Toyota 4Runner remote start hack - Keep engine running while doors locked (with key fob)

This is a short explanation video of being able to have your 4Runner running with the doors being locked. This will work if you have a key fob. This is for 4Runners that do not have remote start from the factory.

I found this out this winter as well. I think you can skip the step where you lock all the doors and unlock the driver side to get out. Locking from the outside will lock all the doors.

That is a good point. I think you would just have to turn the key twice in the door. I have mine so when I unlock the doors they all unlock, but you are right. Thank you! Just trying to help others who may not have known.

How stupid it is on toyota. I also have bmw and it’s much easier, just push one button close. Done ✔️
