i think i might be in the minority , but i actually like that they went this route. the cycle was always meant to reset one way or another , balance and destruction after every harmonic convergence, a reset button every 10,000 years. this is the first convergence since wan fused with raava, so this was meant to happen. if u go back to previous episodes of both TLOK and ATLA you can clearly see in the air temples' avatar statue line up, the circle ends with Aang and there's no space for another avatar. So like a memory reset for more space Korra was the new Wan beginning another cycle.
Thats how I always viewed it. It sucks seeing all the past lives disappear though.
Y’all just like to excuse mid , they could’ve handled that so much better 💀💀🤣 , the villain for this season has such a poor motivation 😂 , he such an ass villain overall. This plot would’ve been way better if it was built up to the end of the series . It just feels like the writers didn’t wanna deal with past lives anymore and just put that shit in there
Yes!!! Exactly!!! But ppl would just rather hate then see the bigger picture.
@@Adam-ls5cqthey didn't know they were getting a third season. I'm sure if they knew they were getting four seasons off the bat, they'd have more room to work with, the same way they knew from the start where they wanted to go with The Last Airbender. Also applies to then severing the connection. They never thought they'd work on an other Avatar show after Korra.
@@Griffnix this just proves my point , if the production in the background is garbage , that is gonna reflect on the show and it did so y’all can’t come here and say that this route was good , it just wasn’t, rushed , characters were not developed enough , villain was ahh and it literally feels like Korra's character literally was developing backwards , bc all that stuff of her being impatient with Tenzin and stuff earlier in the season is something that already happened in season 1 when she began her air bending training she was the exact same way , wasn’t listening , but then her and Tenzin realized that they needed to have patience with each other . But in season 2 is like that development never happened and she was just the annoying, impatient brat again , arguing with everyone especially Mako for no reason, just for them to break up in this season , after they rushed their relationship in season 1 too 💀💀🤣
me shaking, quaking, aching, and BAKING for season 3
We almost there 🤩🤩
Saame. I'm so hyped for season 3 and even better: season 4
Meesh is always so disciplined not spoiling anything through both series.
Everytime Dee is doing any theorie for future episodes Meesh is like 😐 unreadable
Hahahha she is very hard to crack!! 😂🤣
-D
She must be hard to beat in poker. Man.
😂😂
She's a keeper
Lol, she does take a lot of L's. But to their credit, they battled through an army to reach the spirit portal, threw down with Unalaaq, threw down with Vaatu, then went toe to toe with UnaVatuu, and even looked like she was winning. But who knew Raava could get ripped out? The past connections being severed definitely caused the most division in the fan base, but I think it was an important part of Korra's growth.
I see your point here! 🙏🏼 thanks for watching along. Korra’s Ls gotta turn to Ws at some point 🥲
I love the parallel of Korra being “powerless” like Avatar Wan at the beginning before he fused with Raava and learned any elements. She just lost Raava’s spirit, and that kind of overwhelming grief could be so much to deal with. 🥺🩵
Can’t even imagine that feeling esp being the avatar 💔
Not only did the fog not drive Tenzin insane, he somehow made it help him to heal his psychological baggage, that is impressive.
And the fact that Avatar Yangchen herself nearly died to the fog of lost souls and had to be saved when Tenzin more easily overcame it, that's impressive for Tenzin.
Tenzin is so underrated 🙏🏼❤️
Also, didn’t know that about Yangchen!
i feel like a lot of people underestimate that all of the villains in korra are ozai level and stronger ..........
Exactly!
11:14. Imagine knowing that once your father died you were the last person left on the planet keeping a thousands of years old culture alive. The weight of that burden must have been very heavy on Tenzin prior to him meeting Korra & having his children. Also, a lot of people say that Aang was a bad father for showing favoritism towards Tenzin, but keep in mind Aang barely knew his own parents since he was raised by monks, & he was burdened with the knowledge of being the last Airbender for so long. Once Aang had Tenzin he just wanted to ensure that his culture didn't die with him, but Tenzin being the only other Airbender in the world probably made him think he was always going to live in his father's shadow. This scene shows Tenzin is a good Airbending master & provides redemption to both father & son for mistakes they've made in the past. Finally, as we will see in Season 3, Tenzin would become the leader of the Air Nation that Aang hoped he would be while still being his own person rather than just the son of Avatar Aang.
12:48. & here we have arguably the most hated scene in this show; Rava being destroyed which forever cuts of Korra's connection to all of her past lives. However, there's a theory based on a line of dialogue in Season 3 & a scene in Season 4 that the previous Avatars aren't gone forever, it's just that their connection to the current Avatar has been lost. So, they could be reconnected in some manner, which could be an interesting idea for a 3rd Avatar series.
This is my hope that a future avatar learns to reconnect the past lives. I loved that the avatar could communicate with their past lives. Aang on the lion turtle was one of the scenes that really stuck with me over the years as a kid.
