    in the future, any of these arcade sticks that aren't going to use standard buttons should be having hotswap keyswitches instead. would allow for repair-ability and even a reason to have it over normal sticks for some people.

    I think that the red compund on the shaft (the one that was there when first opened) is ther to meke the shaft stick to the arcade once it is installed.
    Because you shifted the position of the balltop the compaund was not used and the stick became loose.

    I like the idea of this. But I think I wanna make my own with the same size. But either use a wasd drop in or use a Link EX Groove detachable mod for ease of travel

    my mom bought this for me over a licensed hori stick because i was "only buying for the name". the buttons can be pressed by a feather and i couldnt unscrew the stick after screwing it in once. it's an okay stick for beginners i guess, i ended up buying parts to build my own arcade stick in the end

      Ah that’s interesting! At least it pushed you towards making your own stick which is gonna be more meaningful than any stick you could just buy!

      I got it a couple of days ago didn't wanna commit to a full on project or buy one that's over 100$ since I didn't know if I'd like it plus a local store had it so I didn't have to wait for delivery time and so forth...., but so far I am enjoying it, though I do plan on replacing the stick with a sanwa one, buttons are OK and kinda a pain to replace so xD
      Mostly testing it on tekken 8, didn't try it on any of the 2d fighters so i can''t comment on how it fares there, the noticeable thing was that I pressed buttons before inputting a direction, idk if that's because of arcade stick in general and I need to get used it or the default stick has a bit more deadzone than higher quality sticks. but once I took that into consideration and got used to it, I could string my combos fine. I can do wave dashing and ewgfs fine and consistently and overall for the price it's OK, although haven't tried any of the branded sticks so I can't comment on the difference between them. The build itself feels nice, it doesn't feel like cheap plastic. Haven't tried it on ps or android as I've mostly been playing on pc. Though I would like it if it had a bit more surface area.

    I'm willing to bet "Dobe" is pronounced the Japanese way, so it would be like "Doh-bay".
    Like yourself, I have a large collection of arcade sticks that range in size. I personally wouldn't buy a stick of this size. While you don't need a stick to be giant with eight 30mm buttons laid across, I think the ideal starting size would be a stick about twice the size of this Dobe Electronics Mini Stick that at least used 24mm buttons instead of these 18mm buttons. The problem with these 18mm buttons is that there are very few buttons can you can mod to improve the overall stick and your fingers will run into the other buttons like when you use a keyboard that's too small on an old thinkpad.
    If you haven't check out the Mayflash F100. That's really where I'd say the starting line for comfortable arcade sticks are you could reasonably mod with better parts and not break the bank with. Of course you could go bigger, higher end, but Mayflash has always been great entry level sticks that you can mod. Thankfully, we're now living in a time where almost everyone uses 24mm or 30mm. No more of those awkward 28mm buttons!

      @MakeYourOwnFun  2 роки тому

      Regarding the pronunciation of Dobe, that’s a pretty good guess and I don’t know why it didn’t cross my mind!
      Yeah I picked this stick up because it seemed just so small that I was curious to see what they had done. There are a lot of compact all-button controllers out there but not too many with a joystick lever and with all the modern functionality we expect these days.
      I may eventually pick up a Mayflash stick but yeah I’ve got quite a few other sticks to cover in the collection still!
