  • Hey Guys! Today I am talking about Mary Magdalene and her hidden life. There is so much that was not recorded in the Bible and so much insight we can get from the visions of Blessed Anne Catherine Emmerich. I really reccomend this book!

I’ve been to her grave in France u should go, she was on a boat with Martha, st Sarah the Egyptian with saint Joseph of Arimathea at the helm, the history of those regions reveal to us the historical fact of her arrival after the death of Christ to flee persecution

now that i think about it, i also seem to gravitate towards female saints. i feel like i relate more to the way female saints express their love for Christ.

According to St. Louis de Montfort, Mary Magdalene was carried to Heaven by Angels every Fridays because she witnessed the Sorrowful Mysteries with her own eyes. I believe that her grave is in Turkey and not France but I could be wrong. According to the devil, Mary Magdalene (from whom, according to the Gospels, Our Lord drove out seven devils): 'Mary Magdalene is a very great saint, in whom one can put one's utmost trust. As soon as she had the good fortune to know God, her contrition was so great, her tears so abundant, that no devil could make her sin again. She is a model for all true penitents, who should make her their special advocate with God, for God grants great favour to those who invoke her aid.'

Great video, interesting topic. Never read Emmerich before. I've read in another book "The Da Vinci Hoax" that the interpretation of Mary Magdalene being a prostitute originated in homilies of Pope St. Gregory I. But, the Greek Fathers and in the Greek Church they interpret it differently. The two authors ended up siding with the Greek tradition on it and said that Gregory was mistaken. And he was not using ex cathedra to teach it, so it is not infallible. I have also heard from former Fox News host Bill O'Reilly (author of "Killing Jesus") that the town of Magdala had the reputation of prostitution and so he decided that she probably was a prostitute because of her being identified with the town. Personally, I don't know, I would have to get more nerdy than I already am to get to the bottom of it. LOL. 😂

There is a Catholic French tradition that she ended up on a boat being ejected from Jerusalem and died later in southern France were that boat landed. What is said to be her skull is a relic at Saint-Maximin-la-Sainte-Baume in France.

I know that Mary Magdalene and a few other followers of Jesus wrote their own gospels about the life of Jesus and Mary Magdalene wrote a beautiful story of the life of Christ that is very different from the gospels in the bible.

@@Kieron-shuler15 Those are gnostic works given the name of a particular follower of Christ to lend some form of credibility to them. The reasons they are so different is because they come from an entirely different worldview that while may use particular Christian imagery or themes is distinctly not Christian. When you read all the supposed books kept out of the bible it becomes very evident why they were never included.

@@briandaniel6354 I totally agree I think there are some key takeaways from them but yes they are a little radical or controversial to the Bible’s view
