New subscriber from the Us. Beautiful, informative videos. I’d add Hawkshead. Old and charming. Thanks for sharing - I’ll get your books for our next trip and we’ll tour the Southwest!

@@ancestralvoices1 I've just moved to the West Lakes and shall have to visit Hawkshead. I spend a lot of time in Florida and the north Georgie mountains with my fiancé. I'm glad you love the Lake District.

Interesting selection, Ambleside Windermere and Keswick are ok and very busy but most definitely primarily interested in maximising the tourist coin......£5.80 a pint 😲 A lot more than youd pay in out untouristy village just down the A66
The more obscure selections (Bassenthwaite for example, only lake in the Lake District blah blah) are excellent. The towns on the West coast are not as accessible as the honeyspots in the South Lakes, but indeed do have very interesting histories.
As a local living a few hundred yards outside of the National park, the pub is in the park lol, I'd say overall this is a very good selection of the obvious and the chance to explore a few different places in Cumbria 👍👍👍

I’ve had a dig into our culture as of late. I grew up in Sweden and later met a charming English lady from northern England. The Lake District. As a newcomer in the community I got a bit shocked of hearing the older generation of the landscape of English north, they actually had a thing for counting numbers in Swedish and me having my girlfriend telling me how Ireland have had a difference to others on the island and it reminded me about Norway hating Sweden be center of Denmark and the countries forever bully tactics so they decided to become independent apart from Sven, björn, Ragnar, Knut, harald Bluetooth, rus gang of Stockholm, and so off they went and, have locals in uk spoiled and uneducated think we ever can rationalize such a decision. How dare you say that and then excuse Denmark owning Greenland and many other lands perhaps brittain should have had ? Or even worse. How you never think of how easy them say we worse than the devil himself. Never ever we hear any Britt wanting an excuse from Vikings or Roman’s behaving like a prick.
