It would not surprise me if there was/is a massive resurgence in the superman movies again, and for younger generations to discover these movies as well as his other movies as well :) Not to mention his wife and the incredible work they have done for spinal research and the hope and courage he has given others with the same disability as himself. What a wonderful legacy this man has been, and I'm sure his superman will live on long after you and i have passed away. Rest in peace Christopher Reeve and Dana Reeve :)
@@adrianpearce5642 I mean the new Superman (David Corenswet), is already in a good position to do just that once this documentary comes out and is a massive success.
They tried the Glasses thing with Henry Cavill, he wore a superman shirt, stood below the advertising marquee and wore glasses, and nobody recognised him
When a Men shed a tear it doesn't mean his weak It only proves his been thru a lot and define every obstacles in his life and conquer it And that's what Chris did Not only he became an Icon He Became the true symbol of Hope for everyone And his truly Superman thru and thru.
He was so good-looking and fun loving. In one of his first interviews, I think on Larry King Live, after his accident he answered a question about what happened to him with this (paraphrased) "Some people fall out of a window on the sixth floor and only have a few scratches. Others trip over their shoe laces and have a fatal fall." His and Robin Willams' friendship was everything the definition of friendship should be. That was not the actual footage of his near fatal accident. Apparently he fell straight on the top of his head and his first 2 vertebrae were crushed by the weight of his entire body. Basically his injury could be compared to being decapitated because his skull was no longer attached to (the rest of) his spine, but was only attached to the rest of his body by skin, veins, arteries, muscles and nerves. You can hear him tell it in his own words here ua-cam.com/video/gXYFJe2yU3M/v-deo.html It's a miracle he survived at all.
Loved cris reeve rip as my favourite superman I was born 78 the same time it released I think 🤔.my favourite was original and part two with zod and even though others didn't I love, superman quest for peace with nuclearman even though budget restraints etc flopped it at boxoffice 😢😂❤💪😊
Even as the Superman movies got worse, Reeve always put his all into the role. I think they're all worth watching even just for him (even the extremely low budget Superman IV). And this short trailer has made plenty of people get teary eyed. Especially with the double combo of Reeve and his former roommate Robin Williams. Such different men, but they were basically brothers and loved each other. And ironically both hit the big time playing aliens in the late 70s. One on the big screen, one on the home screen. :) Heck, I like to think Mork would be welcome on the Justice League. :)
@@Carn_Is_Done Well yes as they carried on noticeably of 4 (l mean even 3 was still just about okay rather than say terrible), how they got worse - Reeves performance each time never faltered he was convincing as Superman every time always full commitment rather than say disinterested etc. he was by far the most continuous great element from beginning right through to 4. Yes he was disappointed by failure of 4 that is well documented and certainly in part that made him just not want to do any more and l guess just permanently move on though of course he throughout his career did other amazing roles notably the movie with Jane Seymour of a romantic time travel type genre Somewhere in Time plus amazing early short role in all star cast movie The Remains of the Day. He was a consumate professional through his career and the guy who forever made everyone believe Superman could fly - an epic actor and an epic great human being!
Think he couldn't breathe on his own for years, the courage to endure. True superman.
The saddest thing is that he died in 2004, and Dana then died in 2006- also very young. And, of course, Robin died in 2014.
"A verdadeira JORNADA DO HERÓI começou após o acidente...!"
The part where Superman March starts at 6:24 gets me every time...😢😊
One of the greatest cinematic scores of all time by John Williams!
