A day out at Grisedale Dec 2024

Every year we get together with our trustees to get out into the beautiful Eden catchment and see one of our conservation projects in action.
One frosty, crisp clear Tuesday in December our destination was Grisedale, near Patterdale. From early work post Storm Desmond tree planting and installing leaky dams, through river restoration in 2021, to vegetation surveys to understand the opportunities for woodland creation, this is a site that we have become very well acquainted with over the years.
Sit back and enjoy some spectacular scenery, natural river features (that look as though they've always been there and not created 3 years ago) and lots of shots of becks and crystal clear water!
