Greatest metal band ever.
this isnt an opinion, its a fact (literally)
Agreed. 🤝🗿
Greatest band ever.*
Agreed 🗿
Greatest band, period! Just year and year unbelievable!
It was 1989 when my Dad went to go see "Metallica" in their absolute prime in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. As a kid growing up, he would always blast their music in the house, as well as in the car and I loved it just as he did! Now, fast forward to 34 years later to when he first saw them live and now I finally went to my first "Metallica" concert. As in my Dad's honor, especially since it has been 11 years since he has have been gone, I made sure to not miss this show at all. I took my 65 year old rockstar Mom along with me because she's a metalhead herself and we couldn't miss this opportunity. I honored my Dad last year by going to see "Rammstein", "Iron Maiden" and now I honored him again by seeing "Metallica". I will continue to honor him as best as I can because I try my best to be the best son he ever had.
By the way, to all of you on here, Metallica is one of my all time favorite bands and definitely one of the greatest bands you will ever since live, which is why I recommend you all to one day go to their concert. Also, I uploaded some videos myself on UA-cam and I hope all enjoy it!
Hello, Mike here from Germany. Have Seen Metallica 9 times live since 2002 ... Cannot agree more. My Absolute favorite band
@@87metalmikeThat's awesome and I am sure they never disappointed you once! That's how great they are! Also, since you're from Germany, I have seen Rammstein and need to see them again because those guys definitely put the best live show anyone will ever see. 🔥🤘
@@Cadinho93 " Rammstein" -In my opinion, they support the fascist regime in Russia and Putin💛💙
As we honor our Father's, the spirit world rocks with us. Such a blessing you are able to do that with your Mom.
@veps actually Zelensky is the one hiding those poor children that are being trafficked through Ukraine with the help of Bidens executive orders
1:41 James gets hit by a ball, laughs and continues playing. What a legend.
I was at this show he was getting attacked by them the whole song while Kirk was going around just trying to kick them back to the crowd😂
Wow, giant beach balls..... so brutal
@@georgelanders4271 not meant to be brutal it’s meant to make it more fun for the fans and band!
It's a great idea for the balls. People tend to like throwing things at bands so here they give them something totally safe to throw around
@@zuckleyplays4120 in montreal they kept congregating around Lars, and I was getting worried about his drums
At 3:35, Kirk pushes the ball into Lars' drums, knocking over a standing china. Lars laughs and keeps playing 😂 What I love about them is that they're still fun 😁
😭 bro I was there live idk how I didn’t see that
Kirk sending a message to Lars to put a f*cking ride on the kit instead of the China lol
@@Huddle_House56 His drums - his choices 🤷 Fortunately, he doesn't try to play china in ride moments like in "Bleedeng me" or others... which happened to him some time ago🤦😄😄
@@marcinucjan1954 he always does that lmao. Hit the lights or FFWF for example
@@Huddle_House56 In "Hit the lights" and similarly fast tracks, it doesn't bother me so much in terms of dynamics; but i know what you mean
James is sixty years old and still sounding great.
Well now he is 61❤
I think his voice sounds better now than it did in the kill em’ all era
Make that 61
I don’t care what anyone says, it’s THE GREATEST BAND IN ALL THE LAND
They ruled the world
by a long long shot
Maybe in 1986
@@helloitsmehbthat wasn't even their prime u goof
@@SNtrollzTF everything before Injustice For All was their prime
It’s imposible not to smile watching this! James getting hit by the ball just made my entire day 😂
That was honestly really hilarious when that happened
When?
lol by the security no less..trying to deflect it only to hit him hhahaha he just punches it
pretty sure he was trying his hardest to not laugh his ass off when that happened
Sounds great after 40 years, loved this song since my dad first showed it to me
All I can say is... I will ABSOLUTELY ❤❤❤ Metallica FOREVER 💝 !!!! Nobody else compares 😊😮😂❤❤❤❤ !!!!
This was my first Metallica concert, I’m so happy to have seen them play this song
That's awesome. You got the live debut of Too Far Gone. Luckyyyy
Happy for you,i saw them 11 times, everybody deserves to see them at least once in their life.🔥🤟🔥
@@mattdad8429 I was so happy they played that song, probably my favorite song off the new album
Metallica is a band that plays with big balls.
