I still believe that the WESTERN RIVER EXPEDITION and its corresponding land (Thunder Mesa) should be placed beyond big thunder. It is a non IP attraction and can become a fan favorite among many, bringing back the unique story lines to the disney parks. (It can also serve as a "New Frontierland" so that they can change the current Frontierland to new orleans square)
I would love this, but current Disney management is allergic to originality, especially in Florida 😭
What does it even matter if they do a non-IP ride? They'll immediately make a movie about it, and then it'll be IP, and the movie they make from the ride will suuuuuuck. At least if they do an IP, it'll be from something decent.
@@kevinbhieey9188 A bad movie doesn't ruin a good original ride. The Haunted Mansion is a good example of this (twice!).
True story: When I was 17, about 1974 I arranged to get a tour of Imagineering (WED as it was back then). I met Marc Davis, Blain Gibson and other Imagineers. But I also got a walk-through of the Western River Expedition model as if you were going through the actual ride!

Coco and Moana make sense. But these expansions need multiple attractions in each. High capacity, and different tiers of rides. Disney has been focusing on E tickets for quite a while, and the lower level attractions actually do serve a purpose in theme parks. A Moana and a Coco stage show would be popular in each land, and would add park capacity as well.
I've thought for a while that a Moana take on Shanghai's Pirates technology would be perfect in MK's Adventureland, especially on the land they marked down for the Fire Mountain project that never happened and has gone unused

It's pretty much what the current plan is. They're super high on that ride system and it's going to start appearing everywhere. It's most likely going to be the basis for the Avatar land in DCA, and Moana is the perfect IP for it in Florida. Though why they wouldn't put this in Animal Kingdom - WHICH NEEDS MORE THAN JUST ENCANTO AND INDY - is beyond my comprehension.
I still believe a suspended roller coaster involving the big door room from Monsters Inc would be incredible! I'd put maybe put it over in Hollywood Studios though.
I’ve wanted Coco to have a slow-moving Dark Ride with the hanging Gondala train cars as vehicles.
Magic Kingdom should get the villains land while Hollywood studios get a Muppet theme land in the area of animation courtyard. Move Muppet 3d over there and expand Galaxy's Edge down to Star Tours.

Hollywood Studios needs to capitalize on the 20th century movies like Alien & Predator & Planet of the Apes. Imagine those attractions!
They need to retract all of space mountain. It's like getting a chiropractic adjustment when you go on there. Still love the ride but my goodness man it jerks you around! :-)
Always ask for the first car. I'm betting that they're going to announce a massive refurb for Space Mountain at some point in the near future now that Tron is open. It's so dated and lame compared to the DLR version - and obviously more than the DLP version which is just on another level. It needs to be gutted
No! Just like Big Thunder will assist in the passing of kidney stones (look it up) this will make Disney trips a medical expense 😂
Honestly Villains Land fits more for Beyond Big Thunder Phase 2 (symbolically outside of the traditional railroad "border") than in the "front half" of Hollywood Studios, which is all about filmmaking and show business.
Country Bears should do Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah, obviously!
Aesthetically, Radiator Springs would look great next to Big Thunder, but I agree, going from historic gold rush to anthropomorphic cars is a difficult mental leap! Villains land works in Magic Kingdom as an extension to Fantasyland, but can they access that space behind Haunted Mansion from Fantasyland? A tunnel pathway maybe? They absolutely need a new train station for that expansion too!

I REALLY hope Zootopia goes in Hollywood Studios and Villains in MK. HS is full of single IP lands while MK is full of genre lands that have multiple IPs- so giving each park the other’s style of land makes no sense.
Just got back from Shanghai disney- Zootopia: Hot Pursuit right next to Mickey and Minnie Runaway Railway would be *way* too similar of rides side by side, IMO

It’s complicated but the attraction would not handle the capacity that a Coco ride would attract. Like Frozen Ever After but worse. And the third party restaurant San Angel Inn would not be happy if Disney removed the ride that is a unique reason why people eat there. I feel the only way to do it is build a new ride at the back, and then use the old ride’s show space/track area as queue space for the new ride.
The three caballeros must still have an attraction tho
If they're struggling to find IPs for Beyond Big Thunder, Pride Rock from the Lion King would be an interesting addition. Could transition from Frontierland to the Badlands with a Scar attraction and then have a dark ride inside Pride Rock.

Coco and Cars fit very well with Big Thunder Mountain to give a Southwest US and Mexico vibe. I’m all for it! Also Moana in Adventureland is a great idea. Villains in Hollywood Studios also makes perfect sense with it being close to Fantasmic. These ideas are very reassuring!

