This needs to be pinned!! I get a content overload with so many videos in one. With this it's way easier to find where I was or rewatch a specific video ❤
Truly the only thing that has ever made a noticeable difference in the appearance of my pores was double cleansing and a good bha toner. Really helped with the visible sebaceous filaments on my nose and makes my pores appear smaller. It pisses me off how many companies claim that their products can “shrink” the size of your pores when that’s impossible.
I was laughing so hard at millennial skincare routine because it was spot on 😂 Especially using my mom's Clinique moisturizer. Also I saw that brief hesitation you had before you subjected your face to the apricot scrub!
Hi James, thank you for another compilation video of your TikTok content 🙂 I don’t have it, so I’m really happy not to miss out! My skin has improved so much since I started following you and taking your advice 💜💜💜
I I never really cared about skincare and started watching this channel because one of my hobbies is watching videos about ✨drama✨that doesn’t involve me, but ever since I have been following the skincare routine my sister made me much more closely and wearing more sunscreen. Thanks?
Totally agree with you James about the ‘essence/toner’ comment. Awesome upload & very different & informative indeed! Really enjoyed it & found a lot of value in it! Thank you ❤❤❤
Ooh, started off with the bad old days 😂 I have a suggestion for those of us who can't get MUA products. Try Skin Gym's Berry Peptide Lip Butter. It's only ten bucks for .5 oz. It's packed with peptides and it's not too thick like some balms. It's got a nice berry scent.
im 60 this year and all i had was mentholated spirits for acne, a home made scrub of olive oil and salt, no moisturiser but we did use sun screen zinc eta farm girl
Packaging is really important to me when it comes to skincare. The aesthetics aside, if the packaging doesn’t work well with the formula or makes it fiddly to use I just find it incredibly frustrating. When a body lotion comes in a pump bottle but the formula is wayyy too thick to actually come out after you’ve been using it for a little while. Or a bunch gets stuck in the bottom so a ton winds up wasted. Or the product is super runny and if you knock the bottle over it’s going to come spilling out. Or if it comes in a dropper bottle. I don’t like dropper bottles. Period. I just don’t. I want a nice relaxing experience, not to be unscrewing a pump bottle and slapping it on my open hand to get a glob out.
James love your selection of products with alternatives….I’ve been using Intensive Care Gold 24k snail eye serum ball…rolling my fat pads under my eyes is a +
Hi James, I'm a new sub...I've only recently started watching your content. As a mum of 4, I find your skincare info so valuable. Thanks, love, from Melbourne Australia 💙🇦🇺
I have to say that due to the process of how SK11 is made, there’s absolutely nothing that can touch it. It’s not just the ingredients, it’s what they do with the ingredients and I can say by the time the lab has finished all the fermentation etc to make SK11, they’ll end up with a few drops. So you can understand why it’s so expensive. Also there is a good reason for that - it's the formulation that's unique as well the ingredients. SK -II is the only company to use Pitera as an ingredient to create this iconic product. What exactly is Pitera? Playfully referred to as “Miracle Water” in Asia, it comes with a bucketload of beauty benefits.
the 1980s skincare routine: clearasil or oxy cleanser seabreeze toner clearasil acne cream or oxy pads if you had money, oil of olay moisturizer. if no money, something cheap like st. ives or vaseline st. ives apricot scrub for exfoliation (the one for acne is amazing!)
Hey James, love your content. Quick question, what do you think of the skincare company Good Molecules. I just got from things from them and I can't really find anything about the company. Just wondering what you think. Thanks ❤️
I have been very influenced by your videos! I love how informative and honest you are, I started watching your content a week ago, and loved your energy and soothing voice - subscribed!!! Now I'm fully locked in and have made my first purchases at SPACENK (ever!), S'able Labs, and a K-skincare haul!!!! I'm still a natural product girlie too, but adding a few new products that make sense for my skin & lifestyle just make sense (I'm also a former Lush employee pahaha). Thank you for the tips! 🤗
Just starting to get into Korean skincare and noticed there’s sugarcane extract in a lot of products including the Anua Heartleaf toner. I was surprised to see an exfoliating ingredient in many products targeted to soothing and they didn’t end up agreeing with my reactive skin 💔
I'm packing to move & was perusing the Ytubes for something interesting to watch while I pack. Was about to turn YT off when your video popped Up ! &&&&& 😊🙃😄 it's an hour and some change ! with all the skincare info I need and want . Thank You James ❣❤❣❤
Oh jeez a few seconds in and as a Millennial I feel both seen and called out 😭 James, I used to wipe my face with straight rubbing alcohol and violently scrub it with disposable pads they don't even sell anymore, literally identical to the pan scrubbing side of a dish sponge. You don't know the half of it 🥲 I really subscribed to the "oil is the root of all acne" philosophy..... And my skin was good in the 90s too uggghhhh dysphoria is SINISTER. Edit: in case anyone says it, yes I know he's a Millennial but I am 1 year from Gen X, trust me we were even stupider.
I really appreciate the compilation, as I neither use Instagram nor Tik Tok. Just that I would prefer if they came more frequently as a 1 1/2 hour video of tik toks is just way to much content to digest for me Or the vids being posted as shorts. That would also be very lovely. Nevertheless tysm for posting ❤ *Spelling
i'm not even a millennial but the "whatever moisturiser your mum owned" is the biggest truth ever!!!! why do they always seem to work better than the one I have? omg
I am 40 and I remember that when we were kids if your cleanser didn't feel like it was chemically removing the top layer of your face, it wasn't working. I was at a karate studio sleepover as a kid and a bunch of us managed to goad some of the instructor chaperones into putting on makeup. One of them marched into the bathroom to wash it off immediately after and grabbed the big blue tub of Noxzema cleansing cream somebody kept in there. I remember warning him to definitely keep it away from his eyes right as he bellowed, "WHAT?" and proceeded to firmly rub two huge double wads of it right into his eyeballs. He did not stop. He did scream loudly, but just kept rubbing it into the rest of his face before rinsing it off in the sink. He screamed the entire time. I remember deciding in that moment that if this is what it was to be a manly man, I was very glad I was not one 😂😅
Why have I never heard anyone talk about the Wet ‘n’ wild essence primer?! It was like £7 at Boots and Galactomyces Ferment Filtrate is the second ingredient after water.
❤ I have a tricks that I'm using for face masks. When I was younger I Love to use them. But now I simply have no time walking around in the mask. I'm too busy having kids and house and everything. So what I'm doing? I'm keeping empty bottles from my serums. And when I get a new mask I squeeze everything out as much as I can into the bottle and then I use the mask as it is. And in result of that I have a serum that I will be using for at least 2 weeks❤
You have rosacea?! I don't mean to be excited about it, but I have rosacea too, so it's nice to find someone who gets it! All of my skin care products have to be carefully selected and fragrance free. It's a pain in the butt.
As part of the #NeverGettingTikTok crowd, thank you for the compilation. Sunscreen for us as kids was the law, even when we looked like a flock of ghosts. My sister always tried to tan, but stayed pale, while even slathered to casper levels, I got a tan. Better sunscreens, limiting outside time during the brightest hours, and big floppy hats for me. It's hard enough to find foundation as is, much less if I got any sun. It's so funny how big Korean skincare blew up as an adult, because when I was a kid, most Koreans I knew used American or French luxury skincare.
Just fyi, I think there was too much compression used in the audio editing on a few of these videos within this compilation. I only notice because of the popping sound. The exact same thing happens to me if I don't get my compression combination just right. It drove me nuts when I first noticed it, and I had to remove one sound fx at a time to figure out which thing was causing the popping noises. It doesn't have to be there 🫣, lol 🤗❣️