5:52 was so smooth lol
Best band to ever walk the earth
This song is released on their first album, it still hits until this day! 🤘
James sang it really well despite his age and change in voice. 🏆
And getting hit with beach balls 😂
@@skrillah6259bro I was there and he was getting attacked all of seek with those balls 🤣 (night 2 with whiskey was way more calm)
His voice is more deeper thanks to cigars, love it !
I couldn't help but notice he "cheaped out" on the crux riff, though.
Also noticed the camera stayed off him during that time. I would understand it, but I hope he's not trying to hide.
Dude's f-ing SIXTY! You're allowed to be 60 and have a hard time playing songs your coked-up 20-year-old self wrote in a fit of rage and angst. lol
@@ThisHandleFeatureIsStupid even worst for Kirk with His solos, not really accurate yesterday in Montréal! very good show though
This might be their best performance of Seek in a while! Something about the energy is next level. Plus the beach balls. And James sounds great!
As someone that has seen this song preformed a dozen or so times since the 80, I have to disagree. I'm here listening to it thinking "Where did the edge go? What's with the Balloons? Where is the Bass?"
what are you 12? this feels like x2 slower than the original
@@sxty8goatsquit whining lil bro
@@petrub27
Calling someone "12" over an opinion is a failed invalid argument.
@sxty8goats even though the beach balls have been done with the exception of hardwired tours for the last 15 years lmao
This weekend was the most fun I’ve ever had!!!! Seek and Destroy was amazing everyone was having a blast🤘🔥
Section 106💪. Awesome time for sure
Hope Kirk didn’t kick a ball in a kid’s face again lol
Those vocals from 2:43 - 2:58 😮💨 What a legend.
@@kissmyairss no
@@kissmyairssjust look on his age, binge & purge was 30 years ago. James Hetfield is still strong, just listen how for example sounds Axl Rose or Bon Jovi now
@@gooraleqwow, you actually mentioned JBJ in the same sentence with James Hetfield. This is one of the seven signs of The Apocalypse.
@@gooraleqAxl doesn’t sound as bad as he gets made out to. And he still brings tons of energy to his performances
agreed!!
The fact that the only reason I didn’t go to this show is because I couldn’t convince my dad really really makes me mad
1:40 that was dave’s spirit hitting james
I took my kids to see them last Sunday August. I'm 49 years old and I've never seen Metallica live until then. I have to say I got kind of emotional ,its one thing to hear them on a CD but quite incredible seeing musical heroes up close .It was quite the experience seeing them live , total Legends. They're the reason I picked up the guitar and ultimately became a music teacher❤❤🎉
-thank you guys for the inspiration
I saw them 3 times in their prime in the 90s! Epic. They are still kicking ass at 60 though, can you believe this!?
I want so much to see a Metallica concert. Please come to Portugal 🇵🇹 me and alot of people in Portugal want to ser Metallica 😭 (sorry for my bad English)
Kisses from Portugal 🇵🇹❤️
5:31 Robert causally spining and playing, Legend
I WAS THERE! August 4 and 6 were My first Metallica shows!
Awesome 👍👍 friend
Travelled from England with my 16yr old son to see these two shows. Absolutely phenomenal experience 👌
Beautiful! Metallica are the best
This is hands down the #1 best song they play live, it gets the audience so hyped and it is just amazing whenever they play it
Went to both nights and let me tell you I had a smile on my face the whole time. I went with my dad who is a Metalhead as well. I so enjoyed myself and it’s great that they have this energy 42 years later. My all time favorite band!! Long love Metallica🤘🏻🤘🏻
METALLICA Rocks this cool band
My fav part is 0:00 to 8:45
1:41 James gets hit by the ball, laughs and continues playing. What a legend. (but I don't know if it will happen to me if a fan throws it at me)
Metallica got balls, that's for sure.
05:30 - A wild Trujillo appears
That 72 Season Tour can't be stopping next year... They will not have been to Eastern Asia, Middle East, Oceania, India, North Africa, South America, and several important places in North America and Europe...