Yeah, I’m not a drinker, so I guess my opinion is biased, but I was disappointed when alcohol was introduced to the Magic Kingdom. Not to mention the issues that often occur at Epcot with people having a bit too much, then getting belligerent or starting fights. It takes a lot away from the magic.
Dude, love your show. I’ve always thought they should use John Denver’s song Thank God I’m a Country Boy. Replace Boy with Bear. The whole audience would be clapping and stomping their feet. Also in the song he sings about put cakes (pancakes) on the griddle. Replace cakes with snakes. Cause bears probably eat snakes not cakes. 😄 I picture a few cute looking snakes popping up from a griddle on the fire🔥, on stage, and scurrying away.

The parts of the expansion I would like for the Magic Kingdom to have would be the Marine Life Institute from Finding Dory, the summer hockey camp from Inside Out 2 and the world of The Lone Ranger.
I’m dvc and really don’t want a lounge. Wish it was repurposed for everyone to enjoy

They BETTER make a Villains area! Once they see how much attention the Dark Universe at Universal is gonna get; I can guarantee they’ll make a villains section to try to compete. Because i think the Dark Universe is gonna be a massive hit, just because there’s nothing else like it in any other parks.
Having a Villains' Land in Disney's Hollywood Studios is the best spot, according to the stock selling shelf with the head of Snake Jafar perched on top. The House of Mouse can go there too and it can switch to the House of Villains every October for Halloween; Mickey's House of Villains takes place during Halloween.
Would love a villians/marvel theme park with some kingdom of the planet of the apes
I’m always happy to see Disney expand and upgrade but after all the Blue Sky concepts the company has been showing us over the past few years which has yet to exist, I’m tempering my expectations. I won’t get my hopes up until those walls are up! Still makes me wonder what Disney’s “answer” will be for Epic Universe (those who don’t believe they need an answer are crazy imo!) over the next decade. Great video as always 😊
I am excited for August but I am also a little nervous to see if they're going to just brush passed what everbody has been asking for a very long time or come up with things that nobody really wants.
Part of the refurbishment on Big Thunder Mountain Railroad would be to add those missing wheels on each locomotive hauling the trains of cars for any riders; they can be reattached with drive rods. If the Pirates of the Caribbean ride got refurbished, it ought to include the Kraken, the maelstrom, Whitecap Bay, the Fountain of Youth and the Trident of Poseidon.

If they're smart, the DVC Lounge in Frontierland should have an Old West Saloon aesthetic. Maybe with a self-playing honky-tonk piano...with an animatronic piano player!
Songs I wish were included in the Country Bears Musical jamboree are Oo-De-Lally and Silly Song. O-D-L, from Robin Hood, makes for a good folk ballad and Silly Song, from Snow White, has the energy of a vaudeville song, ties into Appalachian tradition of yodeling music and I even think the “polecat” joke is a nod to southern slag for skunk. It would make for fun raucous comedic group number
Expanding magic kingdom is needed! But I hope Tomorrowland gets some attention too. Yes they just got Tron but there’s empty spots there too
As a DVC member, for many years there is only 1 spot DVC members had a lounge. It was in EPCOT. I think there should be a lounge in every park for DVC members. I do not think they should take away from an open day attraction or a public area being used but maybe use an area that no longer offers or maybe make a new area just for DVC member. What about by the Haunted Mansion in the tree area. Could make a mid-size lounge base of HM theme with a view of River of America.

I think you mentioned some sort of boat version of FOP\Soarin for that Moana attraction few months ago... I think it would be really cool if they did a version like that where you're in a projection mapped dome, where you're in the water. This would give the feeling of the massive expanse that is felt on the ocean when you're sailing. The could mimic being in a storm, waves, etc... Then at the end you drop into a log flume.

Moana would make a lot of sense as a Shanghai Pirates style ride system, with the controlled boats and the massive dome projections. Maybe they are planning that system for Pandora in DCA and Moana in MK?
For Moana, I can only see a Crushes Coaster style attraction with a similar façade/ride building behind Adventureland. It's a little tight with the railway and surrounding buildings. It'll be a jam with that in/out pathway though! There are already 3 water attractions this side of the park. Moana seems destined for a water ride but could work as a fun coaster.
My issue with the BTM update is we just got Tianas so it wouldve been nice to see all the big rides opened to truly test out the capacity of the park now that we have tron, 7DMT, Space, BTM and Tianas
I'm curious about a hypothetical "5th gate", It's time to give Pixar it's own full theme park. If WDA can have the Magic Kingdom more or less. Why can't their be a full Pixar theme park. Heck if Disney really wants to, why not just make a separate theme park in like the Bay area or Texas or something like that.

