Just that part of Glenn Close saying that if Christopher were still here, then maybe Robin Williams would still be alive, and that part got to me, like I loved both of these actors and, sadly, they're no longer here with us, and it's hard not thinking about what could've been 🥺😭
Yeah as a kid growing up u saw deaths frm wrestlers etc but as a teenager robins death really hit hard bcuz it was so unfathomable a guy like that would take their own life.
Of all the celebrity deaths, Robin is the one that I will never get over. I can't watch any of his work anymore because it just makes me sad thinking about him
28:14 my son became paralyzed in 2009 from an SCI when he was only 6. He was an artist early on and thankfully was only paraplegic so he can still draw and is now 21 and getting ready to start his final semester of college as a graphic design major. I read tons of literature from the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation when he was a patient at the Children's National Rehabilitation Hospital in DC.
I'm surprised y'all did not know that Dana Reeves passed in 2006. I remember that more than Christopher Reeves death because it was the first time that I was made aware that you could get lung cancer without being a smoker. I know that sounds ignorant now but that really freaked me out and I became more cognizant of issues of air pollution and exposure to chemicals.
You can also get breast cancer without breasts. My wife wants me to get to checked because my mother is dealing with her second round of breast cancer. First time was 35 years ago. My grandfather died of pancreatic cancer so maybe it would be a good idea to get checked.
@@John_Locke_108 That one I did know because breast cancer also runs in my family (mom and grandmother had breast cancer). I'm sorry about your grandfather and praying for remission for your mother🙏🏾You should get screened for both.
Wow. I had not seen that yet. Thank you for the reaction, I was crying my eyes out right along with all 3 of you. I'm 60 years old, I had a massive crush on Christopher Reeves way back before the accident and I clearly remember all of these events and how devastated I was when he had his accident, and then again when he passed and when Dana was diagnosed and when she passed. So much tragedy for one family to endure, but so much love for each other. What an inspiration every member of this family has been.
Always found it poetic that the last thing Reeve starred in was Smallville❤ Also, i honestly think this doc has Oscar written all over it. Outstanding piece of work!
I teared up watching the trailer and then again at the cinema and even now just a few minutes into this reaction. I never realised how much Reeve's Superman meant to me. I only ever saw the first film and I was born during the dark and gritty Burton Batman time. But Supernan was my first superhero movie or superhero anything and it stuck with me. I just loved how epic and hopeful it was. This was my first superhero and my Superman
Back in it's first week run when I was a teen my mom took me to see Superman. The first time he takes flight is the cinematic defining moment that will be forever in my memories. I sat there speechless (As you should, not whoopin and hollerin like todays idiots) in awe and amazement. It was GLORIOUS! And Mr. Reeve made it so memorable by adding in that bank himself! Admiration for him and his talent knows no bounds in my eyes.
It’s funny how I watched this last night and balled my eyes out. Next day, Blind Wave reacts to it. Christopher Reeve is such an inspiring icon and is Superman both on screen and in reality. And I can’t wait to see David Corenswet delivers that type of charisma in the DCU going forward.
I knew y’all were gonna need the tissues. Lol I bawl every time it gets to the part where they kept resuscitating him so that Dana had enough time to get there and say her goodbye. Such a well done documentary.
A fantastic doco. You were saying that you haven't seen Christopher in many films other than Superman. He was in some very good films but a sort of hidden gem is the film version of the hit play Noises Off. It has a stellar cast, not only Chris but John Ritter making it bittersweet. A perfect film to react too if haven't seen. Happy 2025!
I caught this in the cinema, and honestly it broke me. Such a wonderful and heartbreaking story, Chris was and always will be my Superman. First saw the movie in 1984 when I was 3 and it stuck with me. I have the S shield tattooed on my wrist Superman is such a strong and meaningful character in my life. Have had many health issues and went through 3 years of ops, hospitals and many check ups and recovery its what kept me strong and felt like getting through it made me stronger.
I'll be completely honest, i never grew up a superman fan or had even seen Superman as a kid but when i finally watched it earlier this year, he just takes that role to another level and that is why he was such a great actor. He was 100% into the role, and as they talked about in the documentary, i wish he got more credit for that.
Genuinely one of the greatest documentaries I’ve seen in a while, what a story about humanity, love and determination no matter the obstacle. Really showed how much of a legend Chris and Dana were
