Just rewatched this video. My mum was born and brought up in Niton she used to go on many of those walks with my grandparents. The end of the footpath comes out by the side of the bungalows where my Nan and Grandad used to live, Also my Mum used to go to school with one of the light keeper’s daughter so has actually been inside.
Hi Marek! Loved watching this video, my Dad was born in Knowles Farm (next to St. Catherine’s Lighthouse) and his younger brother, my Uncle Charlie, is the Charlie Peach who worked on re-opening the Niton Tunnels. Gave me a lump in my throat and a tear in my eye when you mentioned him. He was a great man with a wicked sense of humour and he is very greatly missed by all who knew him. Thanks again x
Wow! That is brilliant to hear, what an incredible place to live. I absolutely loved the tunnels. What a great thing your Uncle did. You must be very proud. Thank you for taking the time to post on this board. Your message brought a big smile to my face.
Gay Baldwin is close enough to my real name for it to become my nickname. I'd best not tell anyone. Your computer drawings really crack me up. Thanks for another cool vid.
Thanks for the lovely Compliment you gave Charlie peach. He was my uncle. Think maybe my sister has already thanked you. Thanks for a great vid and walk 👍

What a cool walk! Apart from the bits where you nearly died... but loved the tunnels and ghost story bits 👍🏼 Love learning some snippets of Isle of Wight’s cool history from your vids (not sure a man with BO counts as history, but still worth knowing!)
Hahaha "Jean couldn't handle it anymore so she went off to play on the fruit machines". I guess everyone needs a coping strategy. In terms of fears, I've never been scared of real spiders but when I was a kid there was a room in the Crystal Maze that was an automatic lock-in that had a massive fake spider in it that scared the shit out of me. They had one like it (maybe even the same prop, dusted off) on a recent series of Taskmaster and it was still just as scary.
Great vid as always. And, yeah, Smelly Dave managed to pull a fast one there. Or perhaps the ghost just followed him round. It's heights for me too in the phobia dept. I keep thinking I'm going to jump. (I definitely don't want to). Not nice.
I hate that feeling, that the 0.0001% of you that wants to jump will take over at the least opportune moment. I have always wondered who that has happened to and the horror they must feel once they have started flying through the air.

Fingers x’d there will be a members bonus video showing what your lunch was that day

That looked like a great walk with such amazing views. The tunnels looked really cool too. That steep bit that you hated really reminded me of North Hill in Minehead. Years and years ago I worked at The Butlins there and me and the lad I was going out with at the time did the North Hill walk. It's totally fine when you're going up but when you have to come down the other side it is so hairy. I went down on my arse so that I didn't fall. It's a gorgeous walk though. 🙂
It is such a shame it closed to the public. I wish they could work out a model with schools, and maybe some coach parties so they could continue to open it up.
I actually went on a Duke of Edinburgh's Award hike with Rhian the lead singer from wet Leg in 2007. No Joke: my mate Daryl and I tabletopped her at a campsite in Nettlecombe, just outside of Whitwell. How's that for a unique comment? :)