Can't wait for season 3 😁
Almost there 😉
The fight with unalaq took a toll on her body, not to mention korra had a spirit tentacle go through her body which is most likely why she was too weak to move. Plus, she felt each strike at Raava, Korra may be the avatar but she's still a human being who feels physical pain
I don't think the past Avatars are really gone
They're Korra's past lives, not Raava's. She only strengthens their link and makes it easier for the current Avatar to communicate with their past lives
Korra did almost put vattu in the tree until unloq stopped her
Truuuue
I knew you two would post the next episode today!! I was waiting 😅! -- it’s so cool how Dee said Unavaatu’s line before he said it at 6:16 “We are now one!” And Meesh the part where Tenzin realizes he should be who he is was also my favourite part of the episode 🙂 it really showed how you become so much lighter and free when you let go of false perceptions of yourself!!!
Really love Tenzin in this episode! 🙏🏼 thanks for watching along with us and great line of letting go of false misconceptions of yourself ❤️
6:48. Keep in mind, Zhao got dragged into the Spirit World in the Avatar Season 1 finale, which from the series' point of view was over 70 years ago, so as far as we know he's been trapped in this prison for all of that time.
Meesh’s thumbnail face summs up everyone watching season 2
Right?! 😂😂😆
No Dee he’s severing Korea’s connection to her Avatar’s Past Lives.
"I am the son of Avatar Aang. I am the hope for future generations of airbenders. I am the son of Avatar Aang."
I wonder how many times Tenzin had to say this to himself in order to get himself through under all that pressure and burden as the last airbender and successor to Aang. It's definitely why him overcoming that and forging his own path was very inspiring and even emotional here 🥺
Watching Korra get Raava ripped out of her and feel as each of her past life was severed one by one was so painful to watch. It looked like she was in physical pain from that as well...
Fun fact: the spirit mushroom and spider spirit was voiced by Grey DeLisle (Azula's VA)!!
Hey Avatar Meesh and Avatar Dee "Happy Monday". I hope you two had a wonderful weekend. Lol at Meesh face in the thumbnail 🤣
Lol at Dee reaction to Zhao. I feel the twins reason for helping their father is a result of them suffering from stockholm syndrome. It nice to see old man Aang. Now Korra no longer have any connections to the past Avatars. But anyway anyway I hope you two have a wonderful day. Stay safe, take care and stay amazing.
Thanks for watching with us, Avatar Rob! Meesh’s face is everyone’s face during this episode 😂🙏🏼
I think korra is great bender without using avatar state
Such a downer of an episode and I love it. You know they're going to come out on top but it's hard to see how especially after Vatuu got rid of Ravva. But you know what they say, it's always darkest before the dawn.
*UNAVATU EXPLAINED*
Unalaq isnt able to learn all 4 elements as the dark avatar cause if u remember the lion turtles gave the power of the element to raava not wan. The avatar themself isnt actually a bender, raava is! but with the dark avatar, unalaq is a waterbender and vaatu has no bending, so fusing only amplifies his waterbending.
Thank you for this!! 🧠
No Unalaq can only waterbend as a Dark Avatar. Raava hold the elements that she and Wan got during their trip to gather them from the lion turtles. Vaatu never done that and I doubt the Lion Turtle would give it to him. So yeah if you fuse with Vaatu then you can only bend one element. However you do have access to the Dark Avatar State though because that's the RAW power from Vaatu. Same with Raava in the Avatar State.
Meesh & Dee Awesome Video Today!!🔥🐐🐐💎
The Fog Of Despair also appears in NETFLIX'S THE LAST AIRBENDER series too.
yeah they literally said that
The 4 reasons that save this Book are #4. We're reunited with Avatar Aang in that emotional father son moment. #3. We got reunited with Iroh... twice! #2. We got reunited with Admiral Zhao "The Moon Slayer" whom was in this version voiced by none other than Luscious Malfoy aka Jason Isaacs himself and #1. We got to see a Dark Avatar plus a Kiju spirit battle to boot too. Overall, it was actually a good book.
Love all 4 of these reasons!! Especially about the VA for Zhao. I had no idea it was Malfoy!
From a writers stand point this is the best this that they can do. Avatar state is just a fix all power removing it makes the writing better as it is on the charter to find the answer.
I love your channel! your reactions are the best
Thank you so much!!❤️
Imagine seeing one of your fathers past enemies from the war when he was 12. It would be so crazy and would totally eff someone up a bit.
It's Raava who has all 4 elements. Wan could be given one at a time by Raava. But when they fused, it meant the Avatar exists and can access all Raava's elements. Vaatu hasn't held the elements so Unalok can't bend all four
Wrong, the human part of the avatar has the four elements, wan got them from the lion turtles, but he had to fuse with raava to keep up with that power without it hurting him, raava is a catalyst. This is why we see korra still bend without raava, and how the avatars can bend without the avatar state. Unalaq however never unlocked the other bending types so hes stuck with water. If raava has 4 elements then so should vaatu but they both dont.