That 2 day formula with some spacing between 2 location, and several breaks of a couple of weeks each 5 or 7 shows is exactly what suits these guys now that they are 60, and still manages to cover lots of locations and people.
This slow paced (but intense) tour needs to be going on for the next 3 years at least!
Those countries need to invite them in first! 😉😊
1:41 To Start a Fight?!
The Ball: "No se diga más"🎉😅
"A quien le estas diciendo shut up?!" jajaj
METALLICA IS SO AWESOME LIVE!🔥🔥🎸☠️🤘
SEX FEELS GREAT! are we just commenting the obvious?😂🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
The best
Saw them with the GNR tour back in the 90s. After Metallica was done, we could barely hear. GNR came on after them and they were nowhere near as amazing as Metallica.
I’m so pumped to say that I was there on both nights! Best concert weekend I’ve ever been too! It was amazing to see them live and hopefully I get to see them again someday! Their playing was tight and not to mention Shadows Follow and Too Far Gone debuts! Amazing experience and amazing show! Metallica forever
Both nights were awesome! I didn’t think the first nights setlist could be matched but they pulled some gold ones out for the second night and it was just as good. And the crowd energy was insane the second night. Not to mention 80k people doing the wave before they came out! That was so random and awesome to see honestly 😂
I was there with you brotha in the GA for the first time. Both nights. Incredible. My wife is ready to kill me because I can’t stop talking about it lmao! I’m still BUZZING!
@@TheJerseyNinja😂bro and the wave went on for like 3-5 minutes long it
@@zuckleyplays4120 for real. I was about 4 sections over from the section that was trying to start it. I was in 144 and we saw them trying to start it and send it the other way and it kept dying like 3 sections down the sideline. We thought no way it’s gonna go. They tried for like 5 minutes straight with it dying. Then suddenly I hear something and look over and it’s made it all the way around and is about to come to us I was surprised. Then it just kept growing and getting bigger and bigger until literally all 3 levels were doing it and being loud when it came to their sections it was honestly so cool to see. Kinda corny yeah, but just shows how amped up the crowd Sunday was that we had so much energy ready for Metallica to come out that we were doing probably the best wave in a stadium I’ve ever personally seen, before a concert. Not even a sporting event, a concert. 😂
@@TheJerseyNinja nah dude idc how corny it was I absolutely loved doing the wave and the entire section me included were laughing out asses off 😂. Thank you guys for not giving up on the wave that was so much fun and you’re right it’s the best wave I’ve ever seen and it wasn’t even a sporting event where it’s usually done at!😭
Metallica forever 🎼🎸
By far the best 2 days of my life 🤘🏽🤘🏽
Awesome 👍👍 friend
I really like how they keep including the difference in the third guitar lick during the chorus, even if this sounds like one of the slower performances of the song I've heard.
5:30 Love the Robnado!
Even in the third level of the stadium we could see James fighting for his life against the balls and it was absolutely hilarious 😭
This is the best guitar tone Metallica's ever had. So clear and beautiful. Those last 2 riffs are killer.
What a great Good-morning-gift from Metallica! 🤘🏾
5:30 onwards be like "Robert Used 'Spin'!, It was very effective". Reasons why I think rob deffo one of my favorite bassist of all time
You can feel the energy throught those videos, now imagine being there 🫠 Amazing job Metallica !! Can't wait to see you in Madrid next year 🤘
1:58 i love how camera man tried to push the ball
About to see them at Sofi! Superrr excited. ❤❤
Those balls were the perfect distraction !!!!
