hips to get a nice hourglass figure. I looked on yt and the internet more and found out that for the exercise to work you have to EXHALE (not inhale) then suck in for around 20 seconds, not inhale and suck ur stomach in. I’ve been doing that the last 2 weeks for my waist and other exercises for my hips and I’m so happy with my figure now, the results are awesome, and in such little time 😊😊
hey girl , i did this two times a day for twenty minutes for three months and it works. i was 28 inches around my waist and now three months later i’m down to 21 inches it may not seem like that much but it works i promise