Heroes taking a bunch of Ls has never bothered me much. I enjoy seeing a hero suffer and how they come back. A big critique of Korra is how she’s so good at stuff for the start. It’s interesting to see how she deals with a serious struggle when she’s not prepared for it as much.
Showing Zhao in that scene is a perfect way to non-verbally explain how long a person can be stuck in the fog.
I love your guys reaction legend of Korra season two my favorite series
❤️❤️❤️
Really? Even with s3 goatness?
Be hope🎉. The next episode is amazing
Korra is the first Avatar now.
I’m actually glad because there was too many avatars without much lore. I will miss Aang and Kyoshi though.
When I first watched this series, this episode almost made me give up on the series.
The whole destroying 10,000 years of history in a span of a few minutes rubbed a lot of fans the wrong way. I really think it was a mistake to do this, but since it's what we got, I'm going to propose an idea that keeps what happens while also making it more impactful. In ATLA, Aang reached out to his past lives way more than Korra did-Aang reached out more times in a day, to his past lives, than Korra did in her entire life-so instead make them more important to Korra. She should've been using their past experiences all the time, becoming dependent on them & their knowledge, then it would've been a real gut punch for everyone & her that they're gone.
Still think they should've taken away her bending (minus air) & had her rediscover the elements. That would've been an interesting multi-season arc, just saying. It would also mean that she'd rely on her friends more, because if she can just air bend (& water at the end of Book 2), she'd need earth & fire too. Alright, back to work for me. =^._.^=
I would be buzzing in my seat Meesh... how do you do it... when you know what's coming LOL. The past connections being severed is where it definitely caused the rift in the whole fan base and this was sorta where people got angry and fed up with Korra 😒 I mean... could you do it better? She was being beaten to a pulp... she's up against her uncle that is a water bending master (which I know she is too... still tho) and then also with him being fused with Vaatu.... that shit ain't going to be easy. I didn't even know you could just split Raava & Korra apart like that when I first watched it... Guess Vaatu knew something there.
However heartbreaking with the connections being lost... this is where Korra starts to grow and where I tell all the haters to piss off lol 🤣 Cause they would legit say she doesn't grow... like, did you watch the rest of the series?
Ugh... anyway! Can't wait for when you start S3! but first the FINALE!
I'm waiting on you ladies to do John Wick 3 let's go 🎥🍿. Halle Berry❤️❤️
i feel like people are too quick to judge korra and give her too litle credit for everything she does. young girl has been fighting for so many eps now and even so, if she was fighting vattu alone she would have put him back in tree quite easily.. but unalaq had to be annoying again and mess it all up
Dope reaction!🔥 This alwaaays pissed me off😂😭 The Avatar Cycle wildin like that truly scared me and brought me to tears.
I used to dislike Korra season 1 & 2; but her character's grown and Korra truly deals with one of the WORST Avatar dilemas/problems in History.
Oh, and the swamp wasn't included in the Live action episode, because that's when Aang sees a vision of Toph remember. And Sokka sees an evil Yue lol.
And that happens in season 2 - they only incorporated Spirit World elements, yes. Wan shi Tong was a little tease for S 2 I guess hahaha.
Always appreciate you watching with us! 🔥😁
Y’all should watch Godzilla the series
Well. There goes all the EXP. Imagine going back to lvl 1😂😭
🥲🥲🥲
Worst uncle ever award
1000%
I don't think Vaatu killed the old avatars. He just broke their connection to Korra.
They can't kill them since they are dead for many-many years...
Please react to Fullmetal alchemist brotherhood, but the sub one
This is also my least favorite season, but one thing that doesn't get mentioned when it should is how terrible the title of 'dark avatar' is. It always felt to me that the show was suddenly writing for a younger audience. What about Unalaq have we seen that he would straight up call himself evil? There's even an easy solution. Call himself the Spirit Avatar. Isn't that what he cares about most?
I hate this and the next episodes because the whole Avatar series become like Pacific Rim.
And just like that, we’ll never see Aang again… Thanks Korra 😒😩 Lol I hate this season so much… But great reaction guys 😂❤ And Meesh doing a great job not spoiling anything for Dee is to be studied, I would have ruined the whole season 😂
lol Meesh does a great job of keeping such a straight face to me 😂❤️
Not korra fault but ok ig!
OH BROTHER UNALAQ STINKS!
THE WORST
I don't care korra is shit avatar Aang people say korra stronger than Aang and better and they say Aang can't defeat korra's villains omg so stupid Aang team forever ❤❤❤
Baby aang can barely keep up with Azula, didnt she k1ll him? And katara had to use special water to revive him? Also, wasnt he struggling with the battle with Ozai until that rock hit his back? Lmaooooo