I has the chance to see Metallica 4 times live. First time i was 18 years old, now 43. Love you guys. Hope you’ll make it to Turkiye once more. 🇹🇷
This was a fantastic show, glad to be there
The concert was so much fun! This was my second concert and this was so much better than the first one. I went to the one on the first day and you guys played songs I didn’t know. Well I did know some but not much. Then the second day you guys played every song I wanted you to play! But it was still amazing! The best band ever
Camera man at 2:56 just accepted his fate, he didn't move an inch
This was my first ever metallica concert, everything was so good. The crowd, atmosphere and metallica. Just love Metallica \m/
Metallica you have to come over to amneville arena France we love you
One of the best nights of my life!!!!!!!! Thank you METALLICA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What a goal by Lars ulrich! (4:54)
I'm from Costa Rica and had my ticket for that night, unfortunately cause of a family health situation I wasn't able to travel... thank you for uploading those great videos, hope u guys had an awesome time 🤟
0:22 - 7:41 Seek And Destroy

Possibly the best performance of this song I've ever seen/heard

Some of the best metal still alive today.. Love you guys🤘
5:32 i still dont know what he wants to accomplish with that till this date but thats hillarious
He wants to change the rotation of Earth obvs. Rob is awesome 😁
Hugs from Portugal. 🇵🇹🤟🏻
Old school Metallica was the best. My son's band covers this song. Rocker N Shocker Pacific Beach California. 🤘
Can’t believe that they keep getting better and better with time. One of the greatest bands of all time. 🤘🏻
Search & 😎🤘
Watching them all trying to play and dodge beach balls at the same time is hilarious 😂
Was there, Friday and Sunday.. days I’ll never forget! THANKS just THANKS 🖤
3:34 Kirk's butt slam hits a ball and damage Lars china, that faint up with a critical hit 😂
Metallica the best. Hi brothers i can`t believe I almost there at the huge Metallica show in Detroit Michigan in November. I Need Your Help ASAP !!!
After so many years and they still sound perfect, just Metallica🎶
the rob helicopter had me rolling at the show 😂
Rock n roll will never die
2:44 my favorite part of this version
Holy shit!
40 years (40 fokin' years 😂) are gone, and these grandpas are playing this fantastic song with the same power and NRG!!
Unbelievable!!
Great performance, great stage presence.
Best metal band still, no doubt!
On a loop in my head. Love the intro. 'Let's see what happens.' Um ya!!!!
James lookin' like the 💣 😮
This is so good!!❤❤
Took my 8 year old daughter to this show! Her first ever concert! She was singing along! Searchin!!! Seek and Destroy! Proud papa moment right there! We had a great time!
My first time seeing Metallica in person. It was epic! 🤘🏻🤘🏻
I First saw Metallica in washington D.C. in 1986 They were opening act for OZZY Tickett cost 16.50!!!
I always thought Metallica had the biggest balls on the planet. Now I have proof.
Underrated comment
They still rock 🤘
Nice idea the balloons 🤣
I Truly Believe That James Was Thrilled To Play That Song And The Old School Definitely Came Out In Them In That Performance !!! His Voice Is Even Better Now Than Ever And The Smiles On Their Faces At The End Showed How Happy They Were To Play It !!! It Made My Day And It’s My Favorite Video Of All Time Now !!! God Bless Them For Giving Us Their Music !!!
Amazing!!!🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘i love this music ❤
Back then, when Kill Em All came out, it was so underground. I could never ever believe that one day whole stadiums would sing that songs. Fascinating.... but also a little sad. You know, it wasn't party music. It was just the opposite. And that's why I loved it.
8 minutes and 44 seconds of Metallica trying to fight off 1000 blow up balls while trying to play music 😂
Not 72?
Just saw them for the sixth time, the greatest metal band ever!!!
The only one Metallica, always imitated never equaled
Omg I have no words for how much I love this band! Thank you Metallica for another awesome video! This song always gets me going! It was the first Metallica song I ever listened to way back around 1985 and they’ve been my favorite band ever since! I can’t get to a live show this time around so these videos are great!
That place was absolutely INSANE!!!! First concert I’ve ever been to. They did not disappoint at all!!! They were fantastic!!!!!
01:35 ”We're scanning the scene and turning into night…” What? Wait a minute?
Such a great weekend! Thank you Metallica!! 🤘🏻
I know its NJ. But it the New Yorker fans in the house !!!!!!!! Nothing like it!!!!!! Talicca!!!!!!!
Where are the videos for August 6th?
I'm thinking about it since the last week... The only published the ones from August 4
The trumpets are blowing from HEAVEN TODAY HAPPY BIRTHDAY JAMES MAY ALL YOUR WISHES COME TRUE from all your fans in DETROIT xo🎉🐐💯🥳
