  • Virgin Mojito | How to Make The Best Virgin Mojito
    Virgin Mojito or Mocktail Mojito is a refreshing concoction of mint leaves, lime juice, sugar (or honey syrup) and soda water. Today I want to show you the widely popular Virgin Mojito Recipe vs my favourite way of making this refreshing drink.
    Widely famous and served is the Virgin Mojito, which uses a Lime Juice, Mint Leaves, Honey Syrup (2 parts honey to one part water), Soda Water and sometimes a pinch of salt. I like it, but I find it too zesty, and the honey flavour doesn't match well with the idea of the Mojito taste.
    This delicious non-alcoholic cocktail may seem fancy, but the recipe uses the simplest ingredients. My Virgin Mojito uses lime juice, soda, mint leaves, cane sugar, soda water, lime wedges and lots of crushed ice for the perfect blissful drink after a long day. These are the same ingredients you would find in a traditional recipe (minus the rum). This means that the taste of this delicious non-alcoholic drink is very similar to the classic cocktail.
    My favourite way to garnish this refreshing drink is with a generous sprig of mint (which smells great when you sip it) and a wedge or lime wedge. These drinks look great in any glass, a fantastic combination of fresh mint, lime, and ice.

    Like the change of pace with a mocktail. Really like side-by-side comparisons. And certainly like the longer videos. Though I prefer to crush ice with a bag and mallet... A wonderful stress reliever!

      Thank you, Keith. I feel explaining in detail is better than just dropping recipes. I wish I had a mallet, but my bar won't stand the pressure, haha 😂

    Great video as always Georgi. Your version sounds great. Is that how you make your normal Mojitos with the rum added of course?

      Thanks, buddy. Yes, I make my mojitos always with granulated sugar. In the bar, of course, we use sugar syrup for consistency and faster serving. At home, always granulated sugar and no middle 👍

    I’m going to try both! But out of curiosity- is there a reason you didn’t use simple syrup or agave syrup for the mock mojito instead of honey?

    • @JSOS
      @JSOS  7 місяців тому +1

      Go for it. I did compare the version with the honey against mine with the raw sugar. Of Course, you can use simple or agave syrup. It's a personal taste. I like the little crunch from the sugar. That's all.

    Ok. I'm making this tomorrow.
    You use a lime wedge, vs a lime wheel? I always thought that the wheels look more festive.

    • @JSOS
      @JSOS  2 роки тому +1

      You can use a wheel. It's a personal choice 👍

    What's the ice crusher that you use? How long have you had it?

    • @JSOS
      @JSOS  2 роки тому +1

      It's one of the oldest on the market. I used to have it back in the 90s, so I mouth it again-this one I had for two years. If you look after it, it will last you for a long time. Here is the link amzn.to/3EYrBuB
