One of the most underrated survival horror games! It had very interesting and somewhat complicated story, good graphics and creepy atmosphere but gameplay could have been better and the game was hard as nails! Still, it deserves much more attention.
Totally agree, the main drawback for me were controls, especially when it came to spiders (it's just so hard to maneuver). Other than that the game is a real masterpiece. And it has the scariest zombies in a game ever - man those eyes :D
@@jedimaster4798 It would have been sick to have remake of this game or even sequel but unfortunately Creative Reality, who made this game has been long dead and buried. On the other hand, maybe this game was so great because of the low budget and the kind of overall cheesiness of the game. I may be old but i think many PS1 era horror games has that kind of horrifying atmosphere that most of the modern horror games lack.
Its flaws aside, it's amazing that it was put together on a tiny budget with a dev team of like 6 people. A very talented team considering they had practically nothing to work with. The former Visceral Studio devs would be my go-to choice for remaking this game. Dead Space is practically a spiritual successor to it when you compare a lot of the concepts and they've shown they can consistently put out quality when it comes to doing horror.
I think what made the story so compelling and complex was the fact that one of the writers was actually planning on making this story a Novel either before or after the game came out. (Hence the rather unique name of the game) Sadly the game was rushed by a few months and they actually were unable to input some context clues and hints in the game to help the player navigate some puzzles. But time constraints hit hard and they had to ship a 90 percent complete game as a result. i think I would have liked to read this story as a novel in my younger years
20 minutes yes very spooky!!!! I had this game for pc this ost wasnt in the ps1 version!!!! I really appreciate this game for what it is it def is spooky never got to beat it yet!!!!
Yea I did mess up the title for the song TriMorph, if I can find out how to open the rest of the music files the game says there are 23 tracks but I've never found a way to open them,
Same goes with Creative Reality's other game "Dreamweb"... game itself is not that good but soundtrack is brilliant! Go check out Dreamweb soundtrack if you are not familiar :)
its a interesting survival game to me because of its story that is set on mars. as 10/10 rating from me combat with ranged weaponry is a 8/8 as silent hill + resent evil & kicking is a secondary attack is rarely used. but no punching & a 6/6 rating from me. I agree with ya about the music & 3:29 is too perfect as my favorite soundtrack to hear. as I give it a 13/13 rating. to my option its a alright game. btw Martian gothic: unification has some silent hill put in because of its controls with combat animations & game engine.
This game scared me alot when I was younger, now when I listen to the soundtrack again I can still get goose bumps... ENJOY !

Mano Saarinen I agree and the score was incredible. It makes the game more dreadful feeling.

Social Distancing: The Game
Haha, that' golden! 👍😀
Thanks, trapazoid11. I definitely have to give this game a replay.
3:29: its too perfect for Martian gothic: unification.
The second track is gorgeous.
It sounds a lot like one of the Chinese tracks for C&C Generals 2003. Bill Brown must have been a fan of this.
11:39 This version of Necropolis is much more erie than the ps1 version, and even that one was still good.
Weird, i have never noticed when playing the game that there's heavy breathing in Shuttle Bay music track. Mind= blown!
already crapped my pants.
I love this ost and the game too,it is a horror game for ps1 and ms windows.
علی سید حسینی cool game and score.
I was so scared of this game when I was a kid and besides that it was too hard for me. I completed it just a year ago. Shame it's not on GOG
Games like this are the ones they should remake. Use the treatment to re-work and make these less desirable games better
This game would be amazing if it were remade like modern 3rd person Resident Evil.
we have a much better soundtrack now, even found a bunch off cut music that was never used, thanks to Doze

Bill Brown borrowed quite a bit from "Infomesh Kenzo" for the Chinese soundtrack of C&C Generals.
excellent soundtrack, although I don't manage to finish the game
Yea I did mess up the title for the song TriMorph, if I can find out how to open the rest of the music files the game says there are 23 tracks but I've never found a way to open them,
the necropolis theme seems to be the only redeeming thing about the game
Question. How did he get the soundtrack?
This game was impossible to beat. Seriously.
Bad game, excellent music.
GUNDAMLOCKON the game couldve been better but i dont think it was terrible. I agree the score is incredible.

This game could use a remake.
