Marty, I don't care what other people say, but you're the coolest dude of all. Keep up the good work. Your teaching helped me very much to mimic the cool sounds by the original artists. Thanks Marty.
Totally agree, Marty man, thanks! You're help is humanitarian. . . Music is therapeutic, and cant thank you enough for the contribution and consideration!
Best guitar teacher and mentor ever! I've learned a lot from this guy! Less talking more playing, unlike others that spend 10min talking and shit!! Marty! Keep up man you rock!
Hi Marty I’m talking to you from 11 years in the future. You’re still going to be teaching guitar so you’ll be just a little older looking but everything will be pretty much normal and everything will be OK. You’re going to have millions of followers and be pretty successful as a guitar instructor UA-camr. Just letting you know.
Thanks Marty. Love your positive attitude and desire to help guitarists grow. Theguitarists that want to nit-pick theory generally sit in their bedrooms because they're paralyzed with fear to play before an audience. Keep doing what you do.
@CODCODGUY first, I'm so sorry you haven't heard of Santana, second, I always do a mix of tunes, for instance, Adele, Janes Addiction, Pearl Jam, all just in the last few days, none of which are blues? yes i will teach more blues than metal because that's who I am, I will always mix it up though. take care, marty
hahahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!! OUTSTANDING MARTY We grew up playing this in brass band, and although my acoustic is getting terrifically great, I think I'll just enjoy smashing Oye on trombone though I just thank you again for putting these things out there, 'cause it has given me a new take on 6-strings which has me up and playing SOOOOO MUCH EASIER THAN EVERY OTHER TIME I HAVE TRIED! THNX MARTY ps-Jim Croce Lover's Cross
Thanks great lesson............And thanks for the simplicity of the A Dorian. Most guitar guys can't say it as simple as oh yea it's a G major scale starting on A.
THX marty for your lessons. You're the best teacher here on UA-cam. But I have one wish ... Please give me your fingers .... smile .... HG with best regards from Cologne, GERMANY.
Dude never heard of Santana, holy krap am I that old..... Rock on Marty I'm diggin all the Santana stuff you've posted. Like to have some more of that Soulshine lesson too, that little into you taught was just a tease lol
Great Lesson Marty, Your the real deal! Strait and to the point, No excess Bull! I would like to see some close ups of the left hand if you can . But really a great job! Much Thank's...........................B
Awesome lesson, and seriously one of my favourite Santana song, this and Soul Sacrifice from Woodstock to me are probably some of the bast Santana songs. The chord structure was simple, but the licks were quite outside the box, and just awesome licks for the arsenal, thanks!!
Marvelous lesson indeed Mr. Schwartz. I hope you don't mind if I ask you but... I'm just wondering... Is the Les Paul traditional that you're playing by any lucky chance good for playing jazz as well? I know perfectly well that a 335 style is more suitable, but I happen to be quite keen on the LP trad in particular. I usually play blues where, I understand, a Les Paul should be more than "at home" but from time to time I find myself wondering around in the jazz zone... Thank's for your time
Eres mi profesor de guitarra favorito! Muchas gracias siempre por la cantidad tan variada de estilos y métodos. Hope you understand Spanish as well, otherwise I can teach you ;-)

Santana's music is perfect for me. That's why I picked up a guitar again a few years ago, and I still enjoy playing Santana's riffs.
Great mixture of very simple steps and music theory to keep the lesson interesting for beginners and more advanced players!!! Thanks Marty!
Mr. Schwartz, not only are you on a boat, you are the captain. Please continue to lead us all on this fantastic voyage that is the six string.
My highschool band marched this song 2 years ago for our Santana show. We all loved it!
Marty, I don't care what other people say, but you're the coolest dude of all.
Keep up the good work. Your teaching helped me very much to mimic the cool sounds by the original artists. Thanks Marty.