Yes. I deleted it yesterday for this reason.

I loved that apricot scrub, really felt like it was removing all those pesky layers of skin 🙃 skin problems start with having skin!!!
‘I’m whispering because my dogs are in bed and they deserve good rest’ I’m done 😂😂😂
The “whatever moisturizer your mom owned” is so real lmao I was 12 and using the whole 1- whatever step Clinique had because that’s all my mom used

You’re being way more gentle with that scrub than we were, let’s be honest lol. Once I learned not be gentle and not use it every day, it was fine lol
Fragrance is the best part of the experience!! People are so odd
i'm not even a millennial but the "whatever moisturiser your mum owned" is the biggest truth ever!!!! why do they always seem to work better than the one I have? omg
I want the mua lip product, but they're not shipping to the USA right now. 🙁

MUA Makeup Academy can't be shipped to the US last I checked, that balm looks nice 😢
I didn’t see the title of the first tiktok and kept getting really worried seeing each product you were using, then I went back and… it’s very true
🤣🤣🤣🤣 I saw that fear and hesitation before you rubbed that St Ives all over your face!
whoah...James made a full length film 😝
Why have I never heard anyone talk about the Wet ‘n’ wild essence primer?! It was like £7 at Boots and Galactomyces Ferment Filtrate is the second ingredient after water.

The hesitation at even putting the Apricot Scrub on your skin just for the video made me actually lol
More of these compilations please as I refuse to get TikTok
TikTok is banned in Hong Kong. Thank you so much for uploading your compilations
Can I ask you a question for real? What do you think about Good Genes Sunday Riley? Thanks 🥰
You have rosacea?! I don't mean to be excited about it, but I have rosacea too, so it's nice to find someone who gets it! All of my skin care products have to be carefully selected and fragrance free. It's a pain in the butt.

It's funny, but my Mother is from Korea and moved to the US before I was born, and she swore by those Elizabeth Arden Serum ampoules, while I obstinately removed my makeup with either Noxema or Pond's Cold Cream fresh out of the icebox, then washed my face with Kirks castile soap after that, and spritzed changpo water on my face as a refresher.
She would manage to get that ridiculously expensive serum on me once a month doing a home spa day with my little sister and brother.
James! 😍
When u pulled out the apricot scrub I had war flashbacks. It smelled amazing but 😮💨 my skin barrier was effed up
Oh no you didn’t!! 😲💜 (that was in response to the first part of this vid with the scrub and powder oil blotters.)
The way he hesitated to put the scrub.💀
Lol love this
James pleaseeeeeeeee review Flaskin by Numbuzin!!!!

Would appreciate it if you would let the text for each product stay on screen for more than a couple of seconds.

I appreciate the compilation but could you maybe separate audio and non audio ones? Especially for 1,5h 🥲