After watching this myself I really hope we get more documentary’s like this about other Actors who portrayed or voiced DC characters like Adam west or Linda Charter and Kevin Conroy 🤞
This is actually one of my favorite reactions from you guys. Not everything can be fun, lighthearted, or awesome and badass. Like you said, this was a story that needed to be told.
I was born in nineteen sixty nine and grew up with christopher reeve as Superman. I watched this in the movie theater on my fifty fifth birthday which is also Christophers birthday.
Having a person of prominence that can lend a voice to advocacy is def helpful. But on the other hand it’s frustrating. Those of us who are disabled even in 2025 are still rarely thought of. We rarely have a seat at the table and we rarely see ourselves positively represented in media. That is even less so in the facial difference community. I enjoyed this doc and it was powerful. Thanks for covering this.
I tried to watch this documentary 3 times. I couldn't get through it. I just couldn't. I'll check it out now, but i appreciate having you guys to walk me through it first. I'm a 53 y/o man. Reeve is my Superman. 😢Thank you.
This shit breaks you. I was born in 95 so i saw the movies as a kid. I remember as a kid going to see my grandmother & we would pass a movie theater in manhattan and it had old screenshots of movies & one was of superman. Whenever im going thru something i realize compared to things like this, its absolustely nothing.
Born in '77 so I grew up with the Reeve movies. Never really loved the movies but regardless, I had a hard time not crying while watching this. Very moving documentary.
YES! I am eagerly waiting for more Black Mirror, but I am just as happy to see this being reacted to. Like Eric, Superman meant a lot to me growing up. Still does, but as a young boy he was my favourite fictional character. He's been let down by a few lacklustre movies recently. Hoping the new one does Christopher Reeve's hard work of making the character come to life, justice.
I’m 37 born and raised nyc I remember when they said he first moved his finger and then downhill from there. Anything Superman I cry. Biggest Superman fan everrrrrrr
The first superman movie came out over 30 years before I was even born and I saw almost every other actor's portrayal of the character before I went back and watched reeves movies. Despite that- despite never seeing his movies till I was older, I've literally ALWAYS known that Christopher Reeves was *the* superman
I wanted to watch this but just seeing your cut down version was enough to make me misty eyed, so many times Robin almost broke me. Love their friendship
He truly was the spiritual embodiment of Superman. If anyone could be described as having a pure heart, it was Christopher Reeve. And we’re going to see his son Will in the new Superman movie.
Yeah, loved this when I watched a few weeks ago. :) Also, yeah what's with Superman making us cry lately, whether it's the fictional (Superman & Lois) or this real stuff that Christopher and his family went through.
I think I was the same as Calvin struggling to keep it together. Especially seeing Robin Williams emotionally break. Needed a pack of tissues for sure.
Thanks for sharing such valuable information! A bit off-topic, but I wanted to ask: I have a SafePal wallet with USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). How can I transfer them to Binance?
They rotate depending on the content. Something may not interest one or two of them. Or they have already seen it and doesn't feel like seeing it again so soon.
I'm glad you guys reacted to this, I saw it twice in theatres and it still gets me knowing how much him and Dana had done... I know it's hard not to cry and hold back, but you have to let it out, it's okay to let go because you need to ventilate and afterwards you'll be fine and a thing my mother told me was never take life for granted... And yes Chris will be our first Man of Steel and he is still flying up there , just look up! 💙❤️🤍🦸
@DeZeZe A documentary about a much loved actor who played a role so very important to millions of people and the awful tragedy he went through is 'stupid' to you (or sorry... 'supid' since you didn't spell that right)? Oh and "want and deserve"? Feeling rather entitled, eh?
Why don't you take a hike and think about what you said in this comment, maybe reflect on your humanity, or lack of? In general they don't owe you anything.

hey quick question, what happened to creature commandos reactions.
It got nominated at the 2025 BAFTA for Best Documentary. Hopefully it’ll win for Best Documentary.
Aaron’s classic smile cry
I love it
IKR?! I thought I was on the only one that notices when he does that.
Hahaha thought I was the only one too. He does it a lot too in their videos.
@@Jake-n2w I know. Every time he does it I'm like "Welp, here we go again." 🤣🤣🤣 I don't know why but it makes me so uncomfortable when he does it.

What's really cool is that James Gunn put Chris's son Will in the new Superman movie.

Yes, my uncle got lung cancer without every being a smoker, and he also passed away.
I remember her death happened a couple of months before Superman Returns came out and the film was dedicated to both of them