Personally I’d love to see “Coco’s Fiesta de la Música” and “Moana Wayfinders” come to MK! Coco will work great as a Spanish village transition of Frontierland, and Moana is great for Adventureland!
Encanto’s magical house would be a more “positive” story telling match than Coco for Beyond Thunder Mountain. An entire Land based on Moana with 2 E-ticket attractions (coaster through a tropical island and larger volcano & an indoor dark sail boat ride. Add story telling gardens and waterfalls and animatronic birds, surfing ride, Moana’s Village with restaurants, tropical dancers, etc. Waste of good IP for just 1 ride.
Encanto's house is heading to Animal Kingdom.
I still think Villains works well as a relatively large land surrounding the current edges of Rivers of America. If they fill in a bit and make it a loop, it could work as Haunted Mansion is on one side and with Frontierland, the rock work of that and perhaps Maleficent's Castle could blend alright. I may be alone in this, but I can strangely picture a desert being right in front of some spooky land where all the villains are hanging out, sorta like they have this secret hideout in the middle of nowhere that they never expected anyone to find.
All i want at either Animal Kingdom or Magic Kingdom in either the Villain land or Tropical Americas land is "Yzmas Drop Tower" a drop tower themed to Emporers new groove but when you get to the top you hear the classic wrong lever scene
I was really hoping for Coco or Encanto to be built in EPCOT instead of MK and AK. But, I’d be happy to see a ride built around those IPs in general.

An issue I have: right now, magic kingdom is built perfectly (thanks Walt) as far as layout goes. Each land is unique and the rides within them make sense. Will these rides be in a cohesive land, or are they just going to plop down rides like a common carnival?
I can’t wait for a Villains land. It’s time, give ‘em their due. I’ll be 70, I’m planning a trip out with my birthdate twin, she’ll dig it at least as much as I would!
I think all of these new rides/attractions are great! It's nice to see WDW getting back to showing some love in the parks! County Bears was a day one attraction and im glad they are keeping it! Cant wait to see it! I've been attending WDW theme parks since i was young boy in 1972! Cant wait for this next trip.

Jack, A song for the "Country Bears"? I thought they could use a song from Disney's 1948 film "Melody Time, Blue Shadows on the Trail" Sung by the whole cast. As well as the Moana attraction I would hope they would find a place to re-introduce the sadly missed "Tahitian Terrace" with nightime entertainment. No matter what Disney does beyond "Big Thunder" I would like to see more dramatic landscaping for the M.K. Railroad along the back of Frontierland. Cheers, Chris Perry

why can't we have a reimagining of nature's wonderland or the wild west attraction dark ride that was planned to be the "piratates of the caribean of Florida" attraction. encanto and coco can go to epcot. Animal kingdom gets a refurbed dino land and maybe ips such as tarzan, jungle book, lion king, even moana could work
I know there’s already a lot of Toy Story stuff but they should make “Woody’s Wild West” as part of Frontierland. An area similar to the opening scene of Toy Story 3. Or even just a ride not a land.
A model radiator springs racers appears in we call it imagineering.
It's one of my favourite rides in the World. It would work so well in Hollywood Studios! Replace the current Cars..... thing, and use more space available around it.

I always wanted to go to Cars Land but since that’s on the other side of the country from where I live. So, having something similar in Florida would be nice for a Cars fan such as me since I live closer to Florida than California.

Personally I feel like a cars land expansion actually makes more sense in the animation court yard section of Hollywood studios. They could even have a path that connects the old animation court yard, toys land and rocking roller. It would match both the California theme of that park and the Pixar art style. Also if they did a villains land on the level of fantasy springs in that whole back section I think that would fit magic kingdom really well.
Lastly, I am excited to hear about behind pirates. Personally I think they should also rip out jungle cruise. It's a dul, unfunny, low capacity ride that is sitting on way too much land
I think a Polynesia area fits really nicely into Animal Kingdom and we could have had the Moana attraction in there as well as some Stitch? A Lilo and Stitch themed playyground could have been a cool replacement for The Boneyard.
Villains Kingdom surely has to be in Magic Kingdom as a contrast to Fantasyland? But I think it should be separate to ‘Beyond Big Thunder’ and run along the back of Fantasyland, between Magic Kingdom Drive and Floridian Way.
Quite happy for Coco and Cars to go in Beyond Big Thunder.
An Adventureland expansion is such an exciting prospect. The Indiana Jones ride would have been cool here if it didn’t have to go to AK. What other IPs would fit this area other than Moana?

