The fairy tail character know that they can't defeat him so they are just getting rid of him until they can find a way to defeat him. They know that fairy sphere can't defeat him because it's a protection spell. They are trying to buy time until they can figure out how to defeat him. And when casted correctly the spell can last for year/decades.
The fairy sphere makes a lot of sense as the only way to beat him. It protected them for 7 years by using the guilds power. If they use the power of the entire continent then Acnologia would be trapped for as long as Zeref would be trapped in lost iced shell. If they put him on a ship then he wouldn’t be able to find the strength to break out.
(Also I think you guys should’ve chilled and enjoyed it lol. I understand that it seems like a short time but once you saw there was 3 episodes left I saw the reaction change 💀 obviously it had so many elements that it could’ve been better but if you say it’s not good as a final arc then you’d be lying)
Acnologia die from plot armor of fairy tail that is power of friendship
Yeah, that was a very smart move from Lucy, using Acnologia's only weakeness against him and then use a spell meant for absolute defense as a prison. Possibly it would eventually come undone, but it could last for years, since it protected the Tenrou team for seven years and that's only because Mavis undid the spell. Who knows for how long Fairy Sphere would be able to contain Acnologia... especially with him suffering from motion sickness. Not to mention with it being powered by everyone in the entire Ishgar.
@@sammeenien538Acnologia died with a logical reason. Unless you can say that the way he dies was pure plot armor and POf then sure but it wasn't POF actually pay attention to details first.
@sammeenien538 that's a very basic and brain dead explanation of story telling. Plot armor exist in stories cuz they aren't real. Also friendship is a type of love and it has been shown and explicitly said that emotions strengthen spells. That is the whole point of fairy tail and how this magic works.

Acnologia is possibly from the continent located east to Ishgar where they, similarly, lived in peace with dragonkind. When the dragons from Alakitacia (the western continent) arrived to Ishgar, the native dragons tried to fought them, but some of their own joined the invaders and adopted their filosophy recarding ruling over humans.That's why dragon slaying magic was created, so humans could join their dragons in battle and help them. The dragon Acnologia, who went to Ishgar just to know more about the rumors about dragon slaying magic, ended up being contaminated by that same filosophy, possibly (judging for the state of his body) due to being attacked by dragon slayers who thought he was the enemy.
Fun fact: That Acnologia's backstory is an exclusive only anime content because It was not in the manga. The creator of Fairy Tail ask the animators to add it in the anime.
About the Fairy Sphere. They are planning to trap Acnologia inside of there because It has time stop inside of it. Remember when they are inside the Fairy Sphere for 7 years and when they came out, they didn't aged at all? That's because of the Time stop inside the Fairy Sphere.
I think that's why Levi is included in the S-class exam in Tenrou Jima Arc. She may not be a combat wizard, but she's an excellent support wizard

Acnologia is nerfed here since dragon form >>>>> human form.
His powers are also split into 2 so I think he became weaker after eating the time rift.
Watch the Fairy Sphere would ensure the dragon slayer’s victory. It immobilises both body and spirit.
This last arc was rushed so bad, tartaros is still the best arc.

The author runied fairy tail he finished this arc quickly to work on his new manga that not doing well he should have put his effort on fairy-tail then go on his new work fairy-tail has lot of potential but runied by the author with his always fanservice power of friendship win every time then main character never die they like invincible side characters that don't mean anything to the plot like crime sorciere who's plot was to beat zeref but never met him they get beat offscreen by august annoying character like jellal ichiya many more only use for shipping or comedy and of all the author runied his things

I havnt watched season 2 of edens zero but from what ik from spoilers n such there r deaths n we see alternet timelines of what couldve happened the lore is kinda confusing to me tho but we see people die whether its in the alternet timeline or main timeline