Really interesting to see what happens here. So many content creators have different speculation/reports as to what will go into Beyond Big Thunder area. Haven’t heard Coco for this space anywhere before. Why does Coco get a ride in AK as well as MK plus a small footprint in the Mexico pavilion. Makes little sense to have that IP have multiple foot prints in 3/4 parks.
Personally, Cars feels life a phase 3. If you want to continue the idea of the “history of America” is that the 1840’s-1860’s is the early years for Mexico, who lost a decent amount of what is now the western US. Then Moana as a phase 2 since Hawaii became a US territory in the 1890’s, then Cars fits with the 50’s/60’s with ideals of roadside America. If yo want to do some “bicentennial buffer” or something between Cars and Haunted Mansion (or just redo the queue so it blurs the line between “we are in the colonial era” and “we are going back to learn about all the owners of this colonial era estate”
Jack - you need to move to Imagineering (from Waltineering). You have such great ideas!! Those songs would be great for Country Bears. I will wait to see the show, but when I heard "Try Everything" was in the show I really got nervous. I love that song, but as pop not country. So I am hoping I will be pleasantly surprised and enjoy the show. Moana in Adventureland would be awesome!
I hate the idea of Cars in Magic Kingdom. I feel it doesn’t blend well with Frontierland at all. Coco I understand and see blending with Frontierland well. I think the idea of a Villain’s Kingdom for MK is a fantastic idea. How it can connect both side of the rivers of America and be a complete copy of fantasyland but a darker version
The Cars rockwork would be the same color as BTM so that color would match or blend same palette as Coco.

I think there will be some of the older tracks sticking around. But they haven’t announced it yet. We’ll see. I think the CBJ theme will stay at least.
I was there opening year, and I have to say it was a year or two before I tried the shooting gallery. It was a one off. Never been back, happy to see it go, but not for another damn DVC sales pod.
It always RIPS me out of the Magic when I have to stroll past a stripmall style sales pod like this. (POD= point of disappointment) (opposite of a photo op).
What if there was A Night On Bald Mountain just north of the Haunted Mansion? Especially if they shrink Rivers of America. One would see bits of Bald Mtn above/behind the HM... I Sketchup designed one that would be a river raft type ride, but as the first of it's kind fully indoor darkride using a motion controlled raft... Riders could dial in how much "wet" was desired:0 - DRENCH...
They ought to build a muppets themed indoor roller coaster at one of the parks.
I think instead of coco being phase 1 cars should because the background kinda goes well with big thunder and phase 2 uses more land and had 2 big lands and 1 small land and for adventure land to have a trackless Moana ride bc in mk there is no trackless

Sounds like they should ditch the Cars land and these Ip's and bring back Western River expedition. They should use a blend of Davis's ideas and make a great ride that people will know and love without attaching an IP to it
They would be smart to do coco, it’s the only one that really fits into the west theme
I really hope and think Moana will get something, whether it's at MK or Hollywood Studios. That IP has been too profitable for Disney plus if Moana 2 is hit, it's a lock for an attraction

Appreciate the updates Jack! Have you heard anything about the former stitch’s great escape theater? That’s another big crowd eater and honestly it still feels like Tomorrowland could benefit from it.
I heard back in January that something was being considered for that space. But not heard anything since. I feel like the DVC lounge should’ve gone there instead as it’s just empty wasted space at the moment.
How about a whole Moana theme Water Park? 🏝️
With the Ocean Wave pool with sandy Beach & lots of Palm Trees & Village with a Tropical Restaurant. Make a Real E Attraction Rides there along with the water slides. Just because it’s never been done doesn’t mean they couldn’t………Different water slides could be on different islands from the movie, along with a Ride. They could have an epic Maui slide on the island Moana found Maui on. And a Sting Ray ride Iike Sea World has, but individual Rays to ride on. And a “underwater” ride (like the submarine ride) with Tamatoa & the Treasure from the Realm of the Monsters! And a Beautiful
Te Fiti Ride with a Giant Te Fiti on top of her Island.🥰

Really hope the Villains area goes to DHS - just think it could be a fun fit and if they do enclose it so it can be night time all that time that would be great. Could also work if they do a Halloween event at DHS similar to Jollywood Nights
If Frontierland Shootin' Arcade will close in the Magic Kingdom, then the other in Disneyland in Anaheim will still open forever.

Imo, these two expansions will be used to anchor the two areas on either side of the Disneyland resort hotel(s) for the 'Disney Forward' project. Moana & Coco would also fit perfectly at California.
Why expand Magic Kingdom. It has more rides and other attractions than the other 3 parks combined and MK has a ride out of service right now too. What happened with replacing the track at Spaceship Earth. That needs it badly.

Ugly Bug Ball!! That IS a deep cut. Great song. But I doubt we'll get obscure songs. I expect they'll want to keep with popular and familiar tunes. Even though shows like America Sings and the original Country Bears were great for shedding light on classics, standards, and historical music that people might not otherwise hear.
